LaParkaYourCar Posted March 6, 2006 Report Posted March 6, 2006 For a second there Stewart made me think I was watching The Daily Show with his "Welcome back to the show everybody" line.
Guest Vitamin X Posted March 6, 2006 Report Posted March 6, 2006 Althought i want Brokeback Mountain to take the big one, I think the Academy is gonna swerve us this year and give it to Crash. I feel the exact same way, except just switch the movies. And that Brokeback won't be much of a swerve.
LaParkaYourCar Posted March 6, 2006 Report Posted March 6, 2006 Wait....4th graders were doing "Walk the Line"???
Anakin Flair Posted March 6, 2006 Report Posted March 6, 2006 Phoenix is either happy for Reese or seething that he didn't win.
Hawk 34 Posted March 6, 2006 Author Report Posted March 6, 2006 Man, I can't look at Joaquin and NOT think that it's Johnny Cash. I don't get that sentiment with Foxx as Charles. and people, Joaquin always looks pissed.
The Ghost of bps21 Posted March 6, 2006 Report Posted March 6, 2006 Wait....4th graders were doing "Walk the Line"??? Some 4th graders do thanksgiving... Tennessee 4th graders do the Carter family... The ones that make it to 4th grade anyway...
bobobrazil1984 Posted March 6, 2006 Report Posted March 6, 2006 oh but SHE gets to yak on however long she wants.
DrVenkman PhD Posted March 6, 2006 Report Posted March 6, 2006 CTV in Canada cut the announcer off after Reese finisher her speech. That was kind of odd. All I heard was something about Screenaplay then bam, car commercial.
Hawk 34 Posted March 6, 2006 Author Report Posted March 6, 2006 oh but SHE gets to yak on however long she wants. Hollywood loves its beautiful blonde starlets bawling. People don't want to listen to somebody who won for best makeup yak for 4 minutes, but they do with a popular actress.
Epic Reine Posted March 6, 2006 Report Posted March 6, 2006 Reese wins. Joaquin's gonna kill himself.
strummer Posted March 6, 2006 Report Posted March 6, 2006 I have to say that I've been very impressed with Stewart tonight. I had reservations and was pissed that Conan was jobbed again, but he has been very funny tonight. If he would only bring this energy to the DS every day instead of mailing it in, my opinion of him would increase ten fold.
LaParkaYourCar Posted March 6, 2006 Report Posted March 6, 2006 Yes because we all know kids love spam.

He gets 1/100th that crowd for the D.S. I'm not surprised by how good Stewart has been tonight.
The Ghost of bps21 Posted March 6, 2006 Report Posted March 6, 2006 Quick... The last year in which Dustin Hoffman was relevent...
The Mandarin Posted March 6, 2006 Report Posted March 6, 2006 Dustin Hoffman's chuckling and strange behaviour eerily reminds me of Ric Flair's 2004 and 2005 HOF speeches.
LaParkaYourCar Posted March 6, 2006 Report Posted March 6, 2006 Hey I liked Dustin in Meet the Fockers. Oh and Dustin better steer clear of Joaquin Phoenix after the show.
Hawk 34 Posted March 6, 2006 Author Report Posted March 6, 2006 Quick... The last year in which Dustin Hoffman was relevent... He was in a hit movie in 2004, actually. I think Hoffman was talking to Joaquin with that intro. Good call, on the Hoffman=Flair comment.
BlackFlagg Posted March 6, 2006 Report Posted March 6, 2006 show's almost over and no one's made a joke or said anything about Nicholson to give them a reason to put him on camera, that's an Oscar tradition
The Ghost of bps21 Posted March 6, 2006 Report Posted March 6, 2006 He can't get credit for a hit movie when it's a sequel to a hit movie...that he was just added into. That kind of thinking makes Chris O'Donnell relevent for Batman.
LaParkaYourCar Posted March 6, 2006 Report Posted March 6, 2006 They've shown Jack a couple of times tonight already.
strummer Posted March 6, 2006 Report Posted March 6, 2006 Holy Shit the brother on Judging Amy wrote Capote. Who knew
