Seriously though, I think the whole thing is overblown. Does anyone think there's a chance that if the Nationals turn this six-game slump into a total freefall by late May, Soriano goes to the Cardinals in return for some motley assortment of crap? He's already unhappy as it is in left, and will be considerably unhappier on the worst team in the NL. The Cardinals' only real weak point is Aaron Miles at second (well Encarnacion ain't so hot either), and this would let Alfie go to a good baseball town where he can play the position he wants to play. First game I've ever been to with back-to-back-to-back homeruns and to see it on three consecutive pitches (the first three of the inning) was amazing and especially cool to see the Big Hurt mixed in there for the three straight. Moments later, Murton doubles down the line, which would've easily scored the speedy Pagan. Nats have been thrown out two or three times already, which is proving to be big in a tied game.
