Guest Posted May 12, 2006 Report Posted May 12, 2006 I'm going to call this one now. Either Ottawa or Colorado will win their series.
Star Ocean 3 Posted May 12, 2006 Report Posted May 12, 2006 You're an embarassment to Rancho Cucamonga.
Annabelle Posted May 12, 2006 Report Posted May 12, 2006 I'm going to call this one now. Either Ottawa or Colorado will win their series. wrong & wrong. nice try, though.
Guest Posted May 12, 2006 Report Posted May 12, 2006 Unknown and wrong. Ottawa still has the firepower that it takes.
Star Ocean 3 Posted May 12, 2006 Report Posted May 12, 2006 I need to get a Ducks jersey before they change their logo.
Prophet of Mike Zagurski Posted May 12, 2006 Report Posted May 12, 2006 You're an embarassment to Rancho Cucamonga. Ducks win!
CanadianChris Posted May 12, 2006 Report Posted May 12, 2006 Unknown and wrong. Ottawa still has the firepower that it takes. I don't even want to contemplate it. I just want a win Saturday night.
Fartsauce Posted May 13, 2006 Report Posted May 13, 2006 If I die of heart failure I blame the Oilers. This has been one unbelievable game.
CanadianChris Posted May 13, 2006 Report Posted May 13, 2006 This has all the makings of a seven-game series.
JustJoe2k5 Posted May 13, 2006 Report Posted May 13, 2006 I figured the Hurricanes were due for a letdown after their run. Atleast this will give them the opportunity to wrap up the series on home ice.
iggymcfly Posted May 14, 2006 Report Posted May 14, 2006 Go Sens go. They actually looked like they outplayed Buffalo a little in that first period, as toward the end, the Sabres hardly got any scoring chances at all. I still believe.
CanadianGuitarist Posted May 14, 2006 Report Posted May 14, 2006 Go Sens go. They actually looked like they outplayed Buffalo a little in that first period, as toward the end, the Sabres hardly got any scoring chances at all. I still believe. Maybe the Sens should shoot less. Well, they probably shouldn't, but every team that's had the least amount of shots per game in this series has won said game. And no, I haven't given up on the Sens either, if nothing else, because of the three Sabres fans I work with. Apparently Buffalo is already going nuts with banners saying how they've got this thing wrapped up. Pretty ballsy, as their not even HALFWAY there yet.
CanadianGuitarist Posted May 14, 2006 Report Posted May 14, 2006 2-2 with about 10 to play. Ottawa's looking a little anxious now. EDIT: Within three minutes, a good Senators chance re-energized the restless crowd, and Ottawa's back in control, with two or three close calls. Still tied. Six and change to play.
CanadianChris Posted May 14, 2006 Report Posted May 14, 2006 Overtime in an elimination game is the most stressful thing in sports. One shot, and your season could be over just like that.
the max Posted May 14, 2006 Report Posted May 14, 2006 The girlfriend called that goal. It's the ol' EA Sports hook play. Congrats to the Sabres. Close series, but Miller is looking like an elite player right now.

Close series, but Miller is looking like an elite player right now. I said the exact same thing, we called it the 2k6 s-move. That said, what the fuck was that? Jason fucking Pominville? Short handed? Against the Sens? Untouched? Jesus Christ. That's not a shot at Pominville, but who called that one instead of Drury or Briere? So an Anaheim-San Jose-Buffalo-Carolina final four is entirely possible. Gary Bettman is laughing his ass off like Ted Dibiase somewhere right now.
CanadianChris Posted May 14, 2006 Report Posted May 14, 2006 All I could think of as I watched that replay was how badly Alfredsson fucked that play up. He may as well have taken off his red jersey and waved it at Pominville, as much as he waved him past like a matador does to a bull. Congrats to the Sabres. They were the better team this series -- they handled the pressure light-years better than the Senators did. Now what? I think at this point you have to point to some of the players and say they're not getting the job done. As great as Alfredsson was in the regular season -- and he was a Hart Trophy candidate -- he was virtually invisible in the postseason. I think he may be permanently scarred by all the postseason failures here. He may need to be traded.
Guest Felonies! Posted May 14, 2006 Report Posted May 14, 2006 Fun fact: all four Eastern Conference teams ripped off the Blackhawks' color scheme. Jersey used to be red and green, Buffalo used to be blue and gold, Carolina was blue and green in Hartford, and Ottawa's only been around for like 14 years anyway. They did emulate Chicago in terms of playing like shit, though. What happened? Anyway, Oilers-Sabres PLEASE. Let's keep hockey to the hockey towns
Guest NYankees Posted May 14, 2006 Report Posted May 14, 2006 Wow the Senators are the annual chokers every year.
Star Ocean 3 Posted May 14, 2006 Report Posted May 14, 2006 Anyway, Oilers-Sabres PLEASE. Let's keep hockey to the hockey towns purist alert people complain about hockey not getting any new fans, and then there are comments like this

Let's keep hockey to the hockey towns purist alert people complain about hockey not getting any new fans, and then there are comments like this I hate that hockey expanded. I mean look at this. I mean there has be like a 100 players that play every weekend at my rink. I don't think hockey is working in So Cal. Get rid of it, I say.

The league will continue to be in the shitter with that kind of attitude.
KGB Posted May 14, 2006 Report Posted May 14, 2006 Ah, Alfie got PWNED~! I've hated him since 2002, so that was pretty sweet. Now I can go back to hating the Sabres again. GO WINNER OF THE SHARKS/OILERS SERIES! The Sharks are pretty much my 2nd favourite team, although I'm only a casual follower.
Slayer Posted May 14, 2006 Report Posted May 14, 2006 I wouldn't have so much a problem with Anaheim if their mascot wasn't based on some second-rate Disney film
Guest Posted May 14, 2006 Report Posted May 14, 2006 They're changing it after this season. I don't like their new logos either. And no, they don't need a team. EDIT: I made someone's sig. YES!
Guest Felonies! Posted May 14, 2006 Report Posted May 14, 2006 I wouldn't have so much a problem with Anaheim if their mascot wasn't based on some second-rate Disney film The Los Angeles suburbs don't need their own team.
Star Ocean 3 Posted May 15, 2006 Report Posted May 15, 2006 Orange County residents wouldn't appreciate being called a suburb. I don't care, just sayin' but Mighty Ducks is the best mascot and logo in sports and it sucks that they're changing it.
Prophet of Mike Zagurski Posted May 15, 2006 Report Posted May 15, 2006 I have an analogy for most of you: Anaheim is to LA what Long Island is to New York City. Different people and different backgrounds. Anaheim deserves its hockey team especially since they got new owners.
