naiwf Posted May 13, 2006 Report Posted May 13, 2006 Cliff Floyd is the drizzling shits. Why doesn't Willie sit this fucking automatic out already? Aside from that game tying HR in the game he left 10 men on base last week he has done NOTHING productive all year.

naiwf Posted May 13, 2006 Report Posted May 13, 2006 Phillies Pen 1 Hamels 0 Endy Chavez has been more productive, but they keep sitting Nady to get him AB's. It's Bizarro World where a .184-3-14, 1000 LOB hitter is the guy who doesn't ride the pine in favor of a guy hitting .287-8-18 who has routinely made the offense go.

But, of course, he's currently in Norfolk so the Mets have space for Valentin. Thanks, Willie.
KingPK Posted May 13, 2006 Report Posted May 13, 2006 Fenn-wayy Riverrrrrr That Fen-wayy Riverrrr Why they didn't just call this damn game after the 5th I don't know. Someone's bound to break an ankle out on that soaked field.
EVIL~! alkeiper Posted May 13, 2006 Report Posted May 13, 2006 Anyone notice that the only run in the A's/Yankees game so far was A-Rod's home run?
Bruiser Chong Posted May 13, 2006 Report Posted May 13, 2006 Anyone notice that the only run in the A's/Yankees game so far was A-Rod's home run? That doesn't count, because the game didn't seem to be on the line. Some near drama in Cleveland. Kenny Rogers threw in on Eduardo Perez, who apparently didn't like it, as he managed to say "fuck you" AS he fouled off a later pitch. Pudge played mediator and cooler heads prevailed.
KingPK Posted May 13, 2006 Report Posted May 13, 2006 Oh yeah, NOW they roll out the tarp in the middle of an Ortiz at-bat. If they wanted to wait so damn long, they could have waited until the damn inning was over.
naiwf Posted May 13, 2006 Report Posted May 13, 2006 Prince Fielder just MURDERED a ball to break up Lima's shut out, and I just realized he was also born on May 9th. The only other ballplayer I knew who shared my birthday before him was Tony Gwynn.
CanadianChris Posted May 13, 2006 Report Posted May 13, 2006 Why the hell can't Toronto beat Tampa Bay? They're 2 innings from going to 1-3 against the mighty D-Rays.
Guest NYankees Posted May 13, 2006 Report Posted May 13, 2006 Bernie goes boooom. Hit a homerun off of Randy Homerun Keisler. Thats the Randy Keisler I remember from 6 years ago.
naiwf Posted May 13, 2006 Report Posted May 13, 2006 Lima is imploding. Somebody pull this dude before we're down by 2 instead of up 2.
EVIL~! alkeiper Posted May 13, 2006 Report Posted May 13, 2006 More stupidity. We use our best pinch-hitter and bring him back when the Reds bring in their 12th man out of the bullpen, who happens to be left handed. Of course Alex Gonzalez managed a hit.
naiwf Posted May 13, 2006 Report Posted May 13, 2006 The Mets got jobbed by the 3rd base ump and promptly gave up the lead when Lima gave up a 3 run double to Jenkins. Fuck Jose getting a chance to have the 'W' at the expense of giving up the lead. That's just retarded.
devo Posted May 13, 2006 Report Posted May 13, 2006 That's the kind of stellar bullpen management you can expect from Willie Randolph. Bring Bradford in for one pitch (in which he gives up an RBI single) and then immediately take him out. Great work.
jwest27 Posted May 13, 2006 Report Posted May 13, 2006 Ricardo Rincon had surgery on his rotator cuff and is out for the year. Money well spent.
devo Posted May 13, 2006 Report Posted May 13, 2006 Three runs driven in on two pitches. Jesus fucking Christ.
naiwf Posted May 13, 2006 Report Posted May 13, 2006 The Brew Crew get SIX runs thanks to a blown call at 3rd. Not that the Mets didn't deserve getting their asses handed to them for leaving Lima in that long.
EVIL~! alkeiper Posted May 13, 2006 Report Posted May 13, 2006 Tick. Tock. Hear that? It sounds like the end is near for the division lead. Go Phils!
devo Posted May 13, 2006 Report Posted May 13, 2006 Fun Fact: That clock and Lima Time are perfectly synchronized.
Guest Smues Posted May 13, 2006 Report Posted May 13, 2006 Braves win 6-2 over Washington and Smoltz throws another complete game for career victory 180. Huzzah.
treble Posted May 13, 2006 Report Posted May 13, 2006 Why the hell can't Toronto beat Tampa Bay? They're 2 innings from going to 1-3 against the mighty D-Rays. Why can't they win more than 2 in a row? I don't think they've won 3 straight all year so far.
Bruiser Chong Posted May 13, 2006 Report Posted May 13, 2006 You know, it pains me that Bob Brenley has this rep as a good/great manager because he has a ring. I see all these Cubs fans DEMANDING Brenley be "brought down from the booth" to manage the Cubs. Uh, he's pretty much like Baker. No one seems to look at his rotation featuring two 20-game winners that season.
naiwf Posted May 13, 2006 Report Posted May 13, 2006 Is Rickie Weeks the worst infielder in the NL? The dude is a 2nd baseman with ELEVEN errors in 31 games.
EVIL~! alkeiper Posted May 13, 2006 Report Posted May 13, 2006 Victorino's red hot right now. 4 for 4 including a home run. Double and a triple yesterday as well. He's gotten hits in his last six at bats.
UseTheSledgehammerUh Posted May 13, 2006 Report Posted May 13, 2006 naiwf, Hamels held the hottest offensive team in the NL to 2 runs, and a 4 2/3 no-hitter. Get a clue.
naiwf Posted May 13, 2006 Report Posted May 13, 2006 naiwf, Hamels held the hottest offensive team in the NL to 2 runs, and a 4 2/3 no-hitter. Get a clue. Uh, what the fuck are you talking about? He had a great outing, and the bullpen cost him his first ML win. Show me where I said he did a bad job or otherwise said anything negative about anything he did tonight.
CanadianChris Posted May 13, 2006 Report Posted May 13, 2006 Why the hell can't Toronto beat Tampa Bay? They're 2 innings from going to 1-3 against the mighty D-Rays. Why can't they win more than 2 in a row? I don't think they've won 3 straight all year so far. Just once. They've had so many chances to sweep series, and they haven't done that yet, either. They should be leading this division, but they can't put together a winning streak. Of course, some of that is due to the fact that Josh Towers hasn't won one fucking game yet this season.
MarvinisaLunatic Posted May 13, 2006 Report Posted May 13, 2006 The Os are barely going to be able to beat the Royals..and its not a done deal yet, although Ray is in with 2 outs.. Chris Ray gets his 9th save in 9 chances, Os win 6-5.
