Prior to deleting my myspace account, I met this girl and we've been chatting for about a week now, nothing serious or anything..

 

Out of the blue like 5 minutes ago shes like "you want to come over tonight and watch a movie with me?"

 

Yeah, well I was all but out the door before I realized that I have to get up a 3:30 am to work 4:30am-6pm tomorrow and theres no way I could do that. I told her I had to go to bed early (around 9) and she, and I quote said "oh", and then she said she was going to go take a shower and she logged off.

 

Sometimes I just want to fucking scream.

I have tried to work my long shift on less sleep and by the time I was done I was fucking dozing off driving home (and remember I only have a 10 minute drive home) and almost had a wreck. I vowed after that to never push my luck on less sleep for any reason again..going to bed at 9 or so, by the time I actually fall asleep with the aid of sleeping pills, Im looking at barely 6 hours of sleep.

 

Of course, I realize this for what it was "Im bored, you sound bored.." and that doesn't lead to "just watching a movie" despite intentions..and I realize that "ive got to go to bed early" pretty much puts me in loserville with her (at least its not a friday night I suppose) and she'll probably never ask me again...but I can't risk wrecking my car (no insurrance to cover it getting fixed at the easiest) and Im the only one that can cook on Fridays so theres no "call in sick" option.

 

So yeah.

Can you post pics of some of these girls so we can see what you are going after? IF a girl asks you out and you can't go, you at the very least tell them a day when you can hook up. By just saying "I have to get up early" means that you are rejecting them in their eyes.

And this is the first time Ive seen her profile since I quit myspace, aside from the friends shes added, its all the same including the blurry photo. I can atest to the fact that she has some typing dificulites for some reason but I can read her messages as its no worse than anyone elses IMs. I only messaged her because of the same town thing, but I know that she does live here (unlike the last time). And I don't know for sure, but her email comes back as from "Heaven Harris" so I guess thats her real name..

This whole thing just goes as another example of what a complete loser I am, although if I had it to do again, 99 out of 100 times Id choose the sleep over the girl even though all 99 times Id want to slam my head through a brick wall for doing it...kind of hard to explain..

I gotta defend Marvin here. Everyone on here says he's too desperate and yet they want him to go running to this girl. Secondly, her picture isn't exactly overwhelming; a blurry face shot conveniently leaving out the rest of her body? If she understands that you actually have responsibilities then perhaps things can be rescheduled. I would be somewhat cautious since this invitation came out of nowhere with little build up. A part of being able to get chicks is the abillity to stick to your guns and not drop your entire life for them.

With all due respect, you're a female. Barring bad body odor, or the reputation for having STDs (and those aren't necessarily dealbreakers either), you can get sex any night of the week from multiple guys. Any regular, unattached guy can give up a few hours of sleep for sex. To put it in simplest terms, you give up something you can have regularly for the things you can't. That's just common sense. The dude in question has been gettin' all the sleep he wants, but obviously not enough sex, and he willingly didn't make the trade. While it may be the honorable thing to do, that's just not being responsible in regards to his still unfulfilled NEEDS.

Well actually I sent her an email when I got home.. I know she works this weekend so I asked what she was doing next week (Im off monday/wednesday and next weekend) but like I said, my gut says Im not going to hear from her again. Thats been the trend anyway..
