Based on their singles, I liked Kat's better. They sounded the same, but Kat's touched me more. Could just be because I have estrogen.

This is the niche market I was refering to.

Coffey apparently doesn't keep in touch with modern pop culture. Katharine wouldn't be on MTV.

Why's that? All the rest of them have been on there. Even the country chick.

The worst part about it all is that Taylor and Kat neither one really deserve to win this thing. Taylor is a great show act but how good would he move CD's when there's no show? Kat doesn't really have the vocals...but she'd make good MTV type shit.

Chris probably should've won.

Taylor's album will sell well over 2 million, guaranteed. Let's not forget, Taylor has by far, the biggest following of all the contestants. I agree that he's move of a novelty act, though... and will be forgotten once next season comes... while Chris has more of a shot of making his own career, like Kelly.

Taylor deserves to win, because he has the bigger fan base.

Why is it that when I say that weeks ago, it goes un-noticed but now everyone else is following it.

I also said that weeks ago. :P

Chris is already the new lead singer of Fuel.

EDIT: Anyone remember the name of the green-eyed twin sisters? One of them tried out...

They were on there because of the show, I was assuming you meant Katharine was an MTV personality, which she isn't. Kelly is because she completely distanced from it. Carrie has completely wrapped herself into the country world. After the inital popularity veers off for Katharine/Taylor, they will end up in the role of Ruben/Fantasia/Clay and that is playing to a very niche market.

Carrie/Kelly, remained steady. Katharine doesn't have the pop sensibility of Kelly/Carrie, nor does she have a personality to move her along. Katharine is better to lose, maybe record a hit single just to capitalize on the show and then fall out and land some acting gigs (which was her intent anyways).

I thought Katherine's single was god awful. Taylor's was pretty bad too, but he sang it way better.

I think it was pretty unfair to give them these crappy untested singles as their last songs. Especially considering the fact that they obviously weren't written with the current two contestants in mind. They probably wrote a couple tracks for women and a couple for men weeks or months ago without knowing who would be singing them. Plus these modern pop scholk songs that they got are totally meant to sound good in the studio with multiple takes, effects, and post editing. Katherine totally got owned by that fact for a lot of her song.

I thought it was terrible last night. Reperforming two songs (including the one Kat did the week before) was completely anticlimatic. Also, even the judges basically said that the original songs sucked ass. I think Paula's quote was along the lines of "this wasn't your fault, the song was bad, you are good". WTF? Why wouldn't they give them some good songs to sing. And why does every word from every Idol song have to rhyme. It's like they're written by 16 year olds.

Overall, I thought that Taylor did better with what it was last night. His song was made slightly enjoyable by his performance. Kat sucked the life out of an already terrible song.

It's pretty much a formality... but, Dial Idol is showing that Taylor has a 5-to-1 busy ratio, compared to Kat's 2-to-1 busy ratio... so, Squashville, it is.

Based on last nights show (which was pretty anti-climatic for the final and probably the worst of all 5 seasons) Id say Taylor deserves to win and I belive he will win considering I couldnt get through to vote fo rhim but Kats was far less busy.

I agree on you guys' comments. Taylor is not the typical Idol and will likely be forgotten after the show ends.

Kat seems to be really great at times and downright average other times. that single for her was both a horribly cheesy song and she sung it badly. Taylor did a much better job with his, even though it wasnt neccesarily his style of song.

Heres to waiting thru two hours of hype and crap (and the return of the scarecrow himself, Clay Aiken)

Either way I dont mind too much.

But since Taylor kinda resembles my cousins husband, Ill pick him :D

Kellie in a (behind the scenes of) Lil Jon video would be a better fish out of water spot.

"Golly, that sure is a lot of diamonds in your mouth"

"That's my grill"

"Like a barbeque grill?"

"Yeah"

"Yeah?"

"YA-UH!"

"Well, okay!"

"OH KAY!"

"Wut?"

"WHA-UT?!"

Ok, can we get a new crowd movement other than waving hands (in the air (like they just don't care)).

Aside from the McPheatloaf Incident (btw, I am copywriting "The Meatloaf Incident" and will use it as my Meatloaf coverband name, so nyah), the music stuff tonight has been very enjoyable. The guys doin their thang was well done and they sounded good as a group.

Carrie sings the most boring songs ever. I guess most of country music is like that, though.

Clay looks worse than the geeky kid.
