I really don't understand this. He's supposedly gone through most of his money, he's interested in wrestling in Japan, and you'd think he'd love to be back in his old contract right now.

The WWE meanwhile is as desperate for star power as they've been in the last decade, and Lesnar is basically the biggest star in the business (other than the Rock who's never coming back to wrestling.) You'd think that Vince would just put out the cash and make the damn deal get done.

I really can't think of one logical reason that Brock's not on the Wrestlemania card this year. You could take about eight different wrestlers, put any one of them up against Brock and have a better main event than HHH/Cena.

Brock likes working to the best of his potential, he doesn't want to put up with Vince McMahon's childish ego and he likes the lighter schedule.

He has made a pretty good amount of money working as the star attraction and champion in New Japan...

In fact, what logical reason is there for Brock to come back to WWE?

WWE needs Brock, Brock doesn't need WWE. WWE wouldn't be capable of holding back revenge booking and finding opportunity to ruin Lesnar.

Interested in wrestling in Japan? Dude, he's New Japan's heavyweight champion right now. He barely has to work any dates and he's making quite a nice amount of coin on top of that. Gee, I wonder why he wouldn't want to go back to Vince & Co.???

Oh, I didn't know it had gone that far. All I ever read is how Vince and New Japan are going to have a lawsuit. I thought he'd just showed up for a show or two, and they were holding off on anything else until they worked things out with the WWE.

What kind of money is Brock making over there? Is it comparable to what he was getting when he was WWE champion?

I don't understand how Brock went through most of his WWE money. He made millions, where did it go?

Celebs/athletes making millions and just blowing it, is fairly common. Having your own jet airplane? that costs some money. Besides, Brock wasn't exactly raking in the money like ESPN and other networks tried to protray him to be. He was making a good income but he wasn't making as much as they implied.

Brock makes good money in Japan. It's probably not as much as he would in WWE, but when you factor in the fact Brock doesn't have to travel as much and doesn't have to foot a lot of bills (he's being treated like a huge star by Inoki and NJ), he makes more of a profit with NJ than he would with WWE. Really, there is more to professional wrestling than what you see on USA on Mondays or UPN on Fridays (Thursdays for the Canucks here).

You have to factor in Rena Mero, too...my understanding is they're back together and get to travel together in Japan, which WWE might not necessarily allow if Brock were to come back (unless they made Sable and on-screen character again).

Basically like others said, WWE needs Brock more than he needs them, at this point.

I thought Brock had a multi-million dollar contract.

He's just a damn fool for spending all of his damn money.

Which he didn't want to do. When he asked WWE for the plane, he expected them to pay for everything. He was in for a surprise.

He should've figured that one out. If they aren't paying for your hotel and rental cars, they sure as hell aren't going to foot the bill for your own personal jet, no matter how up the card you are.

Brock is the perfect example of a person who wasn't ready for celebrity at all. Like a rapper who gets one hit, makes a few million, spends it all on stupid shit and then is shocked to discover he's broke.

Agreed with both 2Gold and Dangerous A. Brock is an idiot, quite frankly, but at least he is rebuilding his fortunes and he's being treated like a king in Japan, so no he won't come back to WWE. Never say never though.

Brock is the Stan Hansen of the 21st Century, eh?

Not exactly. Stan Hansen was actually a draw and is now considered a legend in Japan. I can't say the same thing about Lesnar if and when his career with New Japan is through.

Although Brock Lesnar is on top in New Japan right now, business is in the toilet, although it wouldn't matter who was put on top. Things in New Japan are so bad, you could literally take anyone from the pro wrestling world outside Japan and put them on top and it would mean jack shit. New Japan is way more fucked up right now than WWE in terms of business. Lesnar just happens to get a way more favorable schedule and decent payday out of it. The schedule was actually one of Brock's primary hangups with WWE.

Brock has a daughter. I am sure some money went to her.

Doesn't he have an ex wife as well? If he does, that eats a damn good amount of the money up.

I don't think he ever married his baby's mama. He planned to but work and Rena got in the way.

I heard Brock's going around calling Rena, "Mrs. Lesnar". Did they get married?

Yes, they got married a few months ago.

And I can't imagine the pay in New Japan is as good as some of the people in this thread are implying. I recently remember hearing that New Japan's business is in the toilet right now and could be compared to WCW 2000.

Another about Brock Lesnar and New Japan is this. I know people like Meltzer have speculated that New Japan may not be able to afford Lesnar in the long run.

Why hasn't Brock Lesnar come back yet?

IIRC He either wants a bigger pay or the same pay he was receiving before he left and doesn't want to work a full-time schedule like everybody else (excluding HBK and Taker of course).
