Guest slmon Report post Posted September 17, 2005 Taker's a strange animal. He has in ring chemistry with the downright weirdest guys. I would never think a Taker/RVD match would EVER be entertaining, but hey, those two work well together. Too bad they haven't wrestled each other since '02. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> ^^^ Ditto. I put it down to what RVD shared with Shawn in style - quick, (even more) acrobatic, good bumper. I was hoping that Taker would do a series with him - similar to what he's doing with Orton now - but, alas, RVD wasn't one their "golden boys."
Lord of The Curry 0 Report post Posted September 17, 2005 Is Orton ever going to use The Play of The Day again? It was called something different in WWE but fuck it. I remember he managed to fuck his shoulder up doing it and never really did it again. I'm kinda hoping he busts it out against Taker in the Casket Match, as I can only assume that this is where they're going with the feud.

The Mandarin 0 Report post Posted September 18, 2005 I bought it used from Microplay recently and was suprised to see a lot of indy and Japanese wrestlers put in as CAWs. Low Ki, M-Dogg 20, Kenta Kobashi, American Dragon. It was pretty nifty. First game I played in four years, I got OWNED by Dean Malenko playing as Jim Ross. Lord of The Curry 0 Report post Posted September 18, 2005 I had a pretty balls-out match between my CAW Benjamin and my CAW Benoit the other night. Benjamin by Exploder KO.
The Mandarin 0 Report post Posted September 18, 2005 I can't fucking win a match on that game to save my life, let alone win by knockout. I had Tazz in WWF Title Story Mode and just got decimated by Shane McMahon and Mideon three times straight.

Epic Reine 0 Report post Posted September 19, 2005 You know, I really did mark for The Juice in WCW... Juvi: "Finally...The Juice has come back to New York City!" Epic Reine 0 Report post Posted September 21, 2005 How do you think Palmer Cannon willbe introduced as a wrestler? I'm thinking that he'll have a fued with a popular face on Smackdown (Mysterio? Benoit maybe?) and keep screwing him over in matches and decisions and then wrestle him in a grudge match at a Smackdown PPV. Anyone else got scenerios? Lord of The Curry 0 Report post Posted September 21, 2005 Yeah. He doesn't wrestle and we're all happier for it.
SuperJerk 0 Report post Posted September 21, 2005 I understand why they changed the name of the show for publicity reasons, but there's something a little odd about seeing a show with the words "Friday Night" in the title being advertised for a Sunday night. Papacita 0 Report post Posted September 21, 2005 I think the actual size of the SD logo is the worst part of that poster. I mean, the tattoo idea is pretty creative, but with the fact that the SD's logo's displayed more prominently makes it appear as if they're advertising a Sunday night Smackdown rather than a PPV. Anyway, I hate how everytime WWE does a gimmick match they advertise it a "the most dangerous match in the history of our sport." I remember one year I swore they gave the same spiel for every other PPV. "The cage match is the most dangerous match in the history of our sport!" "Hell in a Cell is the most destructive force in wrestling history!" "The stretcher match is the most dangerous match ever!" "The Elimination chamber is where careers go to die!!" I'm just waiting for them to pull that sell on something like a bra and panties match.
Guest Ransome Report post Posted September 21, 2005 As we come up upon No Mercy 2005, it will have been two years since Stephanie McMahon has appeared on WWE TV (with the exception of a brief interview last year talking about favourite SD moments). As bad as WWE TV has been lately, I'm grateful Stephanie hasn't been cluttering up onscreen TV time, although, granted, her fingerprints have likely been all over many questionable writing choices. Will Stephanie ever play an onscreen role again? I have a feeling she'll return soon enough (am surprised she's adhered to the 'I Quit' stipulation for so long in the first place), but I imagine it's also only a matter of time before she conceives and gives birth to HHH's demonspawn. Lil' Bitch 0 Report post Posted September 22, 2005 As badly as things are right now according to some people, I do appreciate the fact that WWE TV hasn't been cluttered by the McMahons like they did in 2003.
