The Amazing Race: 10 Edition

Recommended Posts

I don't think the Chos understood that this is a race. I would have ditched them long before 'Bama did.

Personally, I'd have smacked them upside the head for being stupid.

'Bama, Kim and the Beauty Queens- this has gotta be the most females ever in the final four.

Season 5 also had 5 (Bowling Moms, Christie, Kim and Nicole). The Family Edition had an even higher proportion (11 out of 16), but that race never happened.

Come to think of it, Season 5 had 9 females in the final 12 racers (Mirna and Schmirna and the twins). Of course, it would be hard not to have a bunch of women, since there were only 9 men total out of 11 teams.

Well, we're gonna get one all-female team heading to the Finish Line, so that's impressive. Even more impressive when you consider that it's inconceivable that Alabama even made it this far.

Agreed. Now let us never speak of <censored> again.

Dumb dumb dumb play from Tyler/James and Rob/Kim. I guarantee you that the Blondes will finish first or second at the end of this leg. The teams in front of them should have taken advantage of the Yielding opportunity.

That whole decision was retarded. The Barbies should have been shanked by one of the other teams. Common sense tells you to yield a strong team and hopefully knock them out of the game. 'Bama finished about 5 minutes behind everyone in a short sprint and no one had the foresight to leave them in as a definitive weak link. What's up with the boneheaded decisions by people on TAR and Survivor this year?

Maybe so, but it's for the best. I like the Blondes and have nothing but varying degrees of contempt for the other teams.

THANK GOD.

If I were black (which I'm not so it's a moot point) I'd be none too happy with the way Lyn and Karlyn are acting right now. Somebody is hot, young and white so automatically they're "evil"? Christ almighty. Lyn has shown that she's not a completely irrational person but somebody needs to take a strong hand to Karlyn because that woman is a complete and utter cunt.

Kim/Rob and Zoolander are retards for not yielding the Beauty Queens, though.

A yield leading to the final 3 teams would have been a total bullshit move. Has that happened before? I'm kinda new to TAR, picking it up for the family.

It almost happened to Colin and Christie in season 5 (the only season with a Yield on every leg, IIRC -- season 6 might have done that also, I don't remember), in the single greatest episode ever, but that was also a non-elimination leg.

Were Lyn and Karlyn not aware that they were being filmed? Did they seriously think we wouldn't see them gloating about being about to Yield the BQs, then ten minutes later saying that being Yielded themselves was typical of the BQs' game and they hoped they could live with themselves for it? I said it last week, but it goes triple this week -- what a couple of fucking hypocrites. I hate them so very, very much.

More bullshit from TAR producers.

Definitely. First off 'Bama got screwed over on their chance to Yield because of (seemingly legitimate) operating hours. Never mind that they were gonna waste it by Yielding the Barbies without even thinking about it strategically.

Then Zoolander and Douche IV/Kim don't Yield the Barbies, leaving the BQs to do what at that point was smart and Yield 'Bama.

Then 'Bama complain about they Yield being typical of the BQs, even though they would've done the same thing in that position.

Finally, the other teams noted how 'Bama were good with maps and directions. Which leads me to ask: why the fuck did they keep following the Chos? It should've been reversed.

I still can't get over how Yielded teams act like some grand injustice just happened to them. That's what the fucking thing is THERE for.

Classy act in giving the BQs the finger as well.

I can understand the mentality behind not having any of the former champions return. When they did it on Survivor for the All-Star edition there was so much bitching about people that have already won returning and the former champions were the first to go so the teams on the race would probably approach the situation the same way. Sucks that we don't get to see The Hippies return.

I don't think these are really nescessary to spoiler-tag, fwiw.

I loved them. TA-TOW.

BTW, fuck a spoiler tag at this point. We aren't spoiling anything because nobody knows anything. Teams that are apparently "confirmed" to be on the edition......

- Midget Sister and Non-Midget Sister

- Colin and Christie

- Hot Amish Twins

- Ray and Yolanda

- David and Mary (GOD WHY?)

- Rob and Amber

- The brothers from two or three seasons back who rolled their jeep in Africa

That would be awesome. If they thought they hated Colin, wait until they meet Boston Rob.

- Hot Amish Twins

The blonde ones? They were Amish?

- Ray and Yolanda

I'm all for seeing more of Yolanda. Ray, not so much, but it's a package deal, I suppose.

- David and Mary (GOD WHY?)

Because they're nice people. They can't race well at all, but they're nice people.

- The brothers from two or three seasons back who rolled their jeep in Africa

Yeah, they were cool.

I'm assuming that the Original Douche isn't participating, since he and Victoria just had a little Douche. The Clowns probably aren't in this, since Jon is doing the Finish Line on innertube. And hopefully they got "just friends" Debbie and Bianca.

I've heard that Team Guido from season 1 and John Vito & Jill from season 3 are also on it.

Screw Team Guido, I want Cha Cha Cha in as the Token Gay Team. They can get Kevin and Drew to be the requisite Season One team.

Nice plant by the TAR producers.

"Hey Barbies, just look for your guide for this leg of the race. He's wearing a bright orange shirt and standing by a pole doing absolutely nothing. You can't miss him."

"Awesome."

This is Romber level producer intervention.

Wow, both teams that chose the needle-in-a-haystack task found the clue relatively easily. Not looking good for the blondes.

EDIT: the 30 minute penalty isn't even going to come into play. I blame the Chos for their drive-stop-drive-stop-drive-stop a few legs back that kept Alabama in the race.

So, who's everyone picking? Unless the Druggies come down w/ another case of direction-itis, I think they'd have to mess up really badly in order to lose. Rob/Kim should come in 2nd, unless their car problems show up again. Alabama should bring up the rear, although they've been on point w/ directions & navigating these past couple legs (for the most part). Alabama sneaking into 2nd wouldn't completely surprise me, although I think it would take some car and/or anger problems from Rob/Kim to allow them to slip ahead.

I'm going with Rob & Kim, which has been my pick since they finally broke up the 6 pack.

'Bama shows NO hustle in the non driving parts of the race and will only win if the producers do something blatantly obvious to get them ahead. James and Tyler SHOULD win, but I think they will do something silly because they are the team most likely to be already counting the money. It happened those two weeks in a row where they finished 6th and that's why I have them coming in 2nd, with 'Bama bringing up the rear by a wide margin if the last task is physically demanding.
