Larry the Cable Guy making any money at all saddens me, but I'm glad to see that Ice Age made a ton in its opening weekend.

Basic Instinct 2 did a bomb job so at least some good news came out of this.

Looks like it was to be expected. Slither looked like a 2.50 theater movie for me, cool actors and all but just didn't appear to have any meat on the bone worth going to check out for 9.50.

Holy shit, 70 million? Is that a record for an opening this time of year? It's still a month, month and a half before the summer movie season opens and big box office weekends are the usual.

I'm glad Slither just went out and bombed already. I'm sick of seeing commercials for it on TV.

A more grotesque rehash of a tired alien invasion/leeches plot is not worth seeing at all. God, modern horror movies suck.

Eh, sad to see Slither bomb that badly. I wanted to see it because of the "rubber suit" monster effects that it had. The fact that LCG: HI is still in theatres is yet another testament to the decay of society. I enjoy his stand-up routine, in moderation, but theres no way I could sit through an hour and a half of his stuff. Has anyone watched SHaggy Dog yet? The previews looked terrible.

Looked like a Sci-Fi Channel production to me.

It is a record for a March release.

Shaggy Dog was okay. Some of the dog scenes were funny, but the movie really dragged.
