dubq Posted April 2, 2008 Report Posted April 2, 2008 Maybe in VC form, I think there's actually an FP entry in the Japanese VC. I wouldn't hold your breath for anything new. That's up to Spike and Fire Pro Returns was intended to be seen as the final game in the series.
AndrewTS Posted April 10, 2008 Report Posted April 10, 2008 I read somewhere yesterday that Virtual Boy games were 'confirmed by Nintendo' for the VC. I'm 100% sure it was just some early April Fools lameness, but if they could put a few of those on the VC I'd certainly waste my money on them. I don't know how well they'd work in 2-D, but I'd be interested enough to try. Virtual Mario tennis is awesome stuff, and I enjoyed the pinball game surprisingly alot. I need to lug my virtual boys up north to Anchorage so I can kill my eyesight faster. The games mostly used glorified 3D effects, so it's possible. I'd d/l Wario Land since I haven't found an overall-good emulator for VB Great new announcement for WiiWare: Toki Tori! http://kotaku.com/378268/two-tribes-revive...ori-for-wiiware
ChrisMWaters Posted April 11, 2008 Report Posted April 11, 2008 Also for WiiWare...from the company that re-debuted Sam & Max to the gaming world: http://www.telltalegames.com/company/pressreleases/id-65 And the trailer... http://www.homestarrunner.com/sbcg4ap.html
dubq Posted April 11, 2008 Report Posted April 11, 2008 I wonder how the get away with using the Strong Bad character? Isn't he directly ripped off from DataEast's Tag Team Wrestling game? Or something like that?
ChrisMWaters Posted April 11, 2008 Report Posted April 11, 2008 I wonder how the get away with using the Strong Bad character? Isn't he directly ripped off from DataEast's Tag Team Wrestling game? Or something like that? Name only. Plus, The Brothers Chaps, who are making the Homestar stuff, actually own the Strong Bad character. They have been selling merchandise with him for a few years now.
BUTT Posted April 11, 2008 Report Posted April 11, 2008 I'm sure they were able to pick it up for a couple of bucks at the Data East intellectual property garage sale. I wonder how much BurgerTime went for.
luke-o Posted April 12, 2008 Report Posted April 12, 2008 I bought Mario Kart Wii. And I don't have the power cable for my Wii. And I won't get it back until Monday
Black Lushus Posted April 12, 2008 Report Posted April 12, 2008 A year and a half after launch and I FINALLY got a Wii today. Went in to Nebraska Furniture Mart's MegaMart section and they had 40 of them on display (this was after looking at 6 other stores last night). They had two employees guarding them. I just picked up the system, Wii Play and an extra nunchuck for now. I'll go, most likely tomorrow to pick up Mario Galaxy...Metroid Prime 3 and Zelda are next on the list. I didn't get any internet hookups yet, but I'll let you guys know when I'm on board there, most likely in a couple of weeks.
Hawkius Maximus Posted April 13, 2008 Report Posted April 13, 2008 I bought a Wii off Ebay Express. I totally did not learn my lesson from the 360 fiasco. Got an extra Wiimote & Smash Brothers Brawl. If I had more money I'd hunt down Galaxy and a Dongle for Wi-Fi, but I can't afford the 79 dollars Amazon wants right now.

Who knows why, but buyer beware.
Hawkius Maximus Posted April 15, 2008 Report Posted April 15, 2008 Well...that sucks. That's the only way I'm gonna get the Wii online.

Is the dongle the little USB thingy? I bought one and cant use it maybe we could work something out if you still want it. Edit: Found it, the CD and the extension thingy..PM me if you're interested in it. 2nd Edit: I cant believe the prices people want for it..I paid $25 for mine back in September but I couldnt use it so I had to pay $30 for the ethernet adapter.

AndrewTS Posted April 15, 2008 Report Posted April 15, 2008 Now and always. The dongle was just an alternative for those without wireless internet. I *think* WEP is required, though.
Thoth Posted April 15, 2008 Report Posted April 15, 2008 Wait I thought that was the only way to get your DS online? Or are they accepting standard protocol from any wireless router now? The DS has always used wireless routers. The dongle was for people that couldn't or didn't want to use a wireless router. As I've said in the past, it works better with some (Linksys) than with others (Netgear, but apparently Netgear works now? Whatever. My Smash is still broken for "With Anyone").
AndrewTS Posted April 15, 2008 Report Posted April 15, 2008 My Belkin works fine for DS and Wii, but my PSP is *impossible* to get online. Just flat out impossible. I get an IP time out every time.
Guest Smues Posted April 15, 2008 Report Posted April 15, 2008 D-link is where it's at. I've never had a problem getting DS, PSP, Wii, PS3, anything else working on mine no problem. Now if only I had my own connection again to run through my d-link instead of leeching my landlords not so cool router
luke-o Posted April 16, 2008 Report Posted April 16, 2008 Mario Kart Wii is awesome. The online mode is fantastic and where I spent pretty much of last night. Granted, I did get disconnected a few times, but I put that down to my shit internet. Once I did it more locally (rather than Worldwide) it was better.
Spaceman Spiff Posted April 16, 2008 Report Posted April 16, 2008 Hey, Luke-o, start a new thread for Mario Kart. Once it gets released here in the Colonies, there'll be a lot more talk.
Mik Posted April 17, 2008 Report Posted April 17, 2008 I walked into Gamestop today and on a total whim bought a Wii, Guitar Hero 3 and Super Mario Galaxy. The Wii came with the sports pack. I haven't played video games in years. What else should I definitely look to pick up?

Super Monkeyball Banana Blitz is sweet. Super Smash Bros. Brawl Mario Kart when it comes out on the 27th
treble Posted April 17, 2008 Report Posted April 17, 2008 Mario Strikers Charged is a pretty fun game.
foleyfanforever88 Posted April 17, 2008 Report Posted April 17, 2008 I second that Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz is a great party game. If you want to go and buy a bunch of used games so that you can get more for the same price, I'd recommend one of the Trauma Center games and one of the Tiger Woods games. Twilight Princess is also worth the money if you're into those kind of games.
MarvinisaLunatic Posted April 17, 2008 Report Posted April 17, 2008 I'll toss in: Twilight Princess Metroid Prime 3
BUTT Posted April 18, 2008 Report Posted April 18, 2008 I wouldn't suggest Zelda or Metroid to someone who hasn't played games in years.
Black Lushus Posted April 18, 2008 Report Posted April 18, 2008 I picked up a lot of shit on the cheap in the week that I've had my Wii, other than Wii Play, which I got pretty much for the other controller...figure I might as well get a cheapie shovelware title that the kid can play: -Metroid Prime 3 for 35 -Resident Evil 4 for 25 -Red Steel for 15 -Game Party for 10 -Trauma Center: Second Opinion for 20 All brand new...I get my tax stimulus check in two weeks, more games to come then. CANT WAIT TO STIMULATE THAT ECONOMY!
MarvinisaLunatic Posted April 18, 2008 Report Posted April 18, 2008 I wouldn't suggest Zelda or Metroid to someone who hasn't played games in years. Why? They're two of the best games available.
