Mecca Posted November 8, 2006 Report Posted November 8, 2006 Right now, it looks like George Allen will keep his seat. Dammit. They just showed the numbers on this one on MSNBC and Webb has slightly more votes than Allen now.
Quasar Posted November 8, 2006 Report Posted November 8, 2006 The Webb/Allen race has been going back and forth on CNN. Allen had the lead for a while then Webb just ahead then Allen got the lead back.
Edwin MacPhisto Posted November 8, 2006 Report Posted November 8, 2006 You can follow Webb/Allen as quickly as results come in here. With 35% of precincts reporting, Webb is leading by thirty-eight votes.
NoCalMike Posted November 8, 2006 Report Posted November 8, 2006 Scattered polling places in the east coast and midwest are staying open later, because there was a lot of trouble with the machines earlier, causing big delays...
Big Ol' Smitty Posted November 8, 2006 Report Posted November 8, 2006 Maccaca is reading this thread.
Big Ol' Smitty Posted November 8, 2006 Report Posted November 8, 2006 Ha, the Sandanistas won in Nicaragua. Reagan is rolling over in his grave. http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/conte...6110700235.html
MarvinisaLunatic Posted November 8, 2006 Report Posted November 8, 2006 Vermont..We elected a socialist to the Senate! They should be kicked out of the US for that. Or at least put on probation. Oh, and at 9:20 am this morning I voted..I had to wait in line by myself for a good 10 minutes while 6 old people struggled to use them dern new fandangled touch screen voting dohickeys..how hard is it to press the screen for who you want to vote for..took me less than 3 minutes to vote on 6 pages worth of ballot.
therealworldschampion Posted November 8, 2006 Report Posted November 8, 2006 Scumbag Menendez wins, I love how people in NJ whine about hating corruption in the state, then turn around and vote him in. Wait until he turns into Bob Torricelli Part II.
Art Sandusky Posted November 8, 2006 Report Posted November 8, 2006 Ha, the Sandanistas won in Nicaragua. Reagan is rolling over in his grave. http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/conte...6110700235.html The marriage amendment passed with a 75-25 margin or something, but our Republican governor, lieutenant governor, and at least this district's Republican congressman are in serious trouble where all three should have won handily. I should take a nap for an hour or two, because these results aren't coming in fast enough for me. I'm a bundle of nerves.
MarvinisaLunatic Posted November 8, 2006 Report Posted November 8, 2006 CNN is using odd logic in calling that NJ senate race for Menendez despite Keane leading by about 7,000 votes..
Art Sandusky Posted November 8, 2006 Report Posted November 8, 2006 Oh man, I just saw the story on CNN.com where our governor (Mark Sanford) couldn't vote because he didn't have his registration card. Wow.
Timmy8271 Posted November 8, 2006 Report Posted November 8, 2006 Oh man Harris got embarrassed. And it looks like we are getting another Republican governor in Charlie Crist. Oh well, He pissed off Karl Rove and that's always funny to see.
DMann2003 Posted November 8, 2006 Report Posted November 8, 2006 CNN projects Sherrod Brown picks up the Senate seat in OH, state's turning blue again.
devo Posted November 8, 2006 Report Posted November 8, 2006 Thank God. Things in general are looking good out here. We're going to get a Democratic Governor and as many as four new Democratic Represenatives/Senators. What's more, the minimum wage is probably going to be raised, gambling will more than likely be legalized in certain locations (for the purpose of educational funds), and smoking will be banned indoors throughout the state. So far, so good.
DMann2003 Posted November 8, 2006 Report Posted November 8, 2006 Hey I'm no smoker, but seriously a ban in bars?!?! I hope Issue 5 didn't pass, I mean you will have a lot of pissed off people and a lot of defiant bar owners if that law passes.
Quasar Posted November 8, 2006 Report Posted November 8, 2006 Rick Santorum will be unemployed in January.
devo Posted November 8, 2006 Report Posted November 8, 2006 Hey I'm no smoker, but seriously a ban in bars?!?! I hope Issue 5 didn't pass, I mean you will have a lot of pissed off people and a lot of defiant bar owners if that law passes. The ban's been in effect in Columbus for a year now, and though there are several defiant bars, it's been a very popular measure. 'Course, that's not concrete evidence that it'll be popular statewide, but I seriously doubt they'll be any serious public anger over the measure should it pass.
Quasar Posted November 8, 2006 Report Posted November 8, 2006 It looks like the son of a bitch Joe Lieberman is going to beat Ned Lamont.
KingPK Posted November 8, 2006 Report Posted November 8, 2006 Looks like the African-American bad choice won the Mass Govenorship over the Female Lt. Gov bad choice, The Dude With A Girl's Name bad choice and The Fat Lesbian bad choice. Whoopee. If I get jury duty because of this, heads will roll.
vivalaultra Posted November 8, 2006 Report Posted November 8, 2006 Things aren't looking good for Kinky in Texas. He's in 4th place...a low 4th place. Granted, there's still....almost 90% of precincts to be counted, but...Damn conservative Texas. I swear if W.'s running buddy wins another term in office...I'm gonna have a hard time getting my Kinky bumpersticker off of my car...because it's sticky...and butterknifes don't work well scraping off bumperstickers.
Quasar Posted November 8, 2006 Report Posted November 8, 2006 So, the CNN guys are talking about Rick Santorum running for President in 2008. You know, if Santorum runs for President, I pray that the Democrats can actually out campaign him. I shudder at the thought of President Santorum.
Guest Felonies! Posted November 8, 2006 Report Posted November 8, 2006 I thought things were looking good for Kinky. Bummer.
Quasar Posted November 8, 2006 Report Posted November 8, 2006 DAMMIT! Lieberman wins. There goes the chances of a Democratic majority.
Guest Felonies! Posted November 8, 2006 Report Posted November 8, 2006 DAMMIT! Lieberman wins. There goes the chances of a Democratic majority. He'll just rejoin the party, stupid.
Quasar Posted November 8, 2006 Report Posted November 8, 2006 The problem with Lieberman that he's pro-Iraq War and in an election that many are saying is a referendum on the war.......that's not really good. Lieberman is a Democrat in name only and he's not even that anymore. He's pro-censorship and pro-war, he's as liberal as Cryme Tyme is white.
vivalaultra Posted November 8, 2006 Report Posted November 8, 2006 If Kinky loses, it's the fault of college kids. Kinky had like...50,000 friends on both his Myspace and Facebook accounts and he's really been pushing for the young vote. However, most college kids only added him cuz his name's Kinky and had no intention whatsoever of voting for him. I hate college kids. Good for nothing bums.
