buffybeast 0 Report post Posted February 8, 2006 Matt Hardy said: "She's in a totally different place to when she was sucked in by my lying, betraying former friend." I don't understand. Did Edge force Amy to take her clothes off and fuck him? C'mon, she's no fool. She knew what the hell her actions were wrong. She admitted her mistake, yes. But I don't understand his rationale when he says "sucked in".
Guest Dam(o)nYankees Report post Posted February 8, 2006 What an utterly unlikeable person.

Did Edge force Amy to take her clothes off and fuck him? C'mon, she's no fool. She knew what the hell her actions were wrong. She admitted her mistake, yes. But I don't understand his rationale when he says "sucked in". It's like when a kid gets arrested, and his (or her) parents decide that it HAS to be the other kids' faults, not their beloved offspring. Basically, since he likes one of the people that fucked him over and not the other, it HAS to be the fault of the one that he doesn't like. Oh, and after reading that interview, Hardy's seemingly learned nothing about being a mark for himself.
notJames 0 Report post Posted February 8, 2006 Someone pass Matt an emo shirt and a Taking Back Sunday CD. Jeez, what little sympathy and support I ever had for him just did a leg drop off a 60 ft. ladder. And I'm sure all those "what if's" about TNA will be answered sooner rather than later. See you on Slammin' Saturday Nights, Matt.
mfn 0 Report post Posted February 8, 2006 He needs to get overhimself... Talking about.... I didn't see the PPV I was too busy main eventing a SD! house show. Or, Edge wouldn't have gotten there if it weren't for me.... Okay buddy. You were the crappier of the two Hardy's to begin with.
Guest Korgath Report post Posted February 9, 2006 The sad thing is that Matt doesn't seem to have grown out of his "Wolverine"/"Surge"/"High Voltage" days. His Version 1 gimmick was a stroke of genius, but now he's going back to the OMEGA roots that he should have left far behind.
Silence 0 Report post Posted February 9, 2006 Is it just me, or is Matt Hardy one of the stupidest wrestlers ever?
Spaceman Spiff 0 Report post Posted February 9, 2006 Or, Edge wouldn't have gotten there if it weren't for me.... Well, that's true. Edge was aimless as a face, and the Matt/Lita/Edge thing made Edge the hottest heel in the company. Without that, do you honestly think Edge would have had his brief 3 week title run? Okay buddy. You were the crappier of the two Hardy's to begin with. Well, that's false. The V1 gimmick proved Matt to be loads better than Jeff. What could Jeff do besides jump off stuff? alfdogg 0 Report post Posted February 9, 2006 It wasn't Matt himself, though, it was the nature of the angle. If Edge were to stick it in Torrie Wilson, Kidman would be just as over if he came back.
Spaceman Spiff 0 Report post Posted February 9, 2006 I dunno. Matt had a lot of fans who directed their ire towards Edge. Kidman didn't even have a fraction of the fans Matt did (and I like Kidman). Do you actually think arenas would be filled w/ "We want Kidman!" chants? It happening to Matt MADE the angle.

I beg to differ. It has been several years and a company ago since Kidman had connected with the audience to any extent. Even so, it was fleeting and due to a big push. Gary Floyd 0 Report post Posted February 9, 2006 God, this is hilarious. Just when you thought Matt couldn't get any less likeable, this comes along. Set Controls for the Heat of the Sun emo boy.
Guest Korgath Report post Posted February 9, 2006 It wasn't Matt himself, though, it was the nature of the angle. If Edge were to stick it in Torrie Wilson, Kidman would be just as over if he came back. I disagree. The very thing that makes Matt so incorrigible to the smarks on this board is the very thing that made the angle work. Matt's overzealous emotional status that he shared with everyone online. By being open and literally gushing about his relationship with Amy, he endeared himself to many fans, who then turned on Edge for "breaking it up". Matt was the emo wrestling icon for so many emo fans.

Nighthawk 0 Report post Posted February 9, 2006 Maybe it stems from my not watching the show every week (I watch maybe every third week), but I don't see how he comes off so bad in this interview. If he sucks really bad, then maybe, but he doesn't really seem to suck really bad.

It has been several years and a company ago since Kidman had connected with the audience to any extent. Even so, it was fleeting and due to a big push. Not to mention the fact that Edge and Hardy were linked as being really tight, and this was a complete stab-in-the-back that few others would be able to measure up to. As for saying that Jeff was better, watch some match footage. Or some of their promos. Or just anything in general.
The Buzz 0 Report post Posted February 9, 2006 I actually thought he sounded pretty respectful in the interview. I've read a lot of wrestler's interviews that sound ten times worse in the whining department, and the ego department. Matt Hardy actually sounds optimistic about his career rather than whine. He bitched and moaned before, but there is no one on this planet that hasn't bitched and moaned to others at one point or another about something bad going on in their life. alfdogg 0 Report post Posted February 9, 2006 Yeah, I guess I wasn't really looking at the whole picture when I made my post...I was just viewing them in terms of their characters, and I've personally never been that interested by Hardy.

But his heat was nothing to write home about, and he was made to look like a total bitch by HBK. The story managed to send his heat through the roof.
mfn 0 Report post Posted February 9, 2006 Well, that's false. The V1 gimmick proved Matt to be loads better than Jeff. What could Jeff do besides jump off stuff? Early Hardy boy stuff, Jeff was the better of the two IMO... As far as solo workers.... I guess that goes to Matt, but that's only because Jeff was/is a druggy. If you mean OMEGA, Matt schools Jeff. He cuts a better promo, does better with the mat work, and seems to work between heel and face far better (Jeff has great charisma as a face, but Matt could work both brilliantly), and showed far more personality in his work when they were both behind the mask. Guest Dam(o)nYankees Report post Posted February 10, 2006 Speaking of Matt's promos, what in the bloody fuck happened? Ever since the initial move back to Raw, they've gone to shit, and since his return, he's one of the worst in the company.
