Guest Brian Posted April 26, 2006 Report Posted April 26, 2006 Hell Yeah. I never get in these threads, but man, I should have been paying more attention to hockey alot earlier.
Zetterberg is God Posted April 26, 2006 Report Posted April 26, 2006 Goddamn that is heartbreaking. To come back down two in the third and still lose sucks. If Detroit doesn't win on Thursday, it's over because I just don't see Detroit overcoming a 3-1 defecit.
Guest Posted April 26, 2006 Report Posted April 26, 2006 Detroit needs to assert themselves better early in the game. I don't know how the old guard is going to be able to respond.
Fartsauce Posted April 26, 2006 Report Posted April 26, 2006 I'm happy as hell that we won but if I were a Wings fan I would be pissed off at Legace on that goal trying to do his best Patrick Roy impression.
Lt. Al Giardello Posted April 26, 2006 Author Report Posted April 26, 2006 2-1 over the Ducks! Boo Ya!
Guest Felonies! Posted April 26, 2006 Report Posted April 26, 2006 This Claude Lemeiux son of a bitch is a turd who tried to pick on Lightning players smaller than him The way you wrote this, it sounds as if you've never been exposed to the stylings of Claude Lemieux. That's been his act for over twenty years. I didn't even know he was still playing.
iggymcfly Posted April 26, 2006 Report Posted April 26, 2006 OLN and Dish Network finally made a deal on Monday, so I get to see hockey now! Thank god! Â Game 3 of the Sens/Lightning series was a great way to start as the Sens absolutely dominated Tampa Bay. They scored 8 goals and would have been up 5-0 going into the third period if not for a goal scored on a cheap 2-man advantage. There were plenty of fights whenever things started to drag too which is always fun, but the important thing is how solid Ottawa looked all-around. I really think they could win the Cup this year.

Guest Felonies! Posted April 26, 2006 Report Posted April 26, 2006 Oh, my mistake. I should chop a finger off for that one. Sorry about that smh   So, is Claude Lemieux still playing? I like anyone who can be that much of a bastard.
CanadianChris Posted April 26, 2006 Report Posted April 26, 2006 Funny how when a pest plays for your own team, he's doing an awesome job, but when he plays for the other team, he's a little bitch. About the same attitude I have toward Darcy Tucker. Â Anyway, if Dingman thought fighting Neil was going to send a message, it obviously didn't have the desired effect, judging by how the game ended. It was a stupid move that just showed that Tampa Bay had completely lost their cool. Even Tortorella bitched out Dingman in a post-game interview. Â Oh, and Neil would have fought Dingman 10 times out of 10 if that was a regular-season game. He's the toughest guy on the team aside from McGrattan.
Guest Posted April 26, 2006 Report Posted April 26, 2006 I like pests, just not Ruutu. They make the game more fun.

Even Tortorella bitched out Dingman in a post-game interview.  Oh, and Neil would have fought Dingman 10 times out of 10 if that was a regular-season game. He's the toughest guy on the team aside from McGrattan.  First of all when he played for the Bolts I was no fan of Tucker's act when he started his shit (which wasn't as often as in TO) cause it would hurt the team more than he helped it. I understand why Torts was pissed but to me that game was lost and Neil needed to be taken care of for that night. If this was the regular season, maybe he would've fought Dingman may he wouldnt but the broader point is that in this series Neil has been a turd, the game was out of reach, and he deserved what he got (if not more).
Red Baron Posted April 26, 2006 Report Posted April 26, 2006 But there's no justification for doing that. Face it, when the team gets down, they are most likely to play dirty and injure someone than go for the win (IE, Gauthier on Vannick). Â What Neil did was a smart move, he got under the team skin, caused some penalties and decided that the scoreboard is the way to beat the team, not in the penalty box.
Red Baron Posted April 26, 2006 Report Posted April 26, 2006 Bobby Clarke defends Pat Quinn  Somehow this is a strange twist of irony that four years ago, they were bitter rivals.
CanadianChris Posted April 26, 2006 Report Posted April 26, 2006 Bobby Clarke defends Pat Quinn Somehow this is a strange twist of irony that four years ago, they were bitter rivals. Yeah, I had to look twice when I read that article in this morning's paper. Quinn does seem like Clarke's ideal head coach, though (not that I think Hitchcock is on his way out or anything).
Red Baron Posted April 26, 2006 Report Posted April 26, 2006 You wouldn't be able to tell the difference between the two styles really.
Fartsauce Posted April 26, 2006 Report Posted April 26, 2006 Bob Clarke has no right saying any of that. Remember his treatment of Roger Neilson when he had cancer?
Guest NYankees Posted April 26, 2006 Report Posted April 26, 2006 Rangers are already down 2-0 in the first 10 minutes of the First Period. God damn this team has gone from great to suck in a month.
Guest NYankees Posted April 26, 2006 Report Posted April 26, 2006 Sykora hits the goal post two times so far tonight.
mike546 Posted April 26, 2006 Report Posted April 26, 2006 WTF 7 fucking posts in 7 periods ridiculous. Â We have the puck in their zone 3/4ths of the period and were losing 2-0. Were out working them and were losing 2-0. I DON'T GET IT.

Were out working them and were losing 2-0. I DON'T GET IT.  Because the Rangers suck, they dont have any other finishers besides Jagr and Prucha, half the team is injured, the Devils are getting all of the breaks and bounces. The Devils are finally going to get revenge for Matteau. Even thought it is about 12 years too late.
the max Posted April 27, 2006 Report Posted April 27, 2006 I'd say the Devils winning three Cups since Matteau is revenge enough.
Guest NYankees Posted April 27, 2006 Report Posted April 27, 2006 Make that 3-0 Devils over the Rangers. If you want the bet the farm against the Rangers feel free to do so.
Guest NYankees Posted April 27, 2006 Report Posted April 27, 2006 I'd say the Devils winning three Cups since Matteau is revenge enough. Â Â I was being sarcastic. The Ranges wished they had the success that the Devils have had over the past decade.
Lt. Al Giardello Posted April 27, 2006 Author Report Posted April 27, 2006 Enough of this NY talk... Â MTL/Canes game is 0-0 in the 2nd period.
Urban Warfare Posted April 27, 2006 Report Posted April 27, 2006 Nice goal there by Zednik, 1-0 Habs. The crowd is loud as fuck.
DrVenkman PhD Posted April 27, 2006 Report Posted April 27, 2006 I was so happy to see that goal. This has been an exciting game, and I'm glad it's in Montreal now (I enjoy the home crowd cheers for the team I'm rooting for).
DrVenkman PhD Posted April 27, 2006 Report Posted April 27, 2006 Wow that awesome, I thought Montreal was going to make it 2-0.
Urban Warfare Posted April 27, 2006 Report Posted April 27, 2006 Man, if not for Ward, Carolina would be down 4-0. Another great stop on a breakaway.
mike546 Posted April 27, 2006 Report Posted April 27, 2006 I don't even think the Rangers have had a 3 on 2 in this series.
