Sounds good. It also sounds like they are going to try and rebuild Monty as a world title opponent/feud with Joe. I like the sound of that one already.

I agree. If they start a monster Monty push now, Joe/Monty could have the type of heat Steiner and Joe have now come say Slammiversary 07, or maybe even BFG. They gotta get Monty some wins over names though. The squash parade is not going to impress anybody in 2006. Joe's wins along his streak were all over people that he was at least competitive with, and it made him look better because of it.

Here's hoping that sometime in the near future they bump up the time for this.

And here's hoping the reports of what is going to happen tonight turns out well on TV.

B.G.'s JR impersonations always make me laugh. Is it just me though, or is the crowd really dead tonight?

It's not just you. Most of them seem like they just went in to get out of the heat.

Monty Brown is back to having squash matches, the Naturals had a training montage with Shane Douglas....looks like they studied the Ron Simmons tapes, AMW's surprise attack was funny cause they were afraid of the pyro, Jim Cornette is a huge improvement as the new GM and I forgot to mention that Eric Young was AWESOME as usual with his character development and Jay Lethal & Sabin should be a regular tag team.

Joe locking on the choke at the end was awesome. I hope Steiner isn't the one that's gonna break the streak though.

Liked the Sting/Christian segment. Nice edge to both of them. This was the Christian I liked.

AJ Styles shouldn't front-tuck.

I liked Douglas yelling at the Naturals to not kick out because it spends energy. A tiny touch of psychology there.

Cornette: "I'm not just going to hand the belt to a son in law"

Well yeah, but you are handing it right back to the head booker.

I am still kind of irked that Jarrett retains the belt. With all this power Cornette supposedly has, he should just say the belt is vacated and he should have made the fatal fourway match for the title, and because Jarrett cheated, he is excluded from the match. That would have made the fans happy.

FYI:

TNA Impact last Thursday (6/29) drew another 1.1 rating with a 1.3 in the male 18-49 demographic and a 1.4 among the male 18-34 demographic and 1.4 million viewers overall.

Does anyone think Joe will win the fatal 4 way and then beat Jarrett . that seems to be what they are building to. But it is kinda lame to have him with the title again. christian wasnt too bad a schamp, I mean he had only one real feud while champ.

They coulda transitioned Christian to heel while he was till champ, through a feud with Sting. Then you build to Joe/Christian. Wasn't Christian undefeated in TNA too until King of the Mountain?

It certainly appears that way after consulting the win/loss records.

Another enjoyable hour of content from the TNA gang.

Especially liked:

-Joe looking totally bad ass on the ramp when he was annouced as being in the four way.

-Joe choking Steiner.

-Lethal and Sabin as a team.

-The whole story of Eric trying his best not to get fired, stopping Team Canada from cheating was allot of fun.

Not so great:

-No Senshi follow up this week. Not the best way to start off a championship reign. I gladly would have taken a Senshi squash over a Brown squash.

The four way seems very intreguing, the rest of the Victory Road line up thus far leaves me feeling disinterested.
