Guest guerillagenius Report post Posted August 12, 2006 But nevertheless, once you get into season 2, it's just as riviting. No, it's just a prelude to Avon's release from jail. The characters in Season 2 just didnt appeal to me as much as Seasaon 1, doesn't mean the writing was bad though. It had Method Man in it for fucks sake! So did Season 3 and you didn't have to deal with The Greek or whatever his name was, plus Season 3 had the awesome showdown of Brother Mouzone and Omar. Black Lushus 0 Report post Posted August 12, 2006 okay I can admit, 4 episodes into Season 2, I'm starting to get a little interested...McNulty, Bunk and Freamon are officially my favorite TV cops.
Lord of The Curry 0 Report post Posted August 13, 2006 Freamon is the man. I knew from the start of season one that he'd come up with something that would fuck shit up and sure enough *BLAM* he comes up with the only known picture of Avon Barksdale.
Darthtiki 0 Report post Posted August 14, 2006 I hope that the route they're going with entourage that the Ramones biopic gives Vince an Academy nod. Once again Martin Landau proved at least in my mind to be one of the greatest character actors ever, plus he had a great looking daughter to boot.
Spicy McHaggis 0 Report post Posted August 14, 2006 Hey LotC, for some Deadwood love, check out the link to my blog in my sig. I think David Milch is easily the best writer in television (I love Ed Burns, too, but it includes several films). If you've seen some of Milch's interviews, and then watch some Deadwood episodes with a little more care, you can see how unbelievably deep the show is. Anybody know if Mary is Langriche's wife? Also, if anybody belongs in Deadwood it's Omar avenging the death of O'Dell.
Lord of The Curry 0 Report post Posted August 15, 2006 Wee-Bay from The Wire showed up on Entourage on Sunday, not sure if anybody notices/cares but goddamnit I did. Franklin Terrace what!
Guest guerillagenius Report post Posted August 15, 2006 Omar from The Wire was on Alias early on in Season 4. I marked out.

Lord of The Curry 0 Report post Posted August 15, 2006 I think Darthtiki was spot-on about Entourage's finale this year. I could see Ari calling Vince and Eric into his office after a screening of I Wanna Be Sedated and only saying two words: "Oscar buzz". Fade to credits. Hawk 34 0 Report post Posted August 15, 2006 Something that interests/amuses me about HBO is that they seem to use alot of the same actors for every single show. Pretty much 90% of the cast from over the years on OZ either end up on other HBO shows as a main character or bit part (that is, if they aren't already on the various L&O's). I can't even watch Rescue Me and not think Ryan O' Riley is banging Tommy Gavin's wife.
Darthtiki 0 Report post Posted August 16, 2006 I think Darthtiki was spot-on about Entourage's finale this year. I could see Ari calling Vince and Eric into his office after a screening of I Wanna Be Sedated and only saying two words: "Oscar buzz". Fade to credits. I don't think it will be after a screening but after the announcement of the project. The first 2 or 3 episodes next season I could see taking place in New York, during the shoot and the film getting release in midseason with the culmination of next season being the Oscars. Spicy McHaggis 0 Report post Posted August 16, 2006 You just KNOW the writers are already dreaming about the “raging-Oscar-after-party” episode.
Black Lushus 0 Report post Posted August 16, 2006 by all rights, if that's the route they go, that really should be the SERIES finale...no? on the other hand, they could have it go out with the boys returning home broke and getting normal jobs...but who wants to end this series on a down note?
Lord of The Curry 0 Report post Posted August 16, 2006 I doubt the MPAAS would ever allow Entourage to film on location at the show.
Darthtiki 0 Report post Posted August 16, 2006 AMPAS may not allow them to use footage from the actual telecast, but they would shoot at the Kodak Theater (which holds the oscars) at least for externals and build an alternate universe oscar set and chances are HBO would pony up for the rights for usage of the oscar likeness. I would be shocked if AMPAS didn't allow for this.
Lt. Al Giardello 0 Report post Posted August 17, 2006 I hope Seth Green returns before the season ends.
Lord of The Curry 0 Report post Posted August 17, 2006 Agreed. An Anchorman-esque brawl between various celeb entourages would be amazing.

Coffin Surfer 0 Report post Posted August 21, 2006 "RIP Whitney Conway Ellsworth. " Fucking tragic Deadwood, didn't see that coming.
Spaceman Spiff 0 Report post Posted August 21, 2006 Well, you had to figure any non-historical figures were at the top of the "Dead Cocksuckers" list, and Ellsworth was 1 of the biggest (male) names on the list (Adams being the other, but they need him for the main event). Poor guy.
iggymcfly 0 Report post Posted August 21, 2006 Fuck that was an awesome episode of Entourage. Why does it have to be the season finale already? It was like they were really going nowhere all season, and now that there's finally a good storyline, we won't even have time to enjoy it.
Lord of The Curry 0 Report post Posted August 21, 2006 I could the "big angle" to finish the season be Vince firing Ari after getting pissed off over the fuck-up regarding Bob and the script. I'd be curious to know how this episode links to the whole "It's all about Marc Walbergs life" thing. Like if he had a chance to star in a huge biopic about somebody and then it got sold to a studio that had it out for him.
Darthtiki 0 Report post Posted August 21, 2006 I'd be shocked if Ari gets canned, seeing as Piven is up for an emmy. Secondly, last year they teased Vince bailing on Aquaman and then he didn't, so what I see is Ari getting Vince the Ramones piece and possibly A2 in order to save his contract with Vince, but I will say expect next week that the meeting will be with Terrance. Guest Ninja Report post Posted August 22, 2006 Amazing Entourage last Sunday. Drama is the fucking star of this show now. Not sure how many episodes are left, but the next one is called "Sorry, Ari"and is described as, "Vince and the guys evaluate new opportunities with the help of Drama's point system. Ari scrambles to save the Ramones project (and himself) from getting the axe." Looks like the Ari getting fired theories could be happening.
Darthtiki 0 Report post Posted August 23, 2006 But then what happens with the character if he gets fired? You really have Vince and co. doing their thing during most of the show and then just cut to meanwhile at Miller/Gold it's the Adventures of Ari and Lloyd, it makes for bad television. Ari and Entourage are a symbiotic relationship, yes you can dump Ari but again considering Piven is the one getting all the critcal praise (read: Emmy nod) it would be a dumb move for the PTB to write out the character unless I missed something in the trades saying Piven wants out. And as for the A2 thing, yes Gyllenhaal was cast but chances are that the film would still be in pre-production and a cast change is indeed possible even through the early stages of principal photography the precedent being Back to the Future where originally they started principle with Eric Stoltz in the Marty McFly role.
