Vampiro69 Posted September 17, 2006 Report Posted September 17, 2006 Felonies, I like the new avatar.
Bruiser Chong Posted September 17, 2006 Report Posted September 17, 2006 You know, compared to his usual wisdom, "let's win one for Derrek" is actually pretty decent. Must be working. Cubs up 7-0 after an inning. Three homers, including Carlos Zambrano's fifth.
strummer Posted September 17, 2006 Report Posted September 17, 2006 of course the Mets aren't making it easy with clinching. Looks like they will have to wait till they get home.
UseTheSledgehammerUh Posted September 17, 2006 Report Posted September 17, 2006 Houston's pretty much mailed in this entire series, looking dead yesterday, throwing Lidge to the wolves, not being able to take a game the Phillies were giving to them in Game 1, and down today. Nice to have Houston not make it. Jerks broke my heart last year winning that WC on the first day. BTW, Howard hit #57.
Guest NYankees Posted September 17, 2006 Report Posted September 17, 2006 I love watching the Umpires SCREW the Yankees over. Coco Crisp was picked off and ran out of the base line but he was safe. Mark Loretta was struck out but it was called ball 4. Edit It is now 6-2 Red Sox. The Yankees got the final out twice on the Red Sox before they scored any runs but the Umps screwed them over. I love investing my time into watching a game to see the Red Sox get 5 outs in one inning.
randomguy Posted September 17, 2006 Report Posted September 17, 2006 The Yankees always seem to get boned on baserunning calls for some reason. It seems like the rules about guys being in the basepath need clarifying or rewriting, because the enforcement is all over the place.

Guest Smues Posted September 17, 2006 Report Posted September 17, 2006 Holy fuck what a complete CHOKE job by the Marlins as they blow a 4 run lead in extra innings thanks to the worst defense I've ever seen.

Marlins blew their chance at the Playoffs earlier last week when they blew all of those games against the Mets. The Marlins just dont have a really good bullpen. You cant have one with a 15 million dollar payroll.
Bored Posted September 17, 2006 Author Report Posted September 17, 2006 A's sweep the White Sox and that might be it for them. Angels get blown out for a second straight day, A's lead back to seven games. I just wanted thost last four in Anaheim to mean nothing and getting closer to that.

What is the Magic number for the A's? Is it 7 now?

Cuban Linx Posted September 18, 2006 Report Posted September 18, 2006 If Texas can't make the playoffs themselves at least their last 2 games have most likely put an end the Angels chances. Oakland winning the division i can live with, Los Angeles Anaheim California Angels of whateverthefuck i'd gladly never see near the playoffs again.

If you saw that play, you would have known that it was Craig Wilson playing first base and not Giambi. Wilson might have been a dope on the play but Coco ran about 3 feet out of the basepaths.
