I'm going to assume that Sylvain is going to keep getting stuck with the "evil French-Canadian" gimmick. Although I thought that when he stated talking about "night life" they were going to go with shots of Canadian strip clubs.

I've been caught in the WWE "sports entertainment" trap. Someone help me.

Holy fuck it looked like Finaly closed that door pretty hard on Lashley. Looked like his hand was in between the ring and door too.

But that was a very nice spot, he got him just before he exited. Never seen that done so closely.

I must say JBL is starting to live up to his potential as an announcer. Once he gets completely removed from his feuds with Rey and Lashley, he'll be gold. He does a good job putting guys over and being neutral enough to rip the stupid shit to pieces (Vito gets burned 5 or 6 times a show by him). He's like Tazz only with the balls (or job security) to shoot a little.

Although despite JBL's comedic talents, he was on the receiving end of possibly the SD zinger of the year, as highlighted in my sig. Even he couldn't help but laugh at that one.

All in all, not as strong of a show as in recent weeks. With a such a thin roster, you have to book to perfection, and this wasn't it. Helms/Crazy was decent given its limitations with time and the finish. Finlay/Hardy was alright, but they really need to kill off the leprechaun. Booker/Lashley was the worst of their recent matches as the cage limited, rather than helped them.

As for the non-important stuff... I actually liked Henry calling Chavo a "leecher of the Guerrero name." Anyone who picks on Chavo deserves some praise. He also called him "no good" and "worthless." While true, that was very hypocritical on Henry's part. He's been booked extremely well lately, but you know what they say about polishing turds...I'd ask why the World champ was only involved in a pointless beatdown to get an upper midcarder over, but it's Rey and I know no one cares about him... Why was Gunner pulling jobber duty? He was doing fine as a midcarder. Kash and Noble vs. London and Kendrick should be good when it happens.

Gunner's jobbed for the past couple of weeks because he's being shipped back to OVW for some stupid fucking reason.

JBL losing his shit and Simon Dean gently covering Vito up is actually pretty funny.

yea, I love dhis rant about working hard for years to get in wwe and be on tv and here we have a guy in a dress, and a stooge on a scooter.

Talking about the leprechaun and saying "There's a whole world under there, Ive seen it" remind me of the simpsons and the "land of the jockeys" then , they have continuity of JBL telling that he knows the guy then the little guy throws JBL a beer. Great line "Don't tell H and R, I'm gonna drink on the job"

the cage match was kinda boring, b t maybe its cuz Im gettign tired of Lashley vs Booker EVERY Week. It would be ok if this was the blowoff after weeks of interference prevented Lash from beating Booker, but this is the THIRD time in a month that Lash has beat him. Hope it ends soon.

No program for the world champ, how great. will he even defend at GAB?

Unless were building to Batista/Rey/Lashley vs Booker/Henry/Finlay or something.

I'd laugh if Booker got a world title shot after jobbing about 10 times to Bobby Lashley. I'd laugh even more if Booker actually won the title. Let's face it, there is going to have to be some kind of transition guy to Batista.

SD just needs a major angle though. There's just no there there in regards to SD right now. It's not about anything. Wasn't UT going to reform the Ministry or something?

I loved how the video package covered up this fact and made it seem like Lashley had never beaten Booker. Now that's revisionist history!

Well Eddie jobbed to Rey, what six times last year and he got a title shot at Batista so its not too much of a stretch.

I'll bet you 5 bucks that its becuse the writers couldn't come up with some chessy gimmick for him. On the bright side, he can now stop using the stupid "Gunner Scott" name.

Maybe I was hearing things, but is the Great Khali/Undertaker match at GAB a "Pajama Prison Match" ?

No its a POON-JOBBY prison match...... make the most out of that joke as you can. It will get old soon.

Batista/Henry is obvious for The Great American Bash, but Henry is attacking and still feuding with Rey each week. I bet it ends up a Triple Threat at the PPV. And Batista can pin Henry (the man who cost him the title) while Rey can still look good (crazy, I know) losing his title without getting pinned. Then they can either do Batista/Rey or Batista/Booker at SummerSlam. Or maybe when Angle returns from his "vacation", he can jump to Smackdown and face Batista at SummerSlam.

I think you're exactly right and I hope he's back in a few months as Brent Albright.

JBL was once again on form. Lashley/Booker could've been better. Super Crazy/Helms was good, but a bit too short. Hardy/Finlay was the best match of the night.

An ok show, not as good as the last few weeks.

its cuz Kahli is from the "Poonjabi jungles of India" but yea still sounds funny.

But italso makes little sense for Kahli to challenge Taker after cleanly beating him.

---Smackdown has completely turned into the JBL show. I've never seen an announcer become almost the entire show like that. When it's over, you don't remember the matches, but you remember the commentary.
