Dangerous A Posted May 8, 2006 Report Posted May 8, 2006 Snakes on a Plane is going to 0wn my money (matinee money) and my face.
starvenger Posted May 8, 2006 Report Posted May 8, 2006 Oh man, how could I forget Snakes on a Plane? One word: Thetans.
NoCalMike Posted May 8, 2006 Report Posted May 8, 2006 Yeah, but X-Men 3 will probably be a lot more fun. I am actually kind of getting tired of settling for merely "fun" movies. I mean I guess some movies you never get too old for, but seriously, sometimes over the past few summers, when I am watching the Big Summer Blockbusters, I am sitting in the theater thinking that I have crossed the demographic that Big Studios care about. Not because the movies outright suck, or are terrible, but they are merely average. Well I am sorry, but I am tired of paying $10 a pop, for average flicks. Yes I will still be suckered into some movies because they are well advertised, but I am going to stop second guessing myself from now on when I see a trailer like MI:3 and my initial reaction is to stay away from it. That's because you are a movie snob and out of touch with what people want. :asshole2 Is it wrong to take that as a compliment? Well obviously not AS MANY people wanted MI:3 as the studios thought. So I guess the joke is on them.

Dangerous A Posted May 9, 2006 Report Posted May 9, 2006 Snakes on a Plane is going to 0wn my money (matinee money) and my face. LIAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Fuck you, I'm seeing it. I'll probrably be lit up, but I'm seeing it.
Man Who Sold The World Posted May 9, 2006 Report Posted May 9, 2006 Snakes on a Plane will own if only for Samuel L. Jackson saying "We gotta get these mothafuckin' snakes off the mothafuckin' plane". I saw M:I 3 twice over the weekend and I only enjoyed it because of the work of Philip Seymour Hoffman, Laurence Fishborne, and Simon Pegg. For the little time Pegg and Fishborne were on the screen they owned it. But Hoffman stole the fuckin' show, he made me believe in his assholeness. Good summer flick, just fun all around.
Lil' Bitch Posted May 10, 2006 Report Posted May 10, 2006 I've actually spoken with a handful of people who don't want to see it because of Tom Cruise. I think it's more overexposure than it is him being crazy about Katie Holmes/baby/Scientology/psychiatry. Some people are just sick of him right now. That's understandable. Didn't the same thing happen to Ben Affleck because of his overexposed relationship with Jennifer Lopez?

Fuck you, I'm seeing it. I'll probrably be lit up, but I'm seeing it. Well if you wanna get lit, among other things, and see it, then I am game. You just make sure you come down to Sac-Town to see it.....and I will be happy to provide you with whatever you need to assist you in your viewing pleasure.

packwingfn Posted May 13, 2006 Report Posted May 13, 2006 Can I say I'm now in love with Michelle Monaghan....mmm mmm good. Keri Russel was looking good as well, even if brief
Hank Kingsley Posted June 1, 2006 Report Posted June 1, 2006 It was odd and refreshing seeing Capote the day before I saw this. Philip Seymour Hoffman has the fucking range, and is definitely my favorite actor of the moment. Really great movie--the Vatican City infiltration especially was awesome, and I loved seeing Simon Pegg.
Maztinho Posted June 2, 2006 Report Posted June 2, 2006 Intense movie. Good stuff. So what ended up happening with the bomb in his head? Feel free to go ahead and throw up some spoilers. Movie ending here-- Hoffman was run over by an errant Chinese driver after detonating it. With minutes to live, Tom Cruise electrocutes himself to stop the bomb and then is revived by his wife. After reading that spoiler. I'm glad I didn't bother with this flick. Gayest ending... EVAH!!!!
Jonathon Posted November 6, 2006 Report Posted November 6, 2006 Just watched this twice this week, and LOVED it. Makes me wish JJ Abrams directed the entire trilogy, and kept Hoffman as the main baddie throughout. Loved the newfound emotional intensity with Hunts backstory.
Craig Th Posted November 7, 2006 Report Posted November 7, 2006 This was just a good ol action flick, nothing more, nothing less.
