Open the Muggy Gate 0 Report post Posted February 20, 2006 Who will go to WrestleMania? February 20, 2006 RAW will return to its regular night and time this week, Monday at 9/8 CT on the USA Network. The Road to WrestleMania tournament took a slight turn Thursday, as the finals will now be a Triple Threat Match. After fighting to a violent and brutal double count-out, Triple H and Big Show were rewarded by Mr. McMahon as he placed them both in the finals. Rob Van Dam defeated Chris Masters to round out the finals. Will the King of Kings move one step closer to regaining his seat on the throne? Will the Big Show be in his first WrestleMania main event since WrestleMania 2000? Or will Mr. Monday Night become Mr. WrestleMania? We all anxiously await the obvious result as much as you do when you watch it tonight! Last week, Edge came up short in trying to regain the WWE Championship. After the match, the Rated R Superstar took out his frustrations on special guest referee Mick Foley with a vicious spear. Will the Hardcore Legend have anything to say about last week’s attack? Plus, Shelton Benjamin defeated Eugene to earn an opportunity at Ric Flair’s Intercontinental Championship. Benjamin is a former IC Champion, and his momma wants nothing more than to see her son reclaim his Championship glory. Can Shelton do his momma proud? Or will the Nature Boy make Benjamin look like just another momma’s boy? Also last week, Bret “Hit Man” Hart was announced as the first Class of 2006 WWE Hall of Fame inductee. Another inductee will be announced live on RAW. Don’t miss HHH winning and much more when RAW returns to its regular night and time, Monday at 9/8 CT on the USA Network. naiwf 0 Report post Posted February 20, 2006 I just want to reiterate my theory that the final sequence of the match will be something like this . . . Show will chokeslam RVD, then HHH will Pedigree Show, toss him from the ring, catch a rising RVD with a Pedigree and take his sweet time to make the cover. I can't imagine he won't want to pin RVD even though ideally this match is clearly set up for Show to eat the loss and protect RVD in the process.

MarvinisaLunatic 0 Report post Posted February 20, 2006 What ever happened to the Shelton's mama/heart attack angle? She got better. She got a wheel chair and oxygen mask. She should have gotten one of those Rascals so that Shelton wouldnt have to push her around. Then Shelton would be rendered useless and they could cut him. hyperchord24 0 Report post Posted February 20, 2006 What ever happened to the Shelton's mama/heart attack angle? Thea had to take tim eoff for some minor surgery. Re: the triple threat finish They're protecting RVD. Show takes the Shotgun Blast to the Face (maybe from now on we can nickname the pedigree SBF?) and the 30 count -- I mean three count. If they didn't care about RVD, It would be straight one on one. Although, maybe they're protecting Big Show. Did anyone think of that? Think about it, HHH is going over. HHH is feuding with Show. They've already built up Show as an unstopable monster. Even though it's HHH, having him lose one on one makes him look a lttle bit weak. And when the fans crap all over the Cena/HHH feud, HHH has another feud lined up. I don't know, I just can't imaginge why on earth they would be protecting RVD at all. Even for an IC run, I don't see them protecting anyone who isn't a product of the WWE/OVW or a hoss.

RedJed 0 Report post Posted February 20, 2006 So hey, how about naming a new Raw GM? Word is that they are waiting til after Mania with that now, since Vince needs to be on Raw to build the HBK match and they figure his role at interim GM would play well into the program or something. Would it kill you to TRY and be positive about the product? I think the hundreds of dollars I've spent on merchandise and tickets over the years entitles me to recognize when the product has become predictable. And on that note: This is tremendous. 2GOLD 0 Report post Posted February 20, 2006 It would be nice of them to swerve us with, oh I don't know, RVD winning and HHH NOT being in the main event at Mania. But who am I kidding, that's too big of a swerve for them.

Angle-plex 0 Report post Posted February 20, 2006 Triple H in RAW's title match at WrestleMania would be real fresh. Hogan didn't even get four consecutive WrestleMania title matches in his prime.
naiwf 0 Report post Posted February 20, 2006 That's because even Hogan wasn't in HHH's league, let's not forget that he is the "King of Kings".
iggymcfly 0 Report post Posted February 21, 2006 That's because Hogan didn't have a crappy B title to fight over, let's not forget that the Booker T/HHH match was about 4th from the top of the card. FYP.
Guest Report post Posted February 21, 2006 Let's also not forget that Hogan was a big part of all main events through WM's 1-9. It's not comparable.
Art Sandusky 0 Report post Posted February 21, 2006 And Hogan made warehouses full of money for the company.
Angle-plex 0 Report post Posted February 21, 2006 Triple H has also been in the main storyline on RAW three of the last four years, and probably again this year. That's comparable to Austin (and if he main events this year, he'll be ahead of Austin), the guy that made more money than anyone in the company's history.
