Alro Posted July 24, 2006 Report Posted July 24, 2006 There was some interest in seeing some DSW posted here, so here we go. Like I said in the OVW thread, I don't know how much longer I'm going to keep capping DSW, but I'll post everything I do cap here. This show is sometimes hard to follow. CSS is months behind on DSW tapings. We're just now at the end of April. Sometimes the shows are spliced together, too. You'll get matches from multiple tapings, so commentators change and references to current storylines change. The only storylines I can seem to follow are DSW announcer Bill DeMott is feuding with The Gymini and Palmer Cannon has "The Network", consisting of himself, The Great Khali, Matt Striker, Krissy Vaine (I think) and up until two weeks ago the Freakin' Deacon, and he is trying to piss everyone off. References to the tag team tournament are sometimes made, but I've seen no brackets or anything like that. Derrick Neikirk is the DSW Champion (at this point in the tapings). He is also part of Team Elite with Mike Knox. The other top tag teams are High Impact and The Gymini. I've not seen the DSW Title defended yet, so I don't know who they consider to be their top singles stars. Matches from DSW on CSS from July 23, 2006 Bill DeMott & Freakin' Deacon vs. The Gymini http://www.megaupload.com/?d=2IX710PW High Impact (Tony Santorelli & Mike Taylor) vs. Eric Perez & Montel Vontavious Porter http://www.megaupload.com/?d=R2ACHY30 Mark Jindrak vs. Mike Knox http://www.megaupload.com/?d=Y6DSDSD8 Ray Geezy (Ray Gordy) vs. Danny Gimondo (Danny Inferno in OVW) http://www.megaupload.com/?d=PQGE12UJ Francisco Ciatso vs. Onyx http://www.megaupload.com/?d=39FNY3W9
HollywoodSpikeJenkins Posted July 25, 2006 Report Posted July 25, 2006 Are Myers & Matthews and Mason Raige down there?
Smartly Pretty Posted July 26, 2006 Report Posted July 26, 2006 Trust me when I tell you Deep south is not as good as OVW, or even close.
Alro Posted July 26, 2006 Author Report Posted July 26, 2006 DSW is far inferior to OVW. They both seem to have the same amount of guys that could get called up any time, but the booking and production values in DSW are shit. I know that The Neighborhoodie in OVW will probably never get called up, but he's been booked decently and I kinda care about him. Most of the DSW guys just show up for a match and there is no real character or storyline development for anyone except for The Gymini/Bill DeMott stuff and the Palmer Cannon stuff. Like I said, I don't know how much longer I'll keep capping it. That being said, from here on out I plan to post the full show in two parts and extract the TV main event for people only wanting to see that. I'll probably be doing the same for OVW unless there is a solid undercard match that warrants being seperated from the full show. Breaking the shows dowin into individual matches takes a shitload of time.
Placebo Effect Posted July 31, 2006 Report Posted July 31, 2006 Awesome. Thanks for posting this. I love watching bad indy wrestlin, and DSW seems to be just that.
Placebo Effect Posted July 31, 2006 Report Posted July 31, 2006 I uploaded all the matches to YouTube. http://www.youtube.com/profile?user=conley48
Alro Posted August 2, 2006 Author Report Posted August 2, 2006 DSW on CSS Part 1 (78.5 mb) http://www.megaupload.com/?d=GWG7QNPI Tommy Suede vs. Eric Perez Tony Santorelli vs. Cru Jones Roughhouse O'Reilly vs. Bradley Jay DSW on CSS Part 2 (64.7 mb) http://www.megaupload.com/?d=L2KOE0VC Mike Taylor vs. Lawrence Tyler Heath Miller & Kenny Omega vs. Team Elite (Derrick Neikirk & Mike Knox) Bill DeMott & Freakin' Deacon vs. The Gymini Another shitty show from DSW this week. The thing that gets me the most about DSW is how little production values go into the show. OVW isn't anywhere near as slick as RAW or Smackdown, but it looks better than your average indy with a local TV show. The biggest flub this week was the interview with Tony Santorelli. He said that his partner Mike Taylor was out this week and during the last half hour who should have a singles match? His parter, Mike Taylor. Granted Taylor's match was taped two months after the rest of the show, but you should have enough sense to know what is going on during the show if you are piecing things together. As far was the DSW guys in ECW, they are not that bad. They should have kept Knox and Neikirk together. There was no sense in messing with a decent team. O'Reilly could do what Knox is doing in ECW and things would have been fine. By and large, though, DSW is terrible and I don't know why they opened it.
Jericholic82 Posted August 2, 2006 Report Posted August 2, 2006 I uploaded all the matches to YouTube. http://www.youtube.com/profile?user=conley48 cool thanks for that AH I see Demott is still using his old WWE theme (th eone from his semi-push before injury in early 03)
Jericholic82 Posted August 2, 2006 Report Posted August 2, 2006 wait a minute, Gymini got sent down to DSW? no wonder they havent been on SD sorry I havent followed DSW
FroGG_NeaL Posted August 3, 2006 Report Posted August 3, 2006 So most of these guys that get the call-up are going to ECW for the most part? Did I read that somewhere?
Alro Posted August 3, 2006 Author Report Posted August 3, 2006 Mike Knox is the only one that has made it onto TV. I'm pretty sure I've read that Derrick Neikirk and Roughhouse O'Reilly are teaming at house shows. Not all of the call ups in ECW are coming from DSW. Punk, Roadkill, Thorn (though I've not seen him in a long time) and Snow have all come from OVW. Obviously OVW is sending up the better wrestlers.
Alro Posted August 8, 2006 Author Report Posted August 8, 2006 I barely watched any of this. Standard DSW crap. I think I've got one more match to cap for this week's show. Gymini Jake & Lex Lovett vs. Eric Perez & MVP (joined in progress) http://www.megaupload.com/?d=9WH2FWZP High Impact vs. Cocky Siaki & Bradley Jay http://www.megaupload.com/?d=B4SMSC0S Tommy Suede vs. Cru Jones http://www.megaupload.com/?d=K309G4H3
HollywoodSpikeJenkins Posted August 8, 2006 Report Posted August 8, 2006 Is Cocky Siaki former X-Champion, Sonny Siaki?
Alro Posted August 8, 2006 Author Report Posted August 8, 2006 Yes. He signed a developmental deal with WWE in December, I think.
Placebo Effect Posted August 8, 2006 Report Posted August 8, 2006 I uploaded the matches from the first part of the second show Alro posted. Roughhouse O'Reilly vs. Bradley Jay - http://youtube.com/watch?v=N82MGfLNrQQ Tony Santorelli vs. Cru Jones - http://youtube.com/watch?v=daJu4fpenNg Tommy Suede vs. Eric Perez - http://youtube.com/watch?v=JowKobLDm18
