College Hoops: NCAA Tournament Rounds 1 and 2

No it's not the same. You're essentially cheering a blood rival, which means you're not a real fan of your team. Everyone who roots for the Big East is pissed at BC for leaving a conference that made them a national entity. It's NOT even close to being the same. Wait a minute, you're a sell out, and so is BC, so maybe on that level it is the same.

Winthrop should be up by double digits now with the chances they had... UT is so sloppy.

That pretty much sums it up.

Well I think you guys are wrong and I'm right. So we'll just agree to disagree b/c I don't feel like getting in another fight with the whole board.

If Tennessee loses, the entire Eastern side of Tennesee will cave in. You'll feel it too. Quite the disturbance in the force.

And Montana beating Nevada? Ok... WTF.

That's fine, this really isn't the place for that discussion anyway. Even if you are totally off base. :P

I really need Nevada to win, I have them in the elite 8.

For the record, I'm *loving* the on demand on Sportsline. Anyone know why they've decided to do this for free? Not that I'm complaining, it's just kinda shocking that they aren't charging for it.

Man, here is a tough one. I picked Winthrop in a couple of my brackets to beat Tennesse but the BIG money one, I selected Tennessee to go a little further. I usually cover all bases with various pools, so Im a lock to win something. Right now, I want Winthorp to win because I don't like Tennessee personally but I wouldn't be sad if Tennessee pulled it out.

I just need Marquette to work their way back in (as it is, it's a 4 pt game) and Nevada to march back as well. I got 4-0 (I'm securing Florida, as a win now) and I'm hoping to settle into a 8-0 groove to start the day. I can afford to lose Nevada, because in all brackets I had them out in second round anyways as well as Marquette.

Losing Tenn hurts in the big money pools. Winning the TSM brackets would be nice but I'd perfer real money.

They're hooking everyone this year so they'll all pay for it next year when they can't imagine following the tournament without it.

OK, I'm a tad cynical.

But realistic.

Eh, maybe, but the fact that the video feeds are at least 30 seconds behind the scores on the top of the TV screen makes it...less addicting.

Did Winthrop just decide to stop looking at the shot clock the last five minutes? That's three times now where they've been out near halfcourt with under five to shoot.

Honestly, they don't deserve this upset. They should be a up a dozen with how horribly Tennessee is playing.

Seems like no one wants to win the Winthrop/Tennessee game. Even if Winthrop pulls the "huge" upset, the sloppy play by both teams for the last 7 minutes has really taken the excitement out of it.

Actually, I think that is the reason. I believe we'll have to pay for it next year.
