Clusterfuck's going to be going up late, as most matches had some portion cut off. We managed to get some of them fixed, but some people are offline right now, so we're pretty well screwed until they get back on.

 

I don't know what the new character limit is, I'll check in a bit, but just be aware - for future matches, the really big ones, break them into smaller sections when PM'ing them to markers.

 

We hope to have the 'Fuck up by Monday evening.

75000 characters is the limit

 

As a reference my 15000 word Fuck match clocked in at around 84-850000 characters so any fuck match near the limit will have the end cut if people aren't aware of it

 

Since it's by character and not by word count it's hard to set a concrete limit so if you have a match that's in the 10K or above range it's probably a good idea to use the "Check post Length" button (or Message lenght or whatever) to ensure that you sent your FULL match

 

Same limit applies to posts on the boards

I'd never trust what the board says the character limit is. When i was posting the 2002 Clusterfuck it cut me off at a little more than 57000 characters despite saying the limit was 75000 or so, having been burned by matches getting cut off in PM's before i'd advise to double and triple check if the full match went through, regardless how far you're under any supposed limit.

I've completed marking the main event, so it's just a matter of the CF getting organized.

 

The new PM character limit is 50,000 and change, or roughly 10,000 words. So make that note the next time you have to send a long match in.

 

Alternatively, we could also make use of the new attachment feature and just send the .txt or .doc files that matches are written in.

I've just resent the last half of my match write up as there was a big gap in it last night.

I resent the whole thing. One 49,000 character and another 45 to 46,000 one. Those are rough estimates. So I hope they go through. Oh and the new maximum post length is like 137,000...yeah.
