CanadianGuitarist 0 Report post Posted April 3, 2006 Anyone see the remarkably good finish in the Kraft-Nabisco yesterday? Far easier to watch based on Mickelson's run-away. Masters picks? It's my favourite week of the year and I'd say my favourite sporting event as well. Mickelson's performance would have put him in spot B, but I don't see Tiger's heart being in it, and as such, Mick's the man. My darkhorse pick is Luke Donald(let's agree anyone outside of the Big 5,for argument's sake, is a darkhorse) after a weekend-long debate with my dad. I'm not trying to come off as biased, but Weir deserves a bid as well, a win and T5th in the last two tourneys, and he's been playing faiirly well this year, and it's tough to imagine him not getting better on Sundays. You're going to need to hit it straight on this course, hit decent iron shots and putt well, and he can sure do all of those. That said, my pick is still Mickelson. Campbell frightens me, as he's quietly one of the better players on tour and can play on Sundays. Freddie just stuffed one on 12, after a looooong wait to gauge the wind. Phil has a 4 shot lead and would have to really choke to lose this so huzzah for him. Four players tied at -4 so I'm rooting for Freddy to finish second and get himself a nice chunk of change. Baron, I was glad to see Mick win, but I would have been THRILLED to see Freddie pull it out. Just imagine if he had made that putt at 14..or the following. Danville_Wrestling 0 Report post Posted April 10, 2006 I was waiting for Mickelson to pull out a wrestling-style promo in Butler Cabin when Woods was sitting next to him. Sure, it wasn't going to happen because Mickelson is a classy guy and so is Woods but I could definitely sense a lot of tension in the air. Heck, Mickelson tooks Tiger's seat when they first sat down and then didn't want to/forgot to shake his hand after he was presented with the jacket. Regardless, I'm glad Mickelson won and I made a killing in fantasy golf with him and Tim Clark this week.
