PPV Plans and Future Tours

Recommended Posts

1. Via PM or this thread, lemme know your PPV plans. Even if I know them already, tell me again. :P

2. So the Fictional World Tour isn't going over as swimmingly as I'd hoped. Live and learn, I suppose.

Even so, I do think going on themed tours, like the Hell or High Water Southern Tour, is better than "random midwestern arena, random midwestern arena, random midwestern arena". What do you guys think?

Do you like the idea of themed tours? What are some tours we should consider doing in the future? Go as wild (or mild :P) as you like.

And no, we're not taking nominations for Official PPV Theme Song this time.

You'll understand when the time comes.

theme tours are good

PPV I still don't know about. which is bad.

Theme should totally be She Don't Use Jelly by The Flaming Lips, because I think it's a good song. Terrible PPV theme? Of course. But I still want it.

I. For the PPV

1. I need my damn pony shot match thing. lolz

2. I'd be up for defending the hardcore beltzor, maybe, like, in an arthropod death match, where you dip your hands in honey and then in some kind of insect or arachnid (Has to have some kind of stinging/biting apparatus), lollerz.

"OH NOES, FIRE ANTS!"

"FUCK THAT, MILIPEDES, THEM SHITS IS SCARY AS FUCK!"

II. As for other tours

1. How about a Bill & Ted's Tour, where, like, we get a time machine, and, like, start back in the day (the 70s, lollerz) and progress through time. Give people a chance to bust out their Gorbachev jokes and whatnot. lolz.

2. Gumby Tour, wherein we Gumby slide into books and whatnot. Have a match on top of Moby Dick. Inferno match with special guest ref, Frankenstein's monster. lawlz.

3. Tom's Kickass Idea tour. We take Tom's kickass Halloween show idea (Say the match is Akira vs Landon, two people are randomly assigned to write, so, Sly writes as Akira and MVS as Landon, and nobody knows who is writing as whom, for example), and we do that for a while for changingupness. Different folk each time (However, title matches could be a problem). lahllerz.

More maybe later, but probably not, McLolz.

Also: TRICHINOSIS LIKE A WHORE'S BANJO!

I wasn't aware there was a problem with the regular World Tour.

There was no problem with the regular World Tour. We'll be doing it again next year, sans the Fictional second half.

I'm just looking for ideas for the other nine months of the year. Canadian Tour, Southern Tour, etc.

Well, while I think that Gumby is a little over the top, I have to say that I was a lot more into the literary stop (stops?) on the Fictional World Tour than I was the video game/pop culture stops. So, if we have to do it again, let's have more books and fewer video games.

Somene should pick like, the 10 best matched in fed history, and we do all shows from the location as that match.

... that's a damn good idea, actually.

We could take a step further - 10 best PPV's in fed history, and go through them in ascending order, so the shows leading up to the upcoming Pay Per View are from the locations of the 10th best PPV, 9th best PPV, 8th best PPV, etc. And when we have our Pay Per View, it will come from the location of our #1 Best PPV.

1) Depends on the outcomes of Lockdown and Smarkdown, we shall see what happens when they happen

2) Sadly the fictional world tour is going over like a fart in church, cause I liked it and I have fun with it but milage varies.

I like the tour idea with each tour ending in a PPV at the culmination of the tour.

I'd love to see a "Time Travel Tour" just for the hell of it - this is fantasy, this is imaginary so why not use it? I mean an SWF event in the Coliseum with Julius Caesar himself watching? fun stuff

All made possible with our Frost Brand Time Machine (there is nothing they can't invent) *thumbs up*

But well with the response to the fictional tour this probably won't happen - and shouldn't be the next tour since that's the "Road to Genesis" and all

I'm all for tours, but occasionally. Once in awhile the SWF, as any global-sized promotion would, will have to trudge back through those random midwestern venues.

The fictional world tour is silly. Yeah, it's a fantasy league, but I like to take my fantasy with some realism. Of course, I'm not active, so it matters not what I think.

Drea, check your inbox here in a sec... or when you wake up, whatever, for a message from me.

Sadly, the PPV will be Austin Sly's last show. That'll be explained in a second, but if anyone would like to give him one last match that'd be find with me. Otherwise, don't bother and just let me slide into oblivion as I usually do.

Only two (maybe just one if the PPV isn't part of the fictional tour) more stop where it can happen, you'll just have to stick around for those two and see :D

And with Austin Sly leaving. . . dare I wish for it? *crosses fingers and hopes* ohpleaseohpleaseohpleasecomebackcrimsonskull!!

Nothing wrong with a bit of touring. Maybe have one PPV cycle as a European tour, then one or two back in the US. Then another one for a Canadian/Mexican tour, and another one or two back in the US.

But anyway - Toxx vs J3 for the World Title, standard singles. Yeah, that's it.

Yes we need a European tour! - I've read last years European tour and you even went to Denmark, so a 10 stop European tour would be cool - althought I guess to some Bulgaria may be harder to write than the MST3K show since MST3K is probably more well known to Americans ;)

I want to see a show from way up north when it's freezing f'ing col Ice Storm!!
