Guest Princess Leena Posted February 26, 2006 Report Posted February 26, 2006 It always saddens me looking at these pics of Tammy. Good fucking lord, was she beautiful back then.
Angle-plex Posted February 26, 2006 Report Posted February 26, 2006 Tammy hit the wall, backed up, and ran into it again in 99-00.
Hawk 34 Posted February 26, 2006 Report Posted February 26, 2006 She wasn't too bad in her brief WCW stint in 99/00, but yeah, she was really something great @ her peak.
Guest wildpegasus Posted February 26, 2006 Report Posted February 26, 2006 Did RF Video conduct this shoot? I despise those guys more than almost anything. I love Sunny. I have fond memories of staying up in the wee mornings to watch Raw/American Gladiators (Wesley 2 Scoops owns you) and passing time by masturbating (she possibly could've been my first but I'm not too sure) to the famous Sunny video. I was so obsessed I bought the Raw magazine with her photo shoot and stare at it for hours, would take a stick and enscribe her name in dirt roads, get in arguements with my friends on wether she was hotter than Sable, dream of licking honey of Sunny/getting distracted by her in a match just like the Godwins did and sing that Sunny song that went along with her video all day long. Ahh, the memories. I'm gonna shed a tear here over this notsgolia. Looking back now I can understand what was so sexy about the pool stick. When I was watching I kind of thought of it was sexy but to myself I just thought it was more Sunny and it didn't really have anything to do with the pool stick. Now that I'm older I understand what it really meant. Cool looking back at stuff and discovering something new about something "old". Her "Some viewers may find some of the following scenes too hot to handle" warning on the beach before Raw started is one of the hottest things ever. My tape is broken down at that spot from rewinding it over and over again. I can't believe I found this pic!!!!! This is during the Taka Michinoku vs Tajiri Monday Night Raw bout. It brings back memories because I had set two VCRs up while hitting the pause button on one and recording on the other so I could have a super shot of Sunny on Video without worrying about hitting the rewind button all the time. Sweet! Extreamly hot picture The aforementioned beach pic!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And yes I'm saying it again. I despise RF Video more than anything. RF VIDEO SUCKS!!!!!!!!!
justcoz Posted February 26, 2006 Report Posted February 26, 2006 It would be nice if Vince McMahon tried to help Tammy out. I say sign her up to do a WWE book release where she exposes some dirt on her WWF days and her struggles afterwards. Maybe even do a DVD since they own much of Candido's career footage and they could focus on the whole Sunny story and how over she was and what went wrong. I think a book or DVD regarding her and Chris Candido's life would be pretty damn interesting. They could bring her in to promote the book as the anti-Diva. Just like the former child stars out there that speak against that practice. Sunny could come out, looking just as she does now, and verbally abuse either the Divas or the girls in the Diva Search competition. If creative would give her free reign, I'm sure she'd know exactly what type of promo to cut. Knowing WWE however she'd probably come out just to be insulted by Simon Dean and for Lawler to make fat ass wannabe jokes. And who knows, maybe Tammy could be groomed for a creative type role? She's been in the business long enough, what's the harm in trying to save someone from self destructing?
SuperJerk Posted February 26, 2006 Report Posted February 26, 2006 I was kind of thinking the same thing, except my idea included getting in rehab and 3 months with a personal trainer.
USC Wuz Robbed! Posted February 26, 2006 Report Posted February 26, 2006 And who knows, maybe Tammy could be groomed for a creative type role? She's been in the business long enough, what's the harm in trying to save someone from self destructing? Lex Luger's been in the business for a long time. I wouldn't want him in a creative role.

Downhome Posted February 27, 2006 Report Posted February 27, 2006 Anyone else remeber this issue of RAW magazine? I also remember one where it focused on a secret relationship between her and Brian Pillman.
Cheex Incarnate Posted February 27, 2006 Report Posted February 27, 2006 I love how any thread about Tammy Sytch invariably morphs into a nostalgia thread about how hot she used to be. Excellent pics, everybody. -cheex

buffybeast Posted February 27, 2006 Report Posted February 27, 2006 I never understood what everyone saw in Sunny. She always looked like cleaned up white trash to me. Why should Vince feel obligated to help her out? She's gotten herself into this predicament. Besides, she'd just snort up whatever money Vince gave her.
Lt. Al Giardello Posted February 27, 2006 Report Posted February 27, 2006 Anyone have any recent photos of her?

Yeah, I get your point but I think Tammy genuinely loves (or at least loved) the business and had a mind for it. Jim Cornette always spoke of her having input in a lot of her Smokey Mountain angles. I'm not saying she'd be an instantaneous creative genius or anything but you know, why not a chance?

Then let her work with Heyman but just because she's a washed up drug addict who helped run a wrestling promotion 12 years ago doesn't mean she is deserving of a job of value. She has a reputation for being a drug addicted floozy for a reason...
Downhome Posted February 27, 2006 Report Posted February 27, 2006 She did an indie show a week or so ago, and was reported to have been drunk/high out of her mind, and had to be helped to the back after not being able to do the ring announcing, or whatever she was there to do.

Why should Vince feel obligated to help her out? She's gotten herself into this predicament. Besides, she'd just snort up whatever money Vince gave her. Not sure about the white trash thing but I think many felt Sunny was so hot because she was similar to a hot girl at the bar or a hot neighbor. Not a fake (although I'm sure she had implants) unattainable fantasy hotness like a Candice Michelle or other Divas that look like they came straight from Hef's mansion. It was a more ordinary girl hotness so I get where you are coming from. And Vince isn't obligated to do anything. But he does have a history of reaching out to former employees with troubles or hardships, he's helped people like Ric Flair, Jake Roberts, Jimmy Snuka and brought in Tony Atlas as Saba Simba after hearing word that they had addiction or money problems. Sunny was a big reason for WWF's turn around in the ratings war. She was their most popular figure for a few months even, especially when it comes to net fans. She's pretty much responsible for the whole 'diva' thing that has made Vince so much money (although some would say Sable since she was on top of their most successful run).

If 96 Sunny could (and we're not even talking about looks here) magically be inserted into the WWE today she'd instantly outshine a lot of the roster today. We as fans don't really know but Sunny always came off as smart to me and I wouldn't doubt for a second that she could bring positive mental assests to the creative department.
Hawk 34 Posted February 27, 2006 Report Posted February 27, 2006 I can't figure out who fell harder, Tammy(top dive to THAT) or Billy Gunn (WWE's biggest hard-on to working in a promotion that uses Tammy).

Hunter's Torn Quad Posted February 27, 2006 Report Posted February 27, 2006 Sunny should never return to WWE for the same reason Scott Hall should never return. They both have demons they're trying to fight, and it'll be impossible to do so in WWE, where the pressure is so much more than on the Indy scene.

She has a reputation for being a drug addicted floozy for a reason... OK, let her work with Heyman in OVW. Christ, I don't care. It was just an idea. Throw the girl a bone (haha pun), she's been through a lot, especially with Candido passing away. She's working county fairs and high schools when I'm sure she has something more to offer the business in some role or capacity. I don't think OVW is the place to force change on someone with addiction issues but maybe the opportunity to work for the biggest company in the business again just may be and Heyman could help her with a character to bring to the big show again. At least bring her in for the ECW PPV.
Downhome Posted February 27, 2006 Report Posted February 27, 2006 I was all for her coming in back when Simon Dean first debuted. Her gimmick could have been her actually getting back into shape over time, with Simon Dean's help. It could have been so horrible that it could have been fantastic.
RedJed Posted February 27, 2006 Report Posted February 27, 2006 To add to other recent Tammy stories, she was on the Women's Extreme Wrestling show not too long ago and most definately was fucked up on something. She had to be carried in and out of the ring by Nick Berg or Berk, whatever his name is (worked for CZW) and was really looking worse for wear. They had her trying to cut a promo and obviously something was up since just as she started talking it went to commercial and when they came back the match was happening and Tammy was on the outside. I was amazed the company actually aired this material since it was so blatantly making Tammy look bad, but maybe thats the point. Seems to be that alot of people in the business have tried to reach out to her by publicly showcasing her demons, and yet she still can't get past them.

Ok, I can understand the 'round the way girl aspect of her appeal. I would stop short, however, of giving her credit for the advent of the divas. I think more of the credit would fall to Sable. But Sunny was a definite contributor. She probably needs to stay far away from the business until she beats her addictions.
