jwest27 0 Report post Posted August 10, 2006 So I'm pretty sure the Rams aren't going to be any good this year, but hey, at least Martz is gone. Also, the new coach actually seems like he wants to run the ball.
Special K 0 Report post Posted August 10, 2006 Do people forget that he lost his offensive coordinator, and his best offensive weapon? "I don't need Randy Moss! Rollin' Rollin'..." /Throws 3 INTs /Throws 5 INTs /Sex boat /Gets his knee busted. Oh, I forgot, he did throw three TDs against the Saints. He's the shit. And I love C-Mart. He's a fuckin' stud. I don't know if he'll make the HALL He's 4th all-time rusher, and top ten rushing TDs. He just might squeak in.
Lt. Al Giardello 0 Report post Posted August 10, 2006 Why are people doubting that Curtis Martin get in? He has 10 straight years of 1000+ years, there's only one player who's done that, is the great Barry Sanders. He is 4th all time in rushing yards. If he don't get in on the 1st ballot, I will boycott the NFL personally.
Vern Gagne 0 Report post Posted August 11, 2006 Do people forget that Daunte Culpepper was horrible last year before the knee injury. Do people forget that he lost his offensive coordinator, and his best offensive weapon? The weapons he has in Miami >>>> The weapons he had in Minni after Moss. No doubt the Chambers and Brown are better than what the Vikings had. It still remains to be seen if Chambers can be that deep threat that Moss was. Daunte called himself a Jedi Knight. He was overconfident. He seems to be at his best, with a chip on his shoulder.

Lt. Al Giardello 0 Report post Posted August 11, 2006 Two series' in a preseason game against the Browns and he's BACK!!!! And his 1 series in the Raiders game. Seriously he looks alot more comfortable now, he is moving around alot better then he was last year. No more hernia. Hank Baskett is also impressing people, he's looked great. Your a Cowboys fan, so I don't take what you think seriously. See you in Week 5 BITCH.
UZI Suicide 0 Report post Posted August 11, 2006 It's preseason, it doesn't matter. That's not to say McNabb won't be good this year (although I'm not expecting anything too great), but if he's going to even be decent this year then he's kind of expected to do well in the preseason. UseTheSledgehammerUh 0 Report post Posted August 11, 2006 Prediction: T.O. will nurse another fake injury or be suspended for the Cowboys/Eagles game.
UZI Suicide 0 Report post Posted August 11, 2006 You'd have to be nursing one fake injury before you can have "another" one, and he doesn't have a fake injury.

Lt. Al Giardello 0 Report post Posted August 11, 2006 So what was up with the fight at Titans camp? Some player thought he could pick on LenDale White cus he was a rookie, so LenDale spit in his face, and ended up having to fight pretty much the whole team. LenDale stood his ground like a g tho. UZI Suicide 0 Report post Posted August 11, 2006 Don't be silly, Dawkins can't keep up with T.O. So what was up with the fight at Titans camp? Lendale White and some safety got into a fight and White spit on him.

NoCalMike 0 Report post Posted August 11, 2006 No one is questioning Donovan McNabb's skills. He is a veteran, and a proven QB, well proven enough anyway. It is the rest of the team that has question marks all over it. Oh and lets not forget that during the Eagles glory days, the NFC East overall was a horrid division, with the Skins/Cowboys/Giants regularly putting forth .500 records or worse. Now you actually expect the Eagles to make noise in this division when every other team has seemingly gotten better then they were last year, which the Eagles, besides getting rid of the cancer known as TO, are pretty much putting forth the same team. They will still be a tough team to play, especially at home, but I just don't see them finishing any better then third in the division, unless there are some FREAK injuries on the other teams. Oh and TO vs. Dawkins will be fun to watch......if TO survives his battle with Sean Taylor in Week 2 that is....

the pinjockey 0 Report post Posted August 11, 2006 The arguement though, is that by getting McNabb healthy they aren't putting out the same team as last year. He got hurt in game 1 and was never right. So they are essentially adding him to this year's team. I am looking on the positive side of this team right now, figuring aroun 10-6. There schedule early should conceivably let them get moving before hitting the brutal second half. They had an absolute nightmare season last year, from day 1, and were still 4-5 when McNabb called it a season. Not good but not the pits of the NFL either. Cheech Tremendous 0 Report post Posted August 11, 2006 The Eagles went to four straight NFC championship games with basically the same team they are putting out there this year. Sure, the rest of the division has gotten better, but they should absolutely be in the playoff hunt. Don't even look at last year, McNabb was hurt from the get-go. Well yeah, and I wouldn't expect them to go 0-6 vs. the NFC East either(As well I doubt the Skins duplicate their 5-1 division record), but still I don't think the Eagles have seen competition like this from their OWN DIVISION since maybe the early 90's. I am not even trying to say the Eagles will be a bad team, I just think that last year was their last year to take advantage of a division that was getting better, but still a season away from being great, and well McNabb got hurt, plus the TO fiasco, and that blew that all up. the pinjockey 0 Report post Posted August 11, 2006 I agree with that. It isn't going to be a cakewalk, like when they could win with James Thrash as a starter, for any of the teams. I know it is a copout and cliche, but honestly with the teams this close it really is going to come down to which team loses the most key players to injury. Lt. Al Giardello 0 Report post Posted August 11, 2006 Hank Baskett has really impressed me in the pre season so far. There's talks of making him a starter. Has there ever been an undrafted Rookie of the Year?
the pinjockey 0 Report post Posted August 11, 2006 I don't think it is talk at this point. He has been getting most of the reps with the 1s in camp and has played both games with the 1s so far. Unless Pinkston gets a miracle and is healed within the next two weeks, it looks to be Baskett's job.
