J. Hungerford Smith Posted April 18, 2006 Report Posted April 18, 2006 I think I got everything but it might be somewhat out of order: Dark match: Scotty 2 Hotty pinned Vito Booker T beat Matt Hardy with help from Sharmell Paul London pinned Joey Matthews with a rollup Lashley and Benoit beat Finlay and Orlando Jordan, Lashley pinned OJ with the Dominator Pirate Paul made Regal dress up like a woman, a bear and a chicken in several skits throughout the night. They then had a tag match with Gymini and Regal ended up coming to the ring as Captain Hook, Paul abandoned Regal to get pinned. Khali beat Funaki in like 20 seconds, Khali has NO heat whatsoever JBL had a "Great American Celebration" in which he insulted the crowd and the band that played, fired Jillian for making too many mistakes. Then cut a promo saying he was going to challenge the winner of Kurt Angle vs. Rey Mysterio for the title next week which was announced by Teddy Long at some point backstage. Prompted Angle to come out, followed by Rey, they had a promo and then Rey and Angle beat up JBL. This was apparently the end of Smackdown. Taker and Cena had a dark match after RAW, which was interrupted by Khali, which prompted us to leave
Guest Princess Leena Posted April 18, 2006 Report Posted April 18, 2006 Dalip Singh's name is Khali? Lame. I can't wait to see him, though.
UZI Suicide Posted April 18, 2006 Report Posted April 18, 2006 Shit man, I like London and Spanky and all, but do they really need to be completely dominating this feud with MNM?
Hawk 34 Posted April 18, 2006 Report Posted April 18, 2006 So wait, they are blowing the Angle/Rey rematch on TV? Kendrick and London, owning MnM is sort of reverse of what we normally expect. The heels usually dominate the singles programs with the baby's getting the big tag victory...but it's like they are building to MnM getting the blow-off win at Judgment Day instead.
CanadianChick Posted April 18, 2006 Report Posted April 18, 2006 Well, instead of establishing them with other tag teams, WWE decided to just throw Spanky/London in a feud with the champs, so yeah, they do have to dominate so people know who the hell they are. I fully expect some sort of setup/beatdown next week, rest assured.
Guest wildpegasus Posted April 18, 2006 Report Posted April 18, 2006 So Benoit's doing absolutely nothing again?
CanadianChick Posted April 18, 2006 Report Posted April 18, 2006 Lashley and Benoit beat Finlay and Orlando Jordan, Lashley pinned OJ with the Dominator
Guest wildpegasus Posted April 18, 2006 Report Posted April 18, 2006 Lashley and Benoit beat Finlay and Orlando Jordan, Lashley pinned OJ with the Dominator Thanks for pointing that out but what I actually mean is no direction. He doesn't seem to have anything interesting lined up for him at all. No Gunner Scott, no JBL, no tilte shots, meaningless tags and no stories. Maybe they're starting to set up Benoit vs Lashley for the tournament but who knows? They're completely wasting him -- moreso than usual.
Fökai Posted April 18, 2006 Report Posted April 18, 2006 His match with Finlay is next week. If they have something planned for him, it is as a result of how their match plays out.
FroGG_NeaL Posted April 18, 2006 Report Posted April 18, 2006 Dalip Singh's name is Khali? Lame. I can't wait to see him, though. He destroys Funaki with the simplest moves you could think of. Threadstarter:"He's not over at all" Dude was extremely over when he came out to attack The Undertaker in his dark match with John Cena after Raw went off the air.

Guest J0bber Posted April 18, 2006 Report Posted April 18, 2006 I'm guessing Booker T/Matt Hardy was a King of the Ring match.

FroGG_NeaL Posted April 18, 2006 Report Posted April 18, 2006 I'm guessing Booker T/Matt Hardy was a King of the Ring match. Yup.
Guest nokia Posted April 18, 2006 Report Posted April 18, 2006 Watch Khali go through the ENTIRE cw division before taking on Taker at the next ppv.....it sickens me...
haws bah gawd Posted April 18, 2006 Report Posted April 18, 2006 So what did Khali use as a finisher? Did he get stuck with Generic Hoss Finisher #42-B: Spinebuster/Powerbomb/Pumphandle Slam, or was it something different? Smackdown sounds extremely shitty this week.
Guest treecelightning Posted April 18, 2006 Report Posted April 18, 2006 Multiple Burchill Skits = not shitty.
FroGG_NeaL Posted April 18, 2006 Report Posted April 18, 2006 Khali uses a stalled Double-Handed Chokeslam.
RedJed Posted April 18, 2006 Report Posted April 18, 2006 First time in a long time I can say that Smackdown looks like complete filler material and on paper comes across really dull sounding. Sounds like it's all a lead-in to next week. I wouldnt be surprised to see MNM v. Kendrick/London for the titles next week either. So Angle/Rey and Finely/Benoit next week? I suppose that will be their "ppv calibur" Smackdown to compete with the Raw ppv, as they do sometimes. If they pull JBL v. Rey or Angle (likely Rey since Angle is already in KOTR and it seems obvious they will likely put him in the finals) at Judgment Day, they are making a mistake, but I understand it since the heel depth is so low right now. But instead of putting the US champ in a title match at a ppv, why not just turn someone such as, I dunno, Benoit?

Because he's losing to Rey next week and he'll need to recapture some of his heat?
Dark Age Posted April 18, 2006 Report Posted April 18, 2006 Angle Vs. Benoit seems the logical final. I could see Lashley/Book, too, but I can't see them jobbing Angle to Booker. That lets them have Lashley/Finlay's blowoff at Judgment Day, too, along with Rey vs. JBL for the title. I dunno what they do with Booker, maybe Hardy.
Dark Age Posted April 18, 2006 Report Posted April 18, 2006 Wait a minute, I forgot JBL was US champ. Why is he challenging for the world title? I mean, that's cool in theory, everyone wanting the belt, but why use the US champion in a world title match when he could be used to pad out the card a bit? Why not just leave the belt on Benoit? Why not put it back on another heel, like Booker, who has NOTHING to do right now? I don't get this. Maybe JBL will cost Angle the match next week and face Rey sometime on tv, where Angle can get revenge. They could then do JBL/Angle at JD.

haws bah gawd Posted April 18, 2006 Report Posted April 18, 2006 Khali uses a stalled Double-Handed Chokeslam. Wonderful, so he's using Boogeyman's finisher now.
FroGG_NeaL Posted April 18, 2006 Report Posted April 18, 2006 Nah, man. It's that move that all the hosses use, pick up by the throat with both hands, like you're strangling the guy, then he "slams" them. Like Kane used to do, when he'd bounce guys halfway across the ring with it. Except this guy just drops them... It's almost too bad to describe properly.

Still sounds like the move Boogeyman beat Booker T with at Wrestlemania. Unless Khali just lifts them up with the choke and drops them, in which case I will tune in for the hilarity.

Booker, could easily win via reverse referee decision. Angle, should beat Booker rather easily but refuse to let go of the Ankle Lock, and the decision is revered. Booker T, gets to sell another injury, which usually results in hilarity.
Lt. Al Giardello Posted April 18, 2006 Report Posted April 18, 2006 Yeah I can see a Rock/Shamrock WM14 finish. But either way I think the finals of KOTR will be Booker/Lashley, with Lashley squashing him in 6 miniutes.

Sorry, but that feud seems to have fizzled out... and it didn't even have a blowoff.
