Guest NYankees Posted August 5, 2006 Report Posted August 5, 2006 You know, I'm glad the Phils don't have Bobby Abreu's awful defense anymore. I mean, no other outfielder would allow Orlando Hernandez to triple, right? Especially one that hustles and runs into walls. A lot of good THAT did. Abreu threw out Tejada at second base today. Jorge Juiced one to make it a 5-4 Yankees lead in the top of the ninth.
Guest StylesMark Posted August 5, 2006 Report Posted August 5, 2006 Jorge hit that ball to Utaw Street. I'd imagine Rivera is now in the pen. Papi will have to be clutch again, some other day.
Guest NYankees Posted August 5, 2006 Report Posted August 5, 2006 Chase Utley is 0 for 4 so far tonight.
strummer Posted August 5, 2006 Report Posted August 5, 2006 Apparently Michael Kay went batshit on his radio show today after he declared the Red Sox "dead". Then when callers tried to call him on it he went on a rant about Nazis and Slave owners. Anyone hear this?

Yankees win 5-4 over the Orioles.
EVIL~! alkeiper Posted August 5, 2006 Report Posted August 5, 2006 Utley's hit streak is dead unless the Mets tie the game.
Brett Favre Posted August 5, 2006 Report Posted August 5, 2006 I heard him screaming, but I was talking on the phone. Well, damn. The Mets screw everything up. He's 0 for 5. Ryan Howard makes them pay.

Yankees win 5-4 over the Orioles. That was really weird hearing Singleton go solo. But he did do a good job.
Brett Favre Posted August 5, 2006 Report Posted August 5, 2006 It was supposed to be Singleton and Paul O'Neill, but there were some weather problems for Paul, and he couldn't make the game. It's not because Kay got fired.
TheDevilAndGodAreRagingInsideMe Posted August 5, 2006 Report Posted August 5, 2006 How/Why would Kay be fired for something he said abou the Red Sox on his radio show? That just makes no sense.
Guest NYankees Posted August 5, 2006 Report Posted August 5, 2006 How/Why would Kay be fired for something he said abou the Red Sox on his radio show? That just makes no sense. I was guessing because someone said he went batshit crazy during his show and Singleton was solo tonight. I put two and two together and guessed.
Guest Felonies! Posted August 5, 2006 Report Posted August 5, 2006 So, Toronto Blue Jays. Why did you roll over and die.
strummer Posted August 5, 2006 Report Posted August 5, 2006 The Kay thing is from the Fire Joe Morgan Blogspot

Haven't listened to it yet myself but here it is thanks to firejoemorgan.com http://firejoemorgan.com/MichaelKay1.wma
treble Posted August 5, 2006 Report Posted August 5, 2006 So, Toronto Blue Jays. Why did you roll over and die. They want to help all the teams that no one likes make the playoffs.
Guest NYankees Posted August 5, 2006 Report Posted August 5, 2006 Nobody has mentioned that the Big Eunich has gone two starts now without getting a strikeout and that he gave up a homerun to a Has Been/Fucking Scrub/Never Will Be/Hasn't Played in Baseball in 3 years and hasn't hit a homerun in 3 years tonight.
Guest NYankees Posted August 5, 2006 Report Posted August 5, 2006 So, Toronto Blue Jays. Why did you roll over and die. They want to help all the teams that no one likes make the playoffs. When does Gibbons get fired? The Blue Jays have just given up on the season. They were supposed to be rolling 2 weeks ago when they won 3 out of 4 against the Yankees in Toronto.
treble Posted August 5, 2006 Report Posted August 5, 2006 He's safe for the year. If they suck next year, though, he'll be gone.
Guest StylesMark Posted August 5, 2006 Report Posted August 5, 2006 That Michael Kay shit was pretty off the wall...
TheDevilAndGodAreRagingInsideMe Posted August 5, 2006 Report Posted August 5, 2006 That Michael Kay shit was pretty off the wall... How do I play it? I click it, and it leads me to a blank webpage, I try to download it and it doesn't do anything. I was listening to the show today but either was in the shower during the big blow up or had tuned out by then.
Guest Smues Posted August 5, 2006 Report Posted August 5, 2006 I just heard Bonds got ejected and the fans are pretending the stadium is a WCW arena. What happened?
Vern Gagne Posted August 5, 2006 Report Posted August 5, 2006 He was right about baseball etiquette. Bond is ejected, for arguing balls and strikes, and the Giant fans start throwing trash on the field. It took the Giants way to long to get someone between Bonds, and the umpire.
Guest Smues Posted August 5, 2006 Report Posted August 5, 2006 Damn I wish it was on ESPN. I hear it's pretty chaotic. Plus I'm also told Bonds is still sitting in the dugout despite being ejected.
Guest Felonies! Posted August 5, 2006 Report Posted August 5, 2006 Well that's because his cranium doesn't fit through the clubhouse door. Last time he got ejected they had to deploy the Jaws of Life.
vivalaultra Posted August 5, 2006 Report Posted August 5, 2006 My fucking God. The Astros-D'Backs game started at 8:30 and just ended at 12:30, and it didn't even go into extra innings. The Astros won 8-7. There was a total of 30 hits, about 25 walks...11 from the D-Backs pitching staff. Biggio, Berkman, Lamb, and Willy Taveras (!) hit homeruns for the Astros. Willy's wasn't cheap either. It was a no-doubt 400 foot homerun. Lidge flaked out in the 9th. After getting two outs, he walked two guys to load the bases. He got pulled and Wheeler came in. Wheeler walked in a run and got Carlos Quentin swingin'. With Clemens going tomorrow against some rook, hopefully the Astros can win. However, Clemens 2-4 record with a ridiculous 2.09 ERA would beg to differ.
Vampiro69 Posted August 5, 2006 Report Posted August 5, 2006 Michael Kay officially went off the deep end.
Precious Roy Posted August 5, 2006 Report Posted August 5, 2006 Way to stay on top of the fads, Tampa Bay Devil Rays! Maybe in 2012 you can have Mr. Pibb & Red Vines Night, too. WORST. JOKE. EVER.

I don't know... Well that's because his cranium doesn't fit through the clubhouse door. Last time he got ejected they had to deploy the Jaws of Life. This has gotta be up there.
Precious Roy Posted August 5, 2006 Report Posted August 5, 2006 yeah, but that first joke was crazy delicious
