2GOLD 0 Report post Posted February 5, 2006 Do have proof on that? I'll have to check my wiretaps, photos and with my witnesses before I throw together my 3000 page report on "HHH has too much pull in the WWE". Course, most of the pages will just say "YES" in big bold letters and different fonts. Maybe some Italics and underlines as well.
Dr. Zaius 0 Report post Posted February 5, 2006 That's what Vince ended up doing in 1997 (ok, we all knew it but at least he admitted it) Yes, he did admit it. Fifteen years later.
Hoff 0 Report post Posted February 5, 2006 You know what makes me think a person is smart? When they use a wrestler's real name. Man, that really ups my opinion of someone and totally lends creedence to their argument. Housewife. The generally held belief is that HHH has political power. There is circumstantial evidence to support that. As the one challenging popular opinion, the burden of proof is yours. Get on that.

Guest Desperate Housewife Report post Posted February 5, 2006 Would a copy of HHH's marriage certificate count as proof? Are people allowed to like wwe and tna yet? WOW! he's married to Steph. Big Deal. Housewife. The generally held belief is that HHH has political power. There is circumstantial evidence to support that. As the one challenging popular opinion, the burden of proof is yours. Get on that. Circumstantial? He supposedly buried someone? He supposedly asked that the Pre-Raw pics be taken down because he believes in kayfabe? If this was an anti-WWE thing, I'd understand. But it's not. It's an anti-HHH thing

Did person A pick his name out of a hat and that started a snowball effect?

Guest Dam(o)nYankees Report post Posted February 6, 2006 I think some of the circumstantial evidence that people mention is, for instance, situations like RVD and Booker T. Or especially Jericho. HHH would go out there and cut interviews where he would point out very real flaws in a RVD, and than, as the "ring general" which he does admit to being, and make a point of accentuating those flaws in the match. And then beat him soundly with the Pedigree and come out the next night and say "See, I told you." Or Booker T, who wasn't good enough because he was black. And then in the match, he's dominated and pinned half a minute after the Pedigree. And then HHH comes out and says "I yold you so" And Jericho, who was never in his league, and was beaten soundly over and over and over again. And then HHH would come out and say "Told You so." It seemed that (especially around that period) everyone that was on the cusp of something would be trashed on the mic by HHH, beaten in the blow off with HHH's finisher and buried the next night on the mic. Now, when you consider that he's friends with some of the biggest politicians in the business, AND he's fucking the boss's daughter, who happens to also be head writer, maybe you can see where some people may begin to think. And then people come out and start confirming it.

Guest Dam(o)nYankees Report post Posted February 6, 2006 Leftover bias from The Clique combined with the anti-WWE/Pro-TNA slant this messageboard has HHH did jackshit during the Clique days to garner such hatred. And personally, I can tell you that WWE/F whatever is the only wrestling company I've ever watched, and while I hate decissions they may make (shafting Rey for the heatless, awful Orton) I don't hate the company. Its the company that made Steve Austin, The Rock and Kurt Angle stars, and I'll always appeciate that.

And hey, thats cool that you love WWE because they created Austin, Rock, Kurt Angle - but if you're criticising the WWE, you're not a fan Alright, that's awesome. You can't be a fan of something if you criticize? Say I'm watching hockey, and the Canucks are on, who are my favorite team. Now, I know next to nothing about hockey, and am a casual fan at best. I see Alex Auld let in 3 goals. I turn to my friend and go, "Wow, Canucks sure need better goal tending!". Am I not a fan anymore?
Guest Desperate Housewife Report post Posted February 6, 2006 You're criticising the product for several blind reasons (burying the cruisers, not pushing so and so), not praising the good things they are doing - that's not being a fan. I won't even go near the idea of a WWE "fan" praising TNA

Guest Dam(o)nYankees Report post Posted February 6, 2006 RE" Orton - Would u prefer Smackdown had no credible heels? I'd rather they find someone that's good at things to build up as top heel, while elevating Rey. Orton is a lost cause. The fans don't give a shit, and haven't for a year and a half. His wrestling and promos have gone to hell, and someone must have told him that all he needed to do was make stupid faces during his chinlocks rather than drop the boring as ass spot. He gets flustered on the mic and can seemingly only work a good match with Benoit anymore. And of course you can be a fan and criticize something. If you take the time to complain about its faults, you obviously care about it.

I won't even go near the idea of a WWE "fan" praising TNA I praise them when they do things right. I praised them for putting the belt on Angle. They actually turned me around and got me to like and accept champion Edge. I actually think Shelton's Mama is working out damn well. I praised them for letting Rey win the Rumble (The follow up, not so much) I praised them for making Mark Henry acceptable. Their DVDs, and to a lesser extent, wrestler books are unGodly good. Mickie vs. Trish is one of the better storylines of the last few years, and would be even better if Ashley wasn't so bad. But the bad (pushing the bad Randy Orton and stubbornly sticking with face Cena, are pressing issues heading into the biggest show ever.

CanadianChick 0 Report post Posted February 6, 2006 How is not pushing cruiserweights a blind reason? It seems to be a legit one, despite no one in this thread speicifically saying anything about the cruiserweights. I agree that saying HHH is holding down Paul London and Spanky is ridiculous, but saying HHH is halting Edge's momentum at the time is a pretty strong arguement. Who would benefit without Edge being the number 1 heel? Triple H. Who is cutting all these promos saying that he's going to regain the title, etc? Triple H. Who is the only (as far as what's been confirmed) current wrestler on WWE Creative? Huh, that would be Triple H!

They have to push someone. Why does it have to be Randy Orton? What has he done to deserve it? Why does Cena have to be a face? Cena could conceivably be the top heel on the show.
