Annabelle Posted February 21, 2006 Report Posted February 21, 2006 Russia is known to have goalies to crack under pressure. if thats enough to hinge your hopes upon...
Guest Posted February 21, 2006 Report Posted February 21, 2006 Especially considering Nabokov only played the 1st and is rested, and shutout Sweden earlier. Let's say he does fail. Does Canada have the defensemen to keep the puck away from Brodeur or Luongo? Hell no. The Russians can flat out shoot.
CanadianGuitarist Posted February 22, 2006 Report Posted February 22, 2006 canada can beat russia, don't get me wrong. canada has the tools to make russia suffer for any major mistakes. but judging by every game of the tournmane thus far, russia will murder them.
Lt. Al Giardello Posted February 22, 2006 Report Posted February 22, 2006 I know for a fact if Darryl Sutter was coach of Team Canada, and he was the one who choose the players, Canada would dominate. Pat Quinn, IMO did one of the biggest fuck ups in hockey history, by not picking Staal or Phanuff. Hell I think Crosby would of been a much better pick then Shane Doan, or Kris Draper.

Before two weeks ago, I'd have considered the thought of Crosby > Draper....Not now though, Draper's been fantastic.
Annabelle Posted February 22, 2006 Report Posted February 22, 2006 draper has been the bets player on the team. if team canada had motr players like him they;d be more successful. hence my idea of putting sullivan & other speedsters on the team to through off the opponant. this is a team game, not an allstar team.
Guest Princess Leena Posted February 22, 2006 Report Posted February 22, 2006 Russia! Too bad I can't type cyrillic. They need my cheers to defeat yucky Canadia!
CanadianGuitarist Posted February 22, 2006 Report Posted February 22, 2006 Yucky Canada? Bite me, Yankee. It's a lost cause, rrsh. She's worse than fucking MikeSC.
Urban Warfare Posted February 22, 2006 Report Posted February 22, 2006 Please help -- is this game on CBC radio or not? I will be at school during the game..
Annabelle Posted February 22, 2006 Report Posted February 22, 2006 get a life, kids. she's just messin' around with you. who cares if she hates canada anyway? im canadian and i would give a fuck if americans hate us. we hate them. them hate us. big deal. it works both ways.
Guest Posted February 22, 2006 Report Posted February 22, 2006 I thought Russia was supposed to hate Canada? Hockey wise, anyway. It's all in good fun, I don't feel real disdain. I just want you guys to go out soon due to some boisterous members of your country (not here).
Guest Princess Leena Posted February 22, 2006 Report Posted February 22, 2006 Yucky Canada? Bite me, Yankee. I'm not a Yankee. I'm Russian/Czech, and hate all things North American. Despite me living here.
Guest Rrrsh Posted February 22, 2006 Report Posted February 22, 2006 Please help -- is this game on CBC radio or not? I will be at school during the game.. Doubt it hommie.
CanadianChris Posted February 22, 2006 Report Posted February 22, 2006 Please help -- is this game on CBC radio or not? I will be at school during the game.. CBC.ca's radio schedule says no.
nl5xsk1 Posted February 22, 2006 Report Posted February 22, 2006 Russia is known to have goalies to crack under pressure. ^ I disagree. If the USSR coach doesn't overreact in '80, the Miracle never happens.
Red Baron Posted February 22, 2006 Report Posted February 22, 2006 Let me rephrase that. Russia goalies in the last 15 years have been known to crack under pressure.
Red Baron Posted February 22, 2006 Report Posted February 22, 2006 Sweden is dominating against the Swiss leading 5-1. Bad news for Sweden and Vancouver fans as Matias Ohlund left the game with a rib injury.
Guest Princess Leena Posted February 22, 2006 Report Posted February 22, 2006 US already down 1-0. How is Finland so good in this tourney? :s
Red Baron Posted February 22, 2006 Report Posted February 22, 2006 They have probably one of the best offence in the tourney, and probably the fastest team in the tourney. No surprise there.
CanadianGuitarist Posted February 22, 2006 Report Posted February 22, 2006 I think I'm more worried about Sweden at this point.....
naiwf Posted February 22, 2006 Report Posted February 22, 2006 Lundqvist! That is all, since the fucking Americans forgot to bring their game with them when they flew over to Italy.
Slayer Posted February 22, 2006 Report Posted February 22, 2006 we hate them. them hate us. Them hate you much indeed
The Czech Republic Posted February 22, 2006 Report Posted February 22, 2006 we hate them. them hate us. Them hate you much indeed Cave-Banky smash!
Guest Rrrsh Posted February 22, 2006 Report Posted February 22, 2006 Nice comeback for the States. They almost have it. Man, the US really didnt get a single break all tourney. They played hard and were in every game except for teh Russia game, but every break went aginast them.
Guest Princess Leena Posted February 22, 2006 Report Posted February 22, 2006 Holy shit... that was a great effort from Ovechkin! Molodets Russia. Davai.
Slayer Posted February 22, 2006 Report Posted February 22, 2006 Well... I guess Canada has to be good at something
naiwf Posted February 22, 2006 Report Posted February 22, 2006 This Olympiad has been redeemed with four simple words, NO MEDAL FOR CANADA! Sweet.
Kahran Ramsus Posted February 22, 2006 Report Posted February 22, 2006 I'm glad Russia won. Canada didn't deserve to win. Maybe next time Gretzky will actually be smart enough to pick some young, fast forwards instead of his geezer buddies.
