Bob Backlund wandering around universal studios. and his response

Is there any point to this?

Actually, is there any point to Bob Backlund being in TNA?

I know he gets a lot of love on the board, and I like the guy too, but he's not doing anything. He just wanders around backstage, cuts rambling promos and put awful looking chickenwings on Austin Starr. What's the point?

You plebian! It's obvious he's incredibly desperate for work!

Yeah, I don't really get the point of Bob Backlund after WrestleMania XI. I love the guy but he's really just been a rambling, old guy that wasn't there for anything more than comic relief for the past 10-11 years.

I know this isn't really a request thread, but I've been looking for the infamous Big Show's Dad's funeral crashed by the Boss Man in it's entirety ... so if anyone could find it anywhere or upload it ... rock 'n roll.

Or just find the most brutal match you can for me.

A video that makes me quite sad: Jung Dragons vs. Air Raid from the last Thunder. WCW had been, well, *good* in its last month. That was such a surreal era for me as a wrestling fan. I was hoping WCW would bounce back as its "own" promotion despite the buyout. So many expectations, so much letdown.

I agree. I thought in the last couple of months of WCW's existence that the product had begun to rebound and improve. It was weird to hear them refer to the Thunder and Nitro season finales when it ended up being the series finales for the shows.

Also, it is strange to look at that tape and realize that with everyone Styles has pinned with the Syles clash, Kaz Hyashi is not one of them.

Yay, I have been begging for Bulldog/Owen forever on here (either a tape of it or a link). I actually was flooded out when that match originally aired and had never seen it all the way through until just now....10 years later almost to the day. All I had seen was a clipped version on Superstars or Shotgun, whatever the Saturday morning show was at that point.

Oh man, the Savage/Perfect/Flair/Ramon match brought back a lot of memories. Flair used to cut such great promos, it's so sad what a joke he is on Raw now.

I also forgot how insanely great the Brain was. His grovelling after slapping Perfect, flipping out on commentary. He always added a lot to every broadcast.

Actually AJ got the duke on Kaz with the Clash at Final Battle 03.

More Macho Man goodness...

Randy Savage vs. Junkyard Dog, Wrestling Classic final, 1985 (Jesse's commentary is edited out, per the lawsuit -- really ruins the match some for me):

Part 1

Part 2

It's too bad this wasn't Savage's semifinal match vs. the Dynamite Kid. From everything I've heard, if it was longer, it could have been match of the year for 1985.

I remember watching this match thinking DBS would walk all over HBK. Even my older sister who would parade around the house yelling "wrestling's fake!" was even stunned. Damn youth.

(also you have the links backwards :) )
