MarvinisaLunatic Posted February 19, 2006 Report Posted February 19, 2006 Nate Robertson filling the role of "Which one of these things doesn't belong" in the Dunk contest...
The Electrifyer Posted February 19, 2006 Report Posted February 19, 2006 For a second there I thought this was going to turn into an episode of Canadian Idol with Nash singing.. Pretty close with Walter McCarty singing. I'm pretty shocked he can sing good though... I wonder what Simon Cowell thinks.
The Electrifyer Posted February 19, 2006 Report Posted February 19, 2006 He should get some Tommy Points for that performance!
MarvinisaLunatic Posted February 19, 2006 Report Posted February 19, 2006 "the building is starting to get packed" meanwhile, directly behind them, tons of empty seats.. I dont see anyone beating :25.1
MarvinisaLunatic Posted February 19, 2006 Report Posted February 19, 2006 Damn even Nash had problems hitting that shot. The camera angle was cool though because you could tell whether it was gonna go or not the second it left their hands.
The Electrifyer Posted February 19, 2006 Report Posted February 19, 2006 How did Nash ever do the skills challenge in 25 secs again? Wade hit everything on the 1st try and still was in the 30s.
The Electrifyer Posted February 19, 2006 Report Posted February 19, 2006 Those are the two choices for the greatest dunk ever? Was this some tourney thing that I missed cuz I would be voting for Jason Richardon's off the back board through the legs dunk.
MarvinisaLunatic Posted February 19, 2006 Report Posted February 19, 2006 Dirk is gonna win the 3 point contest.
MarvinisaLunatic Posted February 19, 2006 Report Posted February 19, 2006 With Dirk its litterally raining 3's when he shoots them as high as his shot gets. AND DIRK WINS! Although that was a pretty bad showing from them all.
The Electrifyer Posted February 19, 2006 Report Posted February 19, 2006 Sweet.... Jordan's dunk killed Vince's. But I still say J-Rich's was the best ever.
The Electrifyer Posted February 19, 2006 Report Posted February 19, 2006 WOW. That's creative and nice. Iguodala wins this.
naiwf Posted February 19, 2006 Report Posted February 19, 2006 Iguodala just clinched the best dunk in the dunk contest ever. That was sick.
The Electrifyer Posted February 19, 2006 Report Posted February 19, 2006 Ok... Nate Robinson over Spud Webb was insane. Give them both the award.
Precious Roy Posted February 19, 2006 Report Posted February 19, 2006 DUDE JUST JUMPED OVER SPUD WEBB!!!!!!! HAHHAHAHHAHHAHAHHA
Fökai Posted February 19, 2006 Report Posted February 19, 2006 He tucked his leg on Spud's shoulder when dunking, too. That was perfect.
Precious Roy Posted February 19, 2006 Report Posted February 19, 2006 IT'S A DUNK OFF!!!! CALL DAVID BOWIE!
Fökai Posted February 19, 2006 Report Posted February 19, 2006 DUNK-OFF, MOTHERFUCKER. I don't care if that was rigged or not.
Precious Roy Posted February 19, 2006 Report Posted February 19, 2006 I love Nate...but I think they rigged this shit
The Electrifyer Posted February 19, 2006 Report Posted February 19, 2006 They should have rigged it again for a second dunk off!
the pinjockey Posted February 19, 2006 Report Posted February 19, 2006 If I would have known it was going to be like this, I could have just turned out after the AI backboard dunk. And can we please go back to the rule where you only get "X" amount of opportunities at the dunk. I'm sorry, no matter how much the announcers wanted to make me to believe it, watching Nate throw the ball for 5 minutes to end up with that is not exciting.
razazteca Posted February 19, 2006 Report Posted February 19, 2006 IT'S A DUNK OFF!!!! CALL DAVID BOWIE! relax
Guest Posted February 19, 2006 Report Posted February 19, 2006 I guess the Knicks have to win something, considering that they won't for 10 more years. Total crock of shit and a waste of my time.
bobobrazil1984 Posted February 19, 2006 Report Posted February 19, 2006 Iggy's dunk-off follow-up dunk though was the same dunk he did right after Nate's Spud Webb dunk, wasn't it? Tuck through the leg? It wasn't enough i think because we see the between the leg all the time, he shoulda bounced it or something.
Brett Favre Posted February 19, 2006 Report Posted February 19, 2006 Total crock of shit and a waste of my time. Someone's angry. Nate should have won after the Spud dunk. AI2 tried the same shit twice. Nate had more originality. And Moses Malone sucks ass.
The Electrifyer Posted February 19, 2006 Report Posted February 19, 2006 Andre's behind the backboard dunk was one of the sickest things I've ever seen but his last two were just too weak to win it. I mean, if Nate is 5'9 and can do a regular through the legs dunk, then Iggy's gotta bring more than a reverse through the legs dunk. As for all those failed attempts.... ummm... just ignore them from your memory like I did.

Yeah, Iguodala wasn't doing anything special down the stretch, he burned his best dunk early. The left handed behind the back was nice, but then he kept going for behind the back or through the leg dunks that have already been seen a bunch of times. It sucked that it took Nate so many chances on his through the legs-->off the backboard, but the one he actually hit with the figure 8-->pass was nice. They really need to do something about the attempts rule though. When did it go from like 1 missed attempt to unlimited? Put it at like 3 or 5 or something. Robinson's final dunks were better IMO, but the real question is: AI-->AI backboard pass v. Nate over Spud?
