Ann Coulter attacks 9/11 widows

Recommended Posts

Yeah, we've had Ann Coulter threads before, but she's really outdone herself this time.

Coulter Blasts Sept. 11 Widows in Book

NEW YORK — The group of outspoken Sept. 11 widows who pushed for the commission to investigate the attacks are "self-obsessed" and act "as if the terrorist attacks happened only to them," conservative author Ann Coulter charges in her new book.

Coulter appeared on NBC's "Today" show on Tuesday, marking the release of "Godless: The Church of Liberalism" and reiterated her stance, saying the women used their grief "to make a political point."

In her book, Coulter said, "I've never seen people enjoying their husbands' deaths so much."

The women are Kristen Breitweiser, Lorie Van Auken, Mindy Kleinberg and Patty Casazza of New Jersey. Coulter refers to them as the "Witches of East Brunswick," the New Jersey town where two of them live.

"Having my husband burn alive in a building brought me no joy," Van Auken told the Daily News in Wednesday's editions in response to Coulter.

"She sounds like a very disturbed, unraveled person," Breitweiser said.

I doubt any of these women think 9/11 only happened to them, and everyone has to admit the families of 9/11 victims were hit the hardest by the tragedy. Saying they've enjoyed their husbands deaths is really going too far. These 4 women have incurred Coulter's wrath because they've been critical of the Bush's administrations handling of terrorism. Rather than respectfully disagreeing with their conclusions and defending the Bush administration's policies, Coulter is attacking their motives and calling them names. The media needs to stop treating this woman as if she speaks for the right. All she's doing is damaging her side.

This woman has no fucking soul, does she? I'd love to see her say this shit in front of somebody who lost someone on 9/11.

It's times like this I'm glad MikeSC is banned.

I think, for alot of people on the current Right, she really does speak for them. The victims of 9-11 have been so disgraced in the nearly 5 years since that day by this administration that Ann Coulter fits the bill well as their spokesperson. For a block of people in this country the opinion holds that Dick Cheney is a true Patriot, and anyone who disagrees is a Terrorist...including those who actually lost family/friends on 911.

Her tactics are not exclusive to the right though. 2 years ago, everyone was rushing out to see Fahrenheit 9/11, most of which was lies and unsupported assertions. Its just that people like Coulter, Michelle Malkin, and (to a lesser extent) Sean Hannity get to maintain a level of political credibility even though their entire arsenal of discussion consists of lies and name calling. I'm not advocating Coulter's right to free speech be taken away, just pointing out that she's now given herself enough rope to hang herself with, and its time for the media to quit treating her like anything other than someone who deserves to be ridiculed.

Someone should just create a channel for people like Bill o Reilly, Ann Coulter, and Sean Hannity to squeal at people...

I'm just surprised MMalkin doesn't have her own show there, yet.

She's photogenic enough.

Her and Coulter, one hour, trying to out right each other.

Ratings.

Funny thing-She's been on Hannity and Colmes, and on O'Reilly, and from what I saw, even they seem to think she's crazy. Just look at the expression on Hannity's face on the episode were she flipped out on Colmes. You can tell he's thinking "Damn, she's fucking psycho!"

A clip of that is available somewhere on the net, but I'm too lazy to look for it right now.

The problem is, people buy her books like crazy. Money talks.

See Bill O' Reilly bullying the son of a 9'11 victim, telling him 'his father would be ashamed of him.'

He had it coming. He sounded like CheesalaIsGood. I think he talked some shit about O'Reilly first, which got him rattled. O'Reilly is a hack, but you kinda expect him to get offended when someone calls him a war-mongering jerk with no credibility. He's not some NPR liberal who is gonna go "well it's very interesting that you feel that way" in a smooth dickish voice.

"You evoke 9/11 to justify domestic plunder and imperialistic aggression worldwide!"

Oh, so I caught a little bit of Coulter along with my favorite comedy duo, Hannity & Colmes, last night. This was priceless:

HANNITY: I share a lot of your views. But I want you to explain to everybody what is the foundation of Ann Coulter? Because a lot of people, when I mention your name to liberals they melt. You are like Alka-Seltzer in water. They bubble, fizz, give off their energy. You are the anti-Christ to them. Who is — what is the Ann Coulter? Where does your philosophy come from?

COULTER: Well, that's the toughest question I'm probably going to get on the book tour. In as much as I don't like talking about myself, I'm a Christian, and everything comes from being a Christian. Everything I do, I mean, from the interview that Alan was just reading from to Human Events.

I mean, I do think Christianity fuels all of my books, because you are called upon to behave in a certain way as a Christian, and that is to fight lies, injustice, cruelty, hypocrisy. That fuels everything.

Bullshit bitch. You are anything but a Christian, or at least a good Christian. My mom's Catholic (and a conservative" and she think's you are fucking evil.

I will admit though-If I had the chance, I'd probably hit it. She has awesome legs.

You basically hit the nail on the head right here. Ann Coulter has every right to express her whackjob opinions, but the problem with the corporate media like Fox/CNN/ABC etc....is that they legitimize her beliefs, while at the same time labeling anyone as extreme as her, except on the left, a "nut" Everytime Coulter has a new insane book to promote, here come all the networks to whore her out.

Also, Michelle Malkin is well on her way to ousting Coulter one of these days.

An actual journalist could handle something like that without calling the kid a disgrace to his father or whatever.

I'd tell her if she went down, she could only lick my left nut, not the right. Just for the look on her face.

I'm sure I've said this a million times before, but the bolded part of the quote is fine. Using it as your justification for what you do and how you act, especially with others morals and ideals, makes for a two headed animal that ultimately becomes self-righteous, as far as I'm concerned.

She's damaging the fuck out of the right's rep as far as I'm concerned. Right or wrong, there's always such as thing as tact.

AAAAAAAAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAAAAA!!!

that's the funniest load a shit i've ever read. Christiany was FOUNDED and PERPETUATED thru lies, injustice, cruelty, and hypocrisy.

the only reason anyone listens to this cunt at all is becasue she's "attractive". and to be perfectly honest her "attractiveness" is immediately negated whenever she opens her mouth (of course that can be said of most women. :D ).

She thinks she's far prettier than she is.

And with her outright cruelty and men-spiritedness, she she's a very ugly person.

She's so fucking smug in her column, but whenever I've ever seen her on TV debating at ALL, or asked simply to back herself up, she balks and sputters.

I forget what show she was on but, she was asked to back up one of her statements, which was aprox: the only difference between the cold war and the war on terror is you couldn't smell a communist when he sat next to you on a bus.

The host simply asked her what she meant by this. Did she mean Arab people smelled bad (of course she did) and she just hemmed and hawed. It was fucking embarassing.

You're all jealous of the lovely Ann Coulter.

She's badass. And tells you pussies how it really is. Plus, she's a super hot older lady.
