Guest Duke_The_Dog Report post Posted January 18, 2006 Thanks to Arnold_OldSchool, who took over during my week in the pound..... Dave's work my blantant copying: Former WWE star Matt Morgan was arrested Friday night for impersonating a police officer after he pulled over a female driver. WON Wrestler of the Year was Kenta Kobashi – Eddie Gurrero came in 5th, Shawn Micheals in 8th Batista vs HHH won Fued of the Year Eddy vs Rey took 2nd, Shawn vs Angle took 3rd, Edge vs Hardy 5th, Hogan vs Micheals 6th Eddy won for best interviews For Most overated #1 was Jarrett but then WWE took 2. HHH, 3. Masters, 4. Cena, 5.JBL, 6. Taker, 7.Orton, 9. Heidenreich. 10. Carlito Only WWE match in match of the Year was Angle vs Shawn at WMania Coachman won for worst announcer I’m confused as to how Mr Fuji won Worst Manager 11 times from 84-95 The Taker Terrorist attack won worst promotional tactic Mr kennedy and Boogey man were 1st and 2nd for Best Gimmick - Boogie man also finished 2nd for worst gimmick ------------ Vince asked Bret hart to be at Homecoming and was turned down, then Survivor Series and was turned down, Creative is under the impression that Bret will be involved at Wrestlemaina, though there is no evidence to support that Austin and the WWE are having strained relations due to the latest creative breakdown They have no idea what to offer Hogan now, as Hogan is set on certain feuds and he and the WWE are at a stand still. The WWE even proposed a “Legends” match of Hogan vs Greg Valentine at WM. Hogan has it in his contract, that no matter where he wrestles on the card, he receives the most money of all the workers (So even if he works the opener, he gets more than the main eventers) Hogan said he doesn’t want to be like Flair and lower his value by appearing vs midcarders. Cena, Angle or Big Show are still his 3 choices with Austin out. The Rock may appear at Mania but not to wrestle. Cena was not told if or when he would be getting the belt back, and was quietly upset by it, but took it in stride and didn’t raise a fuss. HHH looks to be winning the belt at Mania Dave assumes Angle vs Orton will be the Wmania SD! Main event Originally the thought was Taker vs Orton – but that was overdone – then Rey got a brief consideration – then Beniot – but Beniot/Orton was done to death on TV recently Flair vs Steamboat at Wrestlemania – One more time – was bantered about but ultimately nixed. This was due to Steamboat being 53, and out of action for 12 years. (Didn’t want a bad match @WM) In Edge’s High School yearbook it reads under his name “Most likely to be WWF champion someday” Kevin Nash has a Small role in the new comedy “Grandma’s Boy” TNA is upsetting some wrestlers by proposing that they control Indy dates for the guys, and charge more and then keep a commission. Bret hart said in a recent interview that when he got the “Hitman” gimmick, Vince wanted him to dress like a gangster in pinstripes. He refused. JBL may dump Jillian Hall for Angel Williams soon Victoria opened a Pizzera in Louisville Havoc of WXW was used as a SD! Extra recently, He went to change in the dressing room, Teddy Long asked him to wait as Teddy was getting dressed. Havoc thought he needed to be dressed right away and tried to get in. JBL saw this as disrespectful and kicked him out of the locker room, saying he doesn’t deserve to dress in the same room as the boys. Jillian Hall is thought to be on the cutting block, ditto Vito. There were a lot of production problems on a recent SD! That were edited out. Tazz dropped a F-bomb and forgot to put over Booker in the SD! Magazine, and listed the wrong date on another segment. After the Kane movie ad ran Tazz said “Stinks” but that was never meant to go over the air. During the taping Cole was complaining about not having a table to work on, and said his earphones were to loud. Tazz called him a primadonna for that. Dave says SS Graham’s book is the best bio since Foley’s 1st book. On WWE Raw over the summer, Todd Grisham stated that Edge’s MITB contract would be void if the RAW Champ left the promotion. Melina did a recent photo shoot with the Women’s title belt. Candice, Torrie and Victoria will be known as “Vince’s Devils” a play off of Charlie’s Angels. Luther Reighns worked as a body guard at a porn convention recently “1 night in China” won the reward for best selling porn at that convention
2GOLD 0 Report post Posted January 18, 2006 Hogan has it in his contract, that no matter where he wrestles on the card, he receives the most money of all the workers (So even if he works the opener, he gets more than the main eventers) Hogan said he doesn’t want to be like Flair and lower his value by appearing vs midcarders. Cena, Angle or Big Show are still his 3 choices with Austin out. Leave him the fuck at home then. If he wants to be part of Mania, tell him they need beer vendors or someone to push the Vince's Devils t-shirts. Vince asked Bret hart to be at Homecoming and was turned down, then Survivor Series and was turned down, Creative is under the impression that Bret will be involved at Wrestlemaina, though there is no evidence to support that That's right, prepare a segment for someone that doesn't appear to want to have anything to do with Mania. They have offered Bret everything but like an Owen Hart plaque. The guy appears like he is done with the company.
Jericho2000Mark 0 Report post Posted January 18, 2006 Hogan said he doesn’t want to be like Flair and lower his value by appearing vs midcarders. Cena, Angle or Big Show are still his 3 choices with Austin out. They should go with Cena-Hogan. Cena will be booed against practically anyone at this point, but at least with Hogan, they could convince the other fans that they have an excuse, because Hogan is Hogan and would get cheered over anyone except maybe Austin. Not to mention it's the closest thing they have to a money match this year, especially if their other big mania matches are Triple H-Edge, Angle-Orton and Taker-Henry... Dear lord, how will they pull a decent WrestleMania out of their ass this year? Thanks for the tidbits!
Guest Ransome Report post Posted January 18, 2006 Hogan said he doesn’t want to be like Flair and lower his value by appearing vs midcarders. Cena, Angle or Big Show are still his 3 choices with Austin out. Of the three, Hogan vs Cena is probably the preferable choice. Cena would need to go full-blown heel for it to happen, though, which WWE seem extremely reluctant to do. I'd rather Hogan never wrestled for WWE ever again, except possibly for a Hogan/Austin match with Austin going over. Dave assumes Angle vs Orton will be the Wmania SD! Main event Originally the thought was Taker vs Orton – but that was overdone – then Rey got a brief consideration – then Beniot – but Beniot/Orton was done to death on TV recently I can't believe they're still considering Orton in the WM main event. How can they be so adament about succeeding with Orton after booking him so poorly over the last year? I can't see a single proposed WM headlining match that appeals to me, at this stage. Thanks for posting these, btw.
claydude14 0 Report post Posted January 18, 2006 No mention of the RAW main event except that HHH looks to regain the title? HHH/Edge ain't a Mania match but then there was that blurb about Cena not being told when he'd get the belt back, which might put Cena/HHH in doubt.

On Wrestling Observer Live, Meltzer said Triple H-Cena had a small chance of happening at this point and I believe mentioned Triple H-Edge as the possible Raw main event. Hawk 34 0 Report post Posted January 18, 2006 Once again, Hogan/Cena Vs TBS/Kane for the tag team titles. It's not like WWE will have the smarts to use TBS/Kane (whom apparently arent teaming anymore despite being champs) against reunited WGTT. That would be a mega-match and it saves the Hogan/Cena program for the summer. Angle/Orton doesn't even look like a secondary ppv main event, much less WM. I would imagine Triple H is turning face for the Edge feud, just wonder how they pull it off but it can work.

It's not like WWE will have the smarts to use TBS/Kane (whom apparently arent teaming anymore despite being champs) against reunited WGTT. Somehow I'm convinced we'll see TBS/Kane vs. Carlito/Masters for the Tag Titles. There probably won't be enough room on the card to give Carlito or Masters high profile singles matches, but you know they'll want to give them something important to do. That's my gut feeling as well, but if anything I would just leave the ic title on Flair for the moment (since hot-shotting the title now isnt going to do anything) and Flair can put over Masters with Carlito playing Shawn to Masters's diesel. Flair will want a WM match and this is a good opportunity for them to make Masters look good winning the title on the big stage and we know Flair will bump like crazy to put over Masters. Angelus 0 Report post Posted January 18, 2006 Vince asked Bret hart to be at Homecoming and was turned down, then Survivor Series and was turned down, Creative is under the impression that Bret will be involved at Wrestlemaina, though there is no evidence to support that Apparently many in the company didn't believe he was serious when he told McMahon that he will not return at Wrestlemania. ( At first they wanted him to do a last single match with McMahon, telling him that it would be the biggest money match of all-time, telling him it would top one million buy. ). This is why creative went in the direction they did with all the mention of his name and stuff in the last few Raw shows. In fact in recent weeks a company official suggested to Metzler that in the end, it is always money that win .. I guess they will try every year to get him. They could also have Kane & Show vs. 3-Minute Warning, if they're built up enough by then. 3MW already started doing dark matches. The thing that I really hate about the Kane/Show team is that when they lose the belts, it's most definitely going to lead to yet another feud between the two. He doesn't even have a logical opponent and I think we all know he won't draw shit as a face. Which is why I'm PRAYING SOMEONE in WWE creative watches the Mania 21 DVD and remembers the set-up for a possible Triple H/John "Bradshaw" Layfield match. Anyone who doesn't know what I'm talking about: JBL and Orlando were walking backstage, and Triple H and Flair walk in from the other direction. The two of them trade minor insults (Trips being sarcastic about the "wrestling god" thing, JBL mentioning that (at the time) he was the only one undefeated as a champion). They then mentioned they'd see who at the end of the night was best by having title gold with them. Perfectly set up for a Mania Match...have them eliminate each other from the Royal Rumble, and blame each other for not being in a title match. They then fight to try to prove who is the superior main-event level wrestler out of the two of them. Plus, it will keep both of them out of possible title matches. Guest JRE Report post Posted January 18, 2006 They won't find the big money match this year. Put on Angle/Benoit (World Title) for credibility.
cabbageboy 0 Report post Posted January 18, 2006 Well on PWInsider.com the Angle/Benoit match had 42% of the vote on possible WM matches for Angle. For Edge, RVD was leading the vote with 35%, Shawn was 2nd with 18.5%. ChrisMWaters, I agree big time on the HHH/JBL match. They need some sort of Raw/SD matches for WM and that one was to some extent already set up last year. Let's face it, HHH vs. Cena is an idea dying a horrible death and HHH vs. Edge simply makes no sense. How the hell can HHH suddenly turn face after all the truly evil shit he's done lately (Beating the shit out of Flair repeatedly, attacking Big Show and breaking his hand, etc)? HHH won't be over as a face anyway. In fact I dare say HHH right now is in a bit of a pickle and might need to screw someone over and hold people down. It's going to look bad if he turns face and then a returning RVD is getting obviously bigger pops. Conversely, Edge is a hot heel at the moment so if HHH stays heel he'd have to play 2nd fiddle to Edge. The simple solution of course is to send him to the depleted SD roster, but as we all know HHH doesn't wanna do it.
