Damn, not even a single mention of a stupidly retarded gimmick? Come on, a white thug rapper??? wtf? What started out as a joke has turned into a crappy gimmick full of "whiggering", and then of course the gay and dick jokes(how original) with the delivery of a kid with downs syndrome...

Hell, if he just had a different gimmick that wasn't such an insult to the senses, more people wouldn't mind him, workrate be damned.

Batista also was only a babyface for less than a year as well in his current role. As you said Cena has been face since late 2003. It just proves my point. Once the wwe does a major change in his character the essence of Cena's charisma will draw fans to him again. Look at the HHH babyface pop scenario I'm bringing up. It's because he is not the same dull character hogging the spotlight as he put over Benoit in 2004 and then Batista more than once in 2005. He hasn't worn the belt since Mania last year and the dread of him being champ is not as great as before. The fans turn on everybody or show less enthusiasm towards the wrestler. It's just the way it is.

I hate it when people ruin perfectly good joke threads with serious discussion.

'klEk is correct. The other is only accepted because of its popular misuse.

Hey, why quote me? I didn't start it. I was making fun of all the people making fun of John Cena when at one time some people were saying he was the "next Rock and Austin" for the company. The joke in that quote is the fickleness of wrestling fans who take themselves seriously and don't see the joke in all of this. Look at Cena's first impression as Vanilla Ice to becoming WWE Champion. He isn't claiming to be Eminem or a street thug, but that joke always comes up.

72. He says "the champ is here" and he also says "you can't see me" Confusing me as to whether or not I can see him or not.

73. People judge his boos and cheers every week based on the deepness of them.

74. He botches moves almost as much as AJ Styles, but he isn't doing anything phenomenal that warrants it.

Yeah I noticed that. He's like an action figure.

76. When he comes out, he makes more noise than his crowd reaction. He's going for the "intense" Kurt Angle thing, except nobody buys him as a legit threat, whereas Kurt could legit take anyone down.

Which confirms my theory that John Cena is a giant action figure that was brought to life

Don't be stupid... He has yet to be brought to life.
