So Meltzer said the dude he was going to fight tested positive for steroids and now know one knows.

Also, is this fight available for PPV? My friends and I want to watch it.

Because Bas Rutten owns the world.

Also, they should allow Rutten to cut promos about what he's going to do before the fight as well.

It is available, WFA is the name of the event.

Might as well make this the official thread I guess. Nobody really cared to since there hasn't been much interest.

The card seems to be one-sided fights (Miller, Salaverry, Lyoto), and fights that should be one-sided (Ricco, Rampage). That's the appeal for me, seeing my favourites actually get good again.

Rampage will probably be back with a force, but not Ricco. Fucking fatass.

Yeah Rampage "found" religion, somehow lost his mean streak.

WES SIMZ~!!! That is fan fucking tastic. HE WILL DESTROY THIS WHATS HIS NAME FELLOW~!! HAMMER HOUZE 4 LYFEEEEEEEEE!~

Joking aside, i'll admitted i've only saw a few Bas fights from old school UFC...and i've just saw Sims a hand full of times so how do these dudes match up?? I'm aware of who Bas is by the way and his significance in the history of MMA, but i've heard some people say alot of Pancrase was worked and I never went out of my way to see any of it...

I'm picking Lindland over Rampage via the decision. Machida over White via pummel, Miller over Sincaid via twistin rd 1, Salavery over Art via twisting rd 1, Rodriguez over Waterman decision in what should be an absolutely tremendous fight (sarcasm), the rest of the fights i'm not so sure about and i'm too lazy to check fight records to make educated guesses. You guys don't do picks contests around here?? Any particular reason? Would it be cool for me to start one for future events?

I am gonna pass on doing a picks contest for this WFA as I could honestly care less about most of these fights...however I will start with the UFC 62 picks contest as soon as I see the final card posted (UFC.tv only has 2 matches listed)...I will explain the rules when I start the thread but most of you should know the drill (10 points possible, 5 for picking the correct winner, 3 for correct method, 2 for correct round)

The concenus at Sherdog out of the event seems to be Lyoto is boring. From what I've read, White came in and nearly got knocked out so for the rest of the fight he stayed pretty inactive, and Lyoto never engaged either.

He may have skills, but there was no way he would live up to the mythic hype that had generated around him inless he killed White in about two seconds. Even then somepeople would be calling him a letdown.

Bas beating that guy by LEGKICKS is so awesome. It's almost like he just decided he wasn't even going to try anything, just lowkick him into submission, and it worked.

The only thing Lyoto has going for him is a win over Rich Franklin and a (split?) decision over a much smaller Hilo boy we all know and love.

Well I didn't watch the PPV so I would have no idea.....and on top of that I'm not a Lindland fan.

But I probably shouldn't argue with you because you'll just challenge me to a fight and then Thai kick me in the head or something.

LINDLAND WUZ ROBBED~! HUZZAH~!

*waits for Dramamara or whatever his name is to come in declaring Rampage/Lindland was the worse desicion ever*

Personally, the fight should have been a draw, but I can understand a Jackson decision. Lindland won the first, Jackson the second, and the third was probably a draw, but Jackson did finish pretty strong with the elbows, busting Matt open. He also connected with a pretty stiff jab, but Matt did have the guillotine sunk in fairly tight.

No qualms with the decision, though, great effort by both guys.
