Tna should stop signing main event calibur talent and start making main event calibur talent

Dobbs 3K 0 Report post Posted March 2, 2006 Well, I could be wrong, but Scott Steiner at least showed in WWE he was willing to put a few people over (if losing to Triple H counts as putting someone over). But, if he can't work, he's useless. Hell, if he only works as well as he did in WWE, he's useless.
Dangerous A 0 Report post Posted March 2, 2006 I'd be more concerned with his unprofessional behavior. The guy is a loose cannon. Throw in that he isn't much of a worker any more and I don't see why he should be there. About signing Jericho, that's only going to happen if and when Jericho wants to get back into wrestling and I'm banking he'll be playing WWE against TNA for the most money. From all reports recently, he has no desire to come back now and is perfectly content not doing wrestling.
Eclipse 0 Report post Posted March 2, 2006 He DEFINITELY cannot be under the same condition that he was in his last WWE run. It would be a waste of money...
Guest El Satanico Report post Posted March 2, 2006 If Jericho was an option, they would sign him. It's not like TNA is avoiding him.

MillenniumMan831 0 Report post Posted March 2, 2006 If Spike TV is willing to absorb most of that contract, it's worth a shot.
Guest El Satanico Report post Posted March 2, 2006 According to many, Sting brought nothing to the table, and that has worked out well. I'm not thrilled by the news, but it could work out if he's healthy and motivated.
Guest jlvideo Report post Posted March 2, 2006 If Scott is healthy enough with his foot problems and puts his attitude aside with Jarrett it would be okay. But he has to be a team player and help the younger talent to get through. I don't mind TNA having veterans in as long they come in to help and give guys a break. I think that's why DDP,Nash are not around. I believe Nash is still with the company as his picture still remains on their website. I still wish TNA could get Jericho though and feud with Christian. I know Jericho isn't hurting for money. I don't think needs alot of WWE or WCW formers to join. They need to bring in younger guys that have some name value that fans are aware of,like ROH guys and i would hope bring in guys from CMLL,Japan.
Guest wolverine1007 Report post Posted March 2, 2006 I don't know if this is a good idea, myself, because I think that Scott Steiner might be a little too old and too uncompromising to be effective in TNA, as well as not really being the type of main eventer that TNA would need. Guest Coffey Report post Posted March 3, 2006 He brings name value to the table, which was the point of the signing. Also, if he's not given a script to read from, his interviews are always entertaining. TNA will protect him unlike WWE too. I doubt you'll see too many twenty-five minute main event matches from Steiner in TNA, like WWE tried to get out of him when he still had drop foot and ring rust. He'll move some merchandise, hopefully get some people talking and possibly bring back some old WCW viewers, just like Sting. Steiner does have a fanbase and I'm sure TNA won't overlook all he did as a tag team wrestler like WWE did. He has credentials and a history in this business. He's a big name. RedJed 0 Report post Posted March 3, 2006 Eh just another example why TNA falls into the trap at times of being associated with the dying days of WCW - and this is unfortunately to me kind of a "case in point", its pretty sad they waited this long to sign Steiner. Comes across desperate and also pointless to me. They'd be better off just bringing Nash back in.
Bruce Blank 0 Report post Posted March 3, 2006 According to many, Sting brought nothing to the table, and that has worked out well.Give me your definitly of "working well" Steiner? his WWE run hurt him alot, he still had some "bad ass'ness" and all from his WCW run but it was just blown away in the WWE. TNA could make good use of him if he's in better health and willing to work with them I just hope they didn't shell out too much cash for him

The old WCW viewers don't watch a lot of wrestling any more. Has TNA been able to sustain the viewership they during Sting's debut? Honestly, Steiner is a roided up has been. He is not a good worker and can offer nothing to TNA during the long run.
Adam 0 Report post Posted March 3, 2006 I hate it when people only capitalize the first letter in an acronym. ^^ Anyway, Steiner's one of those guys that has a problem with jobbing, so I don't like the idea of TNA bringing him in unless its to work with Jarrett or Sting. Hell, bring back Nash and DDP, hire Goldberg and have the 'WCW 2001 Main Eventers' Championship. At least it'd keep them away from the NWA Title.
bob_barron 0 Report post Posted March 3, 2006 Bring in Steiner, have him crush some low carders for a bit to look badass and then feed him to Joe, Monty or Christian and then cut him loose.
Dobbs 3K 0 Report post Posted March 4, 2006 They need to bring in younger guys that have some name value that fans are aware of,like ROH guys and i would hope bring in guys from CMLL,Japan. How many fans are that familiar with Ring of Honor? Also, doesn't TNA already have half the ROH roster under contract (Joe, Styles, Lethal, Aries, Strong, etc...) I'm OK with Steiner coming in as long as he can work decently and is willing to job once in a while. If both those criteria are met, than this could end up being a good signing for TNA. Steiner is one of those people that can get the attention of the casual fans, especially if he does one of his "shoot" interviews where he rips on everyone. TNA ultimately has to build up the guys they already have if they want to succeed, though.
