Dark Match:

Matt Hardy v. Vito. Winner-Hardy.

Smackdown:

The show opened with a Randy Orton promo about WrestleMania 22 and Smackdown.

There was a battle royal for the last spot in the Money in the Bank match with: MNM, Lashley, London, Kendrick, Jordan, Funaki, Scotty, Kash, Noble, Sylvan, Nunzio, Dean Gymini, Mexicools, Tatanka, Burchill, Road Warrior Animal. Animal was out first. Winner: Lashley

JBL did a promo about SNME, Benoit and other stuff.

The building is 90% full now and the crowd is still still hot.

Rey Mysterio vs. Fit Finlay saw Randy Orton run in and RKOs Rey while he was making a comeback. Finlay wins.

Next up was a contract signing for WM22: Booker v Boogeyman. Sharmell checks under table before sitting down. Teddy Long then makes it a handicap match, Boogeyman vs. Booker and Sharmell.

Chris Benoit v Regal was next. Benoit won with the Crossface. JBL throws a tantrum.

The Main event saw Mark Henry, (without Daivari) take on Kurt Angle. Randy Orton runs in during ankle lock. Rey runs in and accidentally hits Kurt. Henry gets the 3. I guess it wasn't for the title.

Post match there was a staredown. Kurt pushes down Rey and yells at Orton. Rey dropkicks Kurt, hits the 619. End of SD.

I'm really beginning to buy this theory that Orton can't catch a break with the bookers. Jesus people, you want him to be world champion. Play to his strengths (Which, admittedly, seems to only be looking pretty and being able to be carried by Benoit) He's not a good talker, and yet they have him talking almost every week. And I'm sure thry wonder why he's not over.

Plus, they bill him as the Legend Killer, but have the biggest legend on the roster bury him on a regular basis. They shouldn't have put Orton in the feud with Taker in the first place if they weren't going to have Orton go over.

I'm disapointed, really. They had an easy chance to go the dirty and cheap direction with Orton. Really sleaze him up and instead, they pulled back and made him even more generic then before.

Angle hasn't even been involved in this thing and Rey, isn't maintaining that babyface support as much as he was 6 weeks ago.

What are we up to? One super-show a month now?

They just had one about two weeks ago. When Orton hit Cena with the RKO on Raw. I don't like these supershows. The Raw crowd seems more dead then usual after SD tapes.

By the time HiaC came around, they had a bit of a catch 22. Orton had to win the match to not destroy him, but he was so heatless at that point and fans took him as such a joke that an Orton win would have hurt Taker.

That was a supershow too? Because Kiss My Ass was as well.

On a related note, I can't emphasize enough how much making Orton the centerpiece of this feud is hurting the match. If this was a year and a half ago when he was one of the hottest heels going, it would be smart. But Orton is the main, and truth be told only storyline of the match, and no one cares about him. Angle is an afterthought and Rey is Orton's impotent foil. And I haven't seen one person excited about this match.

Geesh, another contract signing, eh? What's next, a contract signing for the cruiserweight title?

Is there anyone who honestly thinks Dam(o)nYankees is a new poster? Can you get much more obvious?

Wait until baseball season starts. Patience, my friend.

Am I so deluded to think this might mean Sharmell takes the pinfall at Wrestlemania and not Booker?

If you were Booker, would you allow Boogeyman to pumphandle slam Sharmell?

Even better, the Candice vs Torrie pillow fight. Imagine the tension at that signing. After that brutal pillow shot Torrie took on RAW, you know there is going to be hell to pay. My god, she might hit her with a comforter.

They shouldn't have put Orton in the feud with Taker in the first place if they weren't going to have Orton go over.

Orton was booked to go over at Mania. He could've lost every match to Taker in their subsequent feud and saved face, but the first match was the make-or-break for Orton.
