naiwf Posted April 21, 2006 Author Report Posted April 21, 2006 A rare two run infield single (even though he was out) for the O's gives them the lead thanks to Wang's sloooooooooow delivery. Miggy makes it 3-1 with another single.
MarvinisaLunatic Posted April 21, 2006 Report Posted April 21, 2006 HA HA! Points and laughs at Jeter Mora gets 2 RBIs on a bases loaded infield single because Jeters throw was high. And then Tejada slams one for an RBI single.. 3-1 Os!
Spaceman Spiff Posted April 21, 2006 Report Posted April 21, 2006 Hey, Ryan Howard is batting 7th again. Yay Charlie Manuel.
Bruiser Chong Posted April 21, 2006 Report Posted April 21, 2006 Are you implying that Captain Clutch, the greatest fielding shortstop ever, messed up a fairly routine play?
Bruiser Chong Posted April 21, 2006 Report Posted April 21, 2006 Hey, Ryan Howard is batting 7th again. Yay Charlie Manuel. What, you don't think he shouldn't be batting behind the likes of Alex Gonzalez and David Bell against the mighty Scott Olsen? I wonder why so many managers automatically assume that crappy utility players are a perfect fit for the two-spot in the batting order.
MarvinisaLunatic Posted April 21, 2006 Report Posted April 21, 2006 Are you implying that Captain Clutch, the greatest fielding shortstop ever, messed up a fairly routine play? Im still confused as to how he wasn't charged with an error on the play, but earned runs or unearned, it doesn't matter.
Cheech Tremendous Posted April 21, 2006 Report Posted April 21, 2006 Are you implying that Captain Clutch, the greatest fielding shortstop ever, messed up a fairly routine play? I am shocked that a Gold Glove infielder, a man who plays the game the right away, would to do this. Are you sure it wasn't somehow A-Rod's fault?
naiwf Posted April 21, 2006 Author Report Posted April 21, 2006 Big Papi and Manny go deep back to back. Im still confused as to how he wasn't charged with an error on the play, but earned runs or unearned, it doesn't matter. Unless Jeter throws it into the crowd or something like that he doesn't get the E-6 at home, especially if it's gonna be a "no-name" like Wang that gets screwed thanks to the official scorer.
MarvinisaLunatic Posted April 22, 2006 Report Posted April 22, 2006 The ump behind the plate sucks. 3 balls, 2 of which were strikes..and 2 strikes which were balls.. But..Benson manages to strike out A-Rod swinging after falling behind 3-0 in the count..
MarvinisaLunatic Posted April 22, 2006 Report Posted April 22, 2006 I was hoping that was gonna hook foul but no luck. Cano 2 run shot. 3-3
MarvinisaLunatic Posted April 22, 2006 Report Posted April 22, 2006 Fun stat Os have allowed 27 HR most in the AL
jwest27 Posted April 22, 2006 Report Posted April 22, 2006 Albert is simply on fire. Number 11 for him in the first inning against the Cubs.
Guest NYankees Posted April 22, 2006 Report Posted April 22, 2006 The ump behind the plate sucks. 3 balls, 2 of which were strikes..and 2 strikes which were balls.. Yeah and the first base umpire sucks because he blew a call that would have ended the inning which let the Orioles score 3 runs. So keep on complaining about the umps in this game.

I dont think you can compare a bang/bang play at first to repeatedly blowing balls and strikes calls behind the plate.
Guest Princess Leena Posted April 22, 2006 Report Posted April 22, 2006 A-Rod should play short. Drew Henson at 3rd. Trade Jeter for Bernie Brewer.
Bruiser Chong Posted April 22, 2006 Report Posted April 22, 2006 My god, Jerome Williams is one of the most frustrating starters the Cubs have most of the time. Walks hitting machines Aaron Miles and Mark Mulder to walk in a run. Yeesh. This game has all the makings of a blowout and I'm having flashbacks to last July when they were without Lee for a week.
Guest Princess Leena Posted April 22, 2006 Report Posted April 22, 2006 How long with Czech remain positive without Lee. I'm hoping for an A-Sault like breakdown.
MarvinisaLunatic Posted April 22, 2006 Report Posted April 22, 2006 Tejada with another baserunning blunder..but its still bases loaded and no out. Tejada should have been able to score on that. Edit..he got the stop sign..Im blaming the 3rd basecoach. 1 out now. Millar with a 2 RBI Single..5-4 Os.
Guest OSIcon Posted April 22, 2006 Report Posted April 22, 2006 Corey Patterson kills me. I guess it is easier said than done, but if he was just slightly more patient and became a slap hitter he'd be a big asset.
jwest27 Posted April 22, 2006 Report Posted April 22, 2006 Very fun game to watch so far after that sweep. Therapeutic, I would say. Hopefully, the bullpen won't blow it.
MarvinisaLunatic Posted April 22, 2006 Report Posted April 22, 2006 Proctor walks Markakis to force in a run 6-4, bases still loaded with the meat of the order coming up.
MarvinisaLunatic Posted April 22, 2006 Report Posted April 22, 2006 Orioles make a call to the blowpen. I really hope they can keep this lead.
KingPK Posted April 22, 2006 Report Posted April 22, 2006 After watching Burnett (for four innings, at least), Beckett and Lowell make plays tonight, Marlins fans must be throwing things about now.
Boon Posted April 22, 2006 Report Posted April 22, 2006 So much for the pitching duel between Beckett and Burnett.
MarvinisaLunatic Posted April 22, 2006 Report Posted April 22, 2006 The bullpen has been solid but we haven't had an appearance from Hawkins yet. Just 3 outs to get to Chris Ray..
naiwf Posted April 22, 2006 Author Report Posted April 22, 2006 Why is Hawkins in a game that is still winnable? Did they learn nothing from other throwing gas on the fire guys like Benitez & Julio in the past? Ah well, the Mets game should be starting any minute now.
Guest NYankees Posted April 22, 2006 Report Posted April 22, 2006 Nice to see the Yankees get screwed once again by the umps.
KingPK Posted April 22, 2006 Report Posted April 22, 2006 Yes, it's always the ump's fault. I guess they're going to get "screwed over" about 60-70 more times this season. I was thinking earlier how quickly this Sox/Jays game was going, but now we're in the 12th.
