Good show that led us into the PPV pretty well. Rodez/Black was a very good back and forth match with a good story to go with it (Rodez possibly jeopardizing his tag match to get #30 and the Upstarts not caring who wins as long as both kill each other). KC also showed he's been hanging around Patty too long with that promo. Krista has *gasp*....f-f-feelings? Speaking of Patty, Krista and Alix on commentary might be the funniest thing you've ever written, bar none. The two AC matches were good and Zack's match put over how unstable Zack has become these past few weeks. I decided to have PK explain his reasons for turning as well, so I hope it made sense.

 

As for the 5-on-5 match, the match SEEMS long, but it actually was a pretty quick read for me once you get past the entrances.

 

All in all, good show. Maybe I can finally get cracking on the "I Quit" match now.

I'm glad to know I'm not the only one who has work to do on their AP match. I have some of it written but I've since gone back and changed a good chunk of it.

 

I thought this week's show was very strong. Everything seemed to be clicking, from the promos to the matches. Without question one of our best pre-PPV shows we've ever done, IMO.

 

Either Axel has a damn big office or 29 OAOAST superstars were crammed in one room. Although the thought of all the Originals/anti-Upstarts wrestlers confined to a small space while The Upstarts wine and dine is pretty cool. Axel flexing his power to start the show.

 

Kickass match to start the show. The middle portion to the end was rocking. Hard fought win for Rodez.

 

We follow up an excellent match with an excellent promo from Zack. Some might say he's our Triple H. I say can Triple H take over a dance floor like our man Zack can? Hell, no.

 

To steal a line from Michael P.S. Hayes, Brock's match was an "execution of an exhibition." A showcase for the big man.

 

The Rodez/COD/Los Diablos segment was absolutely F'N' priceless. Lots of great lines. Alix talking about not having received presents until tonight and Leon repeatedly saying he wanted to have sex with her was hilarious.

 

You know the show is rockin' when even DAVE Hebner's getting some love. Good thing the HI-YAH tag belts weren't on the line. Uh-oh. I smell a feud. Book it! Nice, little match.

 

I sorta knew Sly was coming back. Outside of NYU, The Superstar or AS himself, there isn't anybody that could live up to a surprise return. More singles characters are welcome. I think we have a shortage of faces.

 

I see we have a lot of guys who like to play dress up. Good promo and angle to push the World Title match at AP.

 

Hurray for Patty! He touched me up. I mean, he touched up my work not me. For some reason I thought running into a woman's breasts was a great finish. And because of him I fell behind on my AP match. So if it sucks you know why. But anything for Patty, Patty, Patty O'Green. He's so fine he makes me scream. PATTY!

 

Loved the NNMX-Zack match. Zack looked strong--and crazy. The NNMX looked strong. Everybody came out smelling like a rose. Now I gotta deliver at Anglepalooza.

 

Raw this ain't. It's always refreshing when we give the ME slot to guys other than the main players. Helluva effort.

 

I was a bit confused by the Heartland Title match. The match itself was very entertaining, but was it No DQ? It didn't say in the intros so I don't know.

 

MOTN: Tough choice. There's 3 matches you could give it to, but I gotta go with Dan Black vs. Leon Rodez. It may be bias talking, but I really liked that match.

All HL matches are anything goes. I thought I pointed that out when I changed the name of the belt, but I may just not be doing a good job of dwelling on it during the matches.

Six Women's Tag has been edited in to the end of the show. Apologies to PFL that it's...well, pretty damn short. As usual, Sod's Law dictates that whenever I need to do something, something manages to screw it all up. This time, it was my feeble brain.

I was going to write and send in the segments that are missing from this week's show, but then I realized that I'm just not going to have the time to do them since I got a whole lot of stuff to do this weekend (including writing the PRL/Colombian Heat match AND go to the Royal Rumble on Sunday). So, the 5-On-5 Survivor Series Elimination Match is the only thing I'm sending for this week's show. Sorry.

Very good show, especially for one before a “pay per view”. Historically the HD's before PPV's aren't always packed with content.

I liked the interview stage segment with PK and SJ. When PK name dropped Oprah, I was just waiting for the James Frey reference. Man, Oprah was pissed about that. Anyway the reasons Knight expressed for turning heel made sense to moi. It was nice to see that the turn was a result of a long brewing anger, instead of some sudden issue. Patty really dug Zack's promo, what a cuckoo! Zack, not me. Although you could make a case for me. Marty's a funny recurring character. The show had a solid mainevent that did a nice job of leading into the big match on Sunday between PRL and Heat. However, I was surprised to see Brickston get eliminated so quickly. I pegged him to last until the very end. If I gave MOTN awards, which I don't, I'd give it to Rodez/Black. But I don't give that award, so I'll just say it was a very good opener. Nice to see Foshi and Ragdoll back after their one week hiatuses.

 

I thought Cole's logic that Max Anderson had the inside track on the Anderson cup because of his last name made perfect sense! For the most part, the opening round of the 06 Anderson Cup went off well. I can't decide if I like this years better then last years however. This year did have two upsets in the first round and I don't think we had a single upset in any round last year. I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong. I still hold a grudge over Tony not letting me have the Frankensteiner's win the 05 tournament. I'll never get over that. That man ain't hearing me.

 

Mad love to Tony and KC for helping me out and co-writing with me this week. KC however broke my heart by having Molly Matthews get pinned in that women's match.

Good show, especially Black/Rodez, which I enjoyed a lot. I think there could be an entertaining feud there somewhere down the line. Elsewhere, Patty was on his usual excellent form and I liked the Knight promo.
