Guest Dam(o)nYankees Posted March 16, 2006 Report Posted March 16, 2006 I heard Austin made 8 million all told in 98.
Cheech Tremendous Posted March 16, 2006 Report Posted March 16, 2006 - Rob Van Dam: $220,000 (Only received downside and royalties due to injury) - Torrie Wilson: $260,000 Anybody see a problem with this? Uh, not really. RVD didn't do anything last year and just made his downside. Torrie had all her merchandise sales.
2GOLD Posted March 16, 2006 Report Posted March 16, 2006 How many days a week does Jerry Lawler work? One? Two if there is a PPV. I'd imagine he still makes personal appearances for the company.
Guest nosneb Posted March 16, 2006 Report Posted March 16, 2006 Why is maria only making 41k? she's the best thing thats happened to raw since the war ended
reign Posted March 16, 2006 Report Posted March 16, 2006 Eddie Guerrero: $372,000- This is the most bullshit I've read in a long time...Eddie was the most over face world champ in a long time and i saw tons of his shirts in the crowd...hopefully his family is getting some of the merchandise from all the stuff being sold now.
Kahran Ramsus Posted March 16, 2006 Report Posted March 16, 2006 Surprised at how much Benoit gets. I actually thought it seemed low.
Hawk 34 Posted March 16, 2006 Report Posted March 16, 2006 Eddie Guerrero: $372,000- This is the most bullshit I've read in a long time...Eddie was the most over face world champ in a long time and i saw tons of his shirts in the crowd...hopefully his family is getting some of the merchandise from all the stuff being sold now. Keep in mind that all the radicalz took low salary costs to get to WWE. The reason that Eddie's base salary was so low was because he took that contract in 2000 (and I'm guessing his new contract in 2002 was probably about the same or even lower, given the circumstances). The bonuses probably brought that yearly salary up.
haws bah gawd Posted March 16, 2006 Report Posted March 16, 2006 I feel really bad for Trevor Murdoch. I'm not a big fan of his ring-work, but thats a shit salary for a pro wrestler. I have a friend who is a Coca-Cola stocker that made more than him last year.

My understanding of WWE contracts has always been: if x = downside guaranty and y = % cut of merchandise, house shows, etc. then the wrestler's salary is the higher of the two (x or y). The salary is not x + y. So it wouldn't matter that he took a low salary, his merchandise and place on the card should have him making a lot more.
Guest Dam(o)nYankees Posted March 16, 2006 Report Posted March 16, 2006 And it's all before taxes. And travel expenses for most of them
Hawk 34 Posted March 16, 2006 Report Posted March 16, 2006 You know, Benoit being a first class worker is sort of surprising considering the other first class roster.
Hunter's Torn Quad Posted March 16, 2006 Report Posted March 16, 2006 "I can't vouch for the list, but of the guys I know, the numbers all look accurate." From DM
Hawk 34 Posted March 16, 2006 Report Posted March 16, 2006 I'd rather see what Johnny Ace and the other road agents and office workers make.
Angle-plex Posted March 16, 2006 Report Posted March 16, 2006 Why is maria only making 41k? she's the best thing thats happened to raw since the war ended $42000 to be in a product placement for Bowflex? I'd take it.
Enigma Posted March 16, 2006 Author Report Posted March 16, 2006 To whoever asked about Bret Hart's WCW contract, Bret signed a 3-year, $7.5 million contract in October 1997 with WCW which paid him $2.5 million annually.
iliketurtles Posted March 16, 2006 Report Posted March 16, 2006 Gene Snitsky. Is making. THREE HUNDRED THOUSAND DOLLARS. WHAT THE FUCK
RedJed Posted March 16, 2006 Report Posted March 16, 2006 And it's all before taxes. And travel expenses for most of them That is insane to be making only 40k on the road full time with WWE and yet they have to pay for all their expenses. After taxes and road expenses, they'd be lucky to pull half of that as take home gross, I'd imagine.
The Niggardly King Posted March 16, 2006 Report Posted March 16, 2006 Can't they use the travel expenses as a write off?
CanadianChick Posted March 16, 2006 Report Posted March 16, 2006 Average Diva Salary (Ashley, Candace, Jillian Hall, Lillian, Lita, Maria, Melina, Mickie James, Stacy, Torrie, Victoria and Trish): $178,363.60 Average Cruiserweight Salary, including those who have wrestled in the division in the last 2 years (Psicosis, London, Nunzio, Kash, Helms, Funaki, Chavo and Rey): $196,000 I thought the Diva average would be higher than the Cruiser one. Fuck, does Lita make so much more money than she should, compared to the other girls. You can totally tell she was part of the boom.
Naked Snake Posted March 16, 2006 Report Posted March 16, 2006 Wow, Hogan was making over a million for each PPV in the WCW hot period. And I read he got over a million for WrestleMania V. He cried about his Mania XIX payoff tho
SuperJerk Posted March 16, 2006 Report Posted March 16, 2006 Can't they use the travel expenses as a write off? That's what I've always thought.
MrRant Posted March 16, 2006 Report Posted March 16, 2006 You may be able to write off most (or all) of you travel expenses but you still have to pay federal, state (possibly), SS and medicare taxes.
2GOLD Posted March 16, 2006 Report Posted March 16, 2006 And it's all before taxes. After taxes and road expenses, they'd be lucky to pull half of that as take home gross, I'd imagine. Well, most of the guys who have to pay travel expenses usually end up sharing them among two or three guys to keep the cost down. But in Murdoch's case, something tells me he is a really big fan of potted meat and Knights Inn.
The Amazing Rando Posted March 16, 2006 Report Posted March 16, 2006 Gene Snitsky. Is making. THREE HUNDRED THOUSAND DOLLARS. WHAT THE FUCK Hey now...it's not his fault.
EdwardKnoxII Posted March 16, 2006 Report Posted March 16, 2006 Gene Snitsky. Is making. THREE HUNDRED THOUSAND DOLLARS. WHAT THE FUCK IT WAS'T HIS FAULT Edit: Fuck Rando beat me.
Guest Dam(o)nYankees Posted March 16, 2006 Report Posted March 16, 2006 Gene Snitsky. Is making. THREE HUNDRED THOUSAND DOLLARS. WHAT THE FUCK Chris Masters is making a quarter mil. That annoys me more. Snitsky was over for a while.
what Posted March 16, 2006 Report Posted March 16, 2006 I feel really bad for Trevor Murdoch. I'm not a big fan of his ring-work, but thats a shit salary for a pro wrestler. I have a friend who is a Coca-Cola stocker that made more than him last year. $48 grand a year is good money. I don't know where the fuck you live.
