Hoff 0 Report post Posted April 21, 2006 A lot of action, though. It LOOKS promo-heavy because I left a lot of room for late people. It was all well-written, which means I liked it. Short can be okay once in a while. More later. Other people leave stuff!
alfdogg 0 Report post Posted April 21, 2006 My squash matches seem to be missing.
Tony149 0 Report post Posted April 21, 2006 Hey Alf, you should save a squash match for my weekend show May 13th. I need some singles action on the card. The Sk8ter Boiz-D*LUX match was all kinds of awesome. Great action, great commentary and lots of grrrrreat gags, like the Heather Mills McCartney bit and the one where Marv played air guitar on Tyler's arm. I'm lovin' the Dan Black-Hoff feud. Two top notch promos that are better than anything I could ever write. Holy shit! The Love Doctors are back! Really fun match until the old school NWA/WCW finish. No problem because I smell rematch. Or read the LA booking thread. Excellent Drek Stone promo. The humor didn't take anything away from what he said. Bitchin' ME. Action-packed match to close out an action-packed show. More intrigue at the end! MOTN: Boiz vs. D*LUX Co-Lines of the Night: "You'd think when you become a celebrity you'd have enough money to buy a baby name book or something, pick a normal name. I mean, Suri. Apple. Moses. Peaches. Brooklyn." -- Jade Rodez "Look at that intensity! It's a good thing this guy ain't a Scientologist, he wouldn't just eat the afterbirth, he'd eat the entire child because he's a MONSTER~!" -- Coach
King Cucaracha 0 Report post Posted April 21, 2006 Alf's matches have graciously been edited in by moi. EDIT: And some feedback! Man, I was on fire this week, huh? Co-Lines of the night. Wowza. Although, to be fair, Patty's may or may not have something to edit in soon that'll blow me out of the water. It takes me a while to remember which one Frank is and which one Frankie is sometimes, but I like the Bruisers. The again, I like the Steiners. Glad to see I've inadvertantly started a feud for someone. *Boink* has to be the greatest sound effect ever. Nice double build, two feuds in one, good stuff. Nice squash by Alf. No sure there's much else to say about it, except I'd like to see Team Heyross do something bigger again, real soon. D*LUX/Boiz was actually the second match I wrote so I'm surprised it was okay. Now that I think of it, Melody and Jade should be the New Chicks Over Dicks. Some more intrigue with Brock and seeing as I didn't say it last week like everyone else, count me in on the Brock bandwagon. Another nice squash by Alf and good to see people remembering there's a PPV coming up. Speaking of which, here's a patented Hoff promo. 'Real silver' sunglasses? How the hell do you see out of them? That'd be like walking around with two spoons over your eyes, surely? Silly Hoff. A CSI mention, which is for the show and not the stable, but seeing as we're here...now Hoff's back, when are CSI coming back? Make it happen Hoff. Make it happen. Heel Hoff > Face Hoff by the way. I'm amazed Chinese people can understand Dan's English accent...or, his English, period...but that aside, another fine promo to build to Living Anglelously. Dan/Hoff should be awesome. It's amazing how much that smilie looks like Buff/Hoff actually. Unlike Tony, personally, I liked my Love Doctors/CW-Bo match better than the Boiz/D*LUX match. Maybe it's just me. Jackie Gayda re - turns! Holy crap! And Drek pwns her, awesome. MACHO MAN! Wow, Drek bringing them all back. Very nice promo from Drek, short but sweet. Yay, another LA Match to look forward to. Again, liking the push for Brock. A rare(ish) promo for T-Bod, which gets a thumbs up from me. Hey, whatever happened to Candie being pregnant? Or did I imagine it? Whatever, a promo where Zack ate her afterbirth would be money, pure money. Uhm...match...yeah. A great match actually, well written triple threat. I kinda have an inside scoop on the masked men so I won't say too much, but I'm excited about where it's all going.
Hoff 0 Report post Posted April 21, 2006 My squash matches seem to be missing. That was my thought when I was posting the show. I never got them.
Masked Man of Mystery 0 Report post Posted April 21, 2006 I skimmed the show, it was good, as usual, and I'll try to put in the nav tags tonight after work
Mystery Eskimo 0 Report post Posted April 21, 2006 Some tasty Back o' Feed: Tony continues to work wonders with the tag team scene. If he ever gets tired of Mr Brannigan, there's a host of characters waiting to break out of his tag teams into singles. Frank Frankensteiner, the Man of Tomorrow, is my pick for that guy from this match. SCM always makes me think of Shawn Michaels, as the acronym would also work for Sweet Chin Music, and when I read: "OW, OW, OW, OWWWWWWWWW!" My brain thought it was the start of HBK's music...stupid brain...anyway, good tag match and I enjoy the telescopic baton. Nice little squash for Team Heyross, some fun offense in there. Nerdleys/D*LUX was lots of fun. I always enjoy ridiculously long criss cross segments, and the action proper was very smooth and engaging. Another quick squash that I can't take much from, but I'll look forward to the Reject/TK match at LA. Great work from Hoff on our programme this week. Strong promos with a logical build to a match stipulation. Nice to see the Love Docs back after I've left them to languish in HIYAH (and hold the tag titles for over a year now, I think). "Trust me, I'm a doctor" was a nice touch. Good build on the hot tag, which I often find hard to build drama on myself, and I appreciated the DQ finish. A good reminder of my viewing of Bill Watt's WCW. Drek lays the smackdown on Jackie. Excellent. And a smart, to the point reply from Mr Brannigan. A solid main event - quite a strange combination, but maybe I've not been paying attention to storylines enough. Ah, mystery men. I do like mystery men. Even when it was Animal in WCW. Good show, overall, building well towards LA.
Tony149 0 Report post Posted April 21, 2006 A good reminder of my viewing of Bill Watt's WCW. Just rub it in. You Brits get all the good shit up there. And unedited too! For any of those old school goodies to see the light of day commerically would mean goodbye to Ventura, referring to the voice edits on WWE DVD releases. I went back-and-forth on the MOTN. I was going to go with the HI-YAH tag match but something about D*LUX clicked with me, like I'd be seeing more of them soon, very soon. Then again, I should've just said the ME to take the easy way out, but KC wrote TWO matches so I had to give it to him. Anyway, rest of the feedback...I hope. Alf has these squash matches down to a science. It's like he can pump them out in his sleep. Team Heyross is the best tag team not involved in the title scene. To echo what KC said, I'd also like to see more from them. But it's all about timing. To fuel discussion, think closely about Drek Stone's promo. You might be a kick out of it if you figure out what I'm talking about. Here's a hint: it's the man who represents Drek Stone. Think about it and what Stone does to Jackie. I found it humorous. Will you?
Mystery Eskimo 0 Report post Posted April 21, 2006 I found it as humorous as I found Masked Man of Mystery's signature pics disturbing. HHH looks all pretty.
Masked Man of Mystery 0 Report post Posted April 22, 2006 I'm hoping to get enough people annoyed with my sig to tell Corey to get the dead baby out of his sig, at which point I will happily drop the feminzied Trips and Randy
King Cucaracha 0 Report post Posted April 23, 2006 Incase you hadn't noticed, Patty has edited in a 24/7 Title segment and it demands reading...especially from whoever updates title histories, hint hint.
Stephen Joseph 0 Report post Posted April 23, 2006 Great 24/7 segment Sorry that I didnt have anything...work is being murder right now...

Dr. Zoidberg 0 Report post Posted April 25, 2006 ShIT, son!~ I dig the HTML format styleeeez.
Hoff 0 Report post Posted April 25, 2006 It's absolutely gorgeous, but I still don't dig it for the weekly shows.
CanadianChick 0 Report post Posted April 25, 2006 Pssssh to KC: 5"7' isn't really that short... I like the HTML style too.
Masked Man of Mystery 0 Report post Posted April 25, 2006 Thanks, guys, but Hoff, what don't you like about the HTML for the shows?
Tony149 0 Report post Posted April 25, 2006 Been a while since I've seen Patty around. Nice to know he's still alive and kicking. One thing his segment last week proved is to never doubt his awesomeness. Not only did he put Mackie to use, he quoted Devo and had a Jessica Simpson cameo! And thumbs up to MMoM's for the HTML shows. I finally got a chance to read Leon's promo from AM V because of it.
Hoff 0 Report post Posted April 27, 2006 Thanks, guys, but Hoff, what don't you like about the HTML for the shows? Commercials, commercials, commercials. Also, it feels special. I know that's because it's new, but I like the weekly shows having a rougher feel. The system we have in place is pretty good, and I'd rather see this enhance than replace. Masked Man of Mystery 0 Report post Posted April 27, 2006 I personally look at it as a convinience issue, so I plan on continuing making the shows
Hoff 0 Report post Posted April 27, 2006 Hey, if you wanna keep making them, that's great. I just don't want to lose what we have.
