I don't think it's quite made it's way out here in Miami, we stick mostly to, you know, taking shots and drinking heavily in a normal manner with the exception of kegstands.

franchise632 Posted March 10, 2006 Author Report Posted March 10, 2006 Thats pretty much the gist of it, you get a table about the size of you standard door, you place cups of beer, generally 6 starting in a pyramid style. The object is to get the ping pong ball into the other person or teams cup. You make it they drink. When one side has no more cups the other team wins. There are different spins and variations on things. You can pretty much make it up as you go along. You can add more cups and such.

Consuming massive amounts of beer probably isn't going to help the cause. What is this Beer Pong I keep hearing all the college douchebaggy types talk about? Yeah, it's tough to find someone who doesn't boast of their beer pong skills sooner or later. I love reading/hearing people discuss variations on the game (a lot of colleges have their own set of rules to the game), past matches, and their overall skills in the game as if the thing's a sport. It's blown up, though. A lot of clubs are actually having tournaments now.

Yea they are having beer pong nights at some of the different bars around by the college in Minneapolis. I just started playing a couple weeks ago. Never even heard of it til I started college in January.
