jester 0 Report post Posted March 28, 2006 Cool. While getting out the sledgehammer, and taking his sweet ass time, HHH made Cena sell that ballshot for about a month. And made him look even weaker. Ah, I'm sure it's just hhhater paranoia.

BorneAgain 0 Report post Posted March 28, 2006 Shouldn't this mean that HBK and Cena over...? It wouldn't surprise me to see them both go over. HBK's a given and I can see Cena winning at Mania, so HHH looks like a team player then losing to Hunter at Backlash.
Guest Dam(o)nYankees Report post Posted March 28, 2006 I'm far more worried about the prospect of Cena retaining.
cabbageboy 0 Report post Posted March 28, 2006 I thought of that too, but what exactly is the point of Cena going over? I figure they should just job Cena at WM and then job him again at Backlash. I have to say after tonight I am VERY disturbed that Flair might win the MITB.
Downhome 0 Report post Posted March 28, 2006 When was the last time a RAW thread didn't even hit 10 pages? Or better yet, when was the last time a RAW thread for the last RAW before ANY PPV (much less WM) didn't even hit 10 pages?

Then he can turn, ditch the Vanilla Ice character and maybe we can try the Cena push again down the road. It has the obvious bonus of getting him the hell out of the title scene, but maybe it will light a fire under his ass and he'll stop half assing it in the ring and we can get 2003 Cena again. Its not great, but its better than this nonsense

Rock-Austin this title feud is not. Hell this isn't even Jericho-HHH.
Guest Dam(o)nYankees Report post Posted March 28, 2006 To be fair, I remember the go home Raw for XX being kind of blah. Of course, there were matches to be excited about on that show anyway, so it didnt need this build quite as much.
Gary Floyd 0 Report post Posted March 28, 2006 Not exactly a good Raw, but better than the ones of the previous weeks The Good -Mickie James -Ric Flair's promo. The Money in the bank match is the other highlight of Wresltemania IMO -Kane being trapped in a room...wait, there was another door -The Spirit Squad The Bad -Michaels vs. McMahon. The best thing about Wrestlemania, IMO, is that after this, this whole thing will hopefully be over. -HHH vs. Michaels. Not a bad match, but ruined by the whole Michaels vs. McMahon stuff -The Masterlock challenge -Cena vs. HHH. To quote the tagline to the equally disasterous Alien vs. Predator, "Whoever Wins, We Lose" -Foley. Really Mick, just retire for good -Horrible ending to Raw
Hunter's Torn Quad 0 Report post Posted March 28, 2006 Maybe Cena helps Shawn beat Vince and Vince then helps Hunter beat Cena as payback, and they can build to Cena/HBK vs. Hunter/Vince matches. It would certainly let them hold off the Cena vs. Hunter rematch for a while.

Downhome 0 Report post Posted March 28, 2006 I didn't see a single one. Did anyone mention this? Maria comes out to do the Kiss Cam. After two couples kissed, what appeared to be Pat Patterson and Gerald Brisco in the production truck were shown on screen. Patterson then assaulted Brisco with a kiss which got a rise out of the crowd.

Guest Princess Leena Report post Posted March 28, 2006 That "main event" was some of the worst shit I've ever seen. And someone needs to seriously sit Vince down, and stop taking the shit he does. It was simply scary watching him in the ring... with his bionic body, getting all red. The last thing I want to do is see some old man die in the middle of the ring. The five knuckle shuffle IN A CELL~! Hunter's not going to quit until he gets a good match out of the guy. If there is a God, Cena will be booed so vociferously in Chicago that they have to scrap this feud. Because if recent history is any indication, if they drag this feud out for four more months, they'll never bother actually establishing an issue between them. HHH is MAD and Cena is Mad coolz y'all! Doesn't cut it.
cabbageboy 0 Report post Posted March 28, 2006 The Cena/HHH crap could only continue to any degree at Vengeance if it is a HIAC NON TITLE affair. As in they can do the angle of RVD winning the MITB, then cashes it in and gets the emotional win at ONS over HHH. They can do the HHH/Cena thing and totally blow it off at Vengeance (a HIAC match doesn't need the title) while RVD can defend against Edge or Shelton, whoever....doesn't really matter since that would have all of 2 weeks of build. AlaskanHero 0 Report post Posted March 28, 2006 I know most will disagree, but I think Cena should retain at Mania. Have it be a hard fought, back and forth match, with Cena pulling off the victory. Have HHH talk about how he underestimated Cena. Have the rematch at Backlash or whatever the next Raw PPV is and have it be another back and forth match. At the end, overbook it with lots of run ins, ref bump, chair/sledgehammer shot and have HHH leave with the title. Hopefully the fans are booing the hell out of Cena, that would help the heel turn. Anyways, after Cena loses the match, he gets taken off screen for a little bit, until HHH's next opponant has their match against him (most likely RVD or Flair, doesn't matter which). During the big PPV match, after a ref bump, both HHH and his opponant are down (and preferably bleeding). HHH's opponant climbs to his feet along with HHH when Cena runs out, stares both men down before hitting an FU on the challenger. HHH hits the Pedigree, and he retains. Next night, Cena comes out and talks about how when he was champion, he fought to get the respect of the people and of his fellow wrestlers. After losing at Backlash, he saw that nothing he did would get the people to respect him, so fuck it. From there, he can feud with the guy he screwed over while HHH feuds with the other guy (either Flair or RVD) or with Shawn (again). And if the fans get back into Cena, put him and Triple H back against each other, somewhere down the line. Yeah, I went on a bit of a fantasy booking tangent there, my bad. UseTheSledgehammerUh 0 Report post Posted March 28, 2006 I DVR-ed Raw to watch 24. I don't want spoilers, but I gotta huge paper to finish and little time to watch the show. Can someone give me any funny stuff to watch for, points to fast forward through that are boring, or positive praise about anyone's promos/matches to look for? I'll have like 30 min to watch before I gotta get some sleep. Edit: Oh and any funny botches and blown spots, too.
