Lt. Al Giardello Posted October 9, 2006 Report Posted October 9, 2006 That's what I mean. He's on his way to becoming A-list. He doesn't need to play a super-heroe in a comic book movie. Well he is most likely playing DiamondBack in the Luke Cage movie. Maybe he loves comic books.
Ted the Poster Posted October 12, 2006 Report Posted October 12, 2006 Howard officially cast as James Rhodes
dubq Posted October 12, 2006 Report Posted October 12, 2006 I'm holding out that Tom Sellick still gets some sort of role in this film. Perhaps as Stark's father in flashbacks or something.
2GOLD Posted January 17, 2007 Report Posted January 17, 2007 We've got us a Pepper Potts... Oh god dammit, I hate Paltrow. Oh well, with Howard in it I guess there are still more positives than negatives.
Black Lushus Posted January 18, 2007 Report Posted January 18, 2007 good lord...this is some weird casting. But like Gold said, it DOES have Terrance Howard in it and I'm very curious to see how Downey Jr. does as Stark.
2GOLD Posted January 18, 2007 Report Posted January 18, 2007 My faith in Downey Jr. was really restored after seeing him in Kiss Kiss Bang Bang. I'm not too confident on two of the screen play writers but the other two were part of "Children of Men", so that balances itself out. Favreau directing worries me a little bit as he tends to be hit or miss. But Howard is just such a massive plus, the guy has been outstanding in everything.
SuperJerk Posted January 19, 2007 Report Posted January 19, 2007 I still don't see what the big fucking deal about Terence Howard is.
buffybeast Posted January 19, 2007 Report Posted January 19, 2007 Is Iron Man all CGI or a mix of CGI and live animation?
The Niggardly King Posted January 19, 2007 Report Posted January 19, 2007 I still don't see what the big fucking deal about Terence Howard is. He is consistently good-great in all of his film roles.
Black Lushus Posted January 19, 2007 Report Posted January 19, 2007 I still don't see what the big fucking deal about Terence Howard is. He is consistently good-great in all of his film roles. couldn't have said it any better
Lil' Bitch Posted January 20, 2007 Report Posted January 20, 2007 Howard is excellent news! As for the Mandarin, I'd like to see Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa be cast for it, but most likely it will go to Ken Watanabe.
SuperJerk Posted January 20, 2007 Report Posted January 20, 2007 I still don't see what the big fucking deal about Terence Howard is. He is consistently good-great in all of his film roles. couldn't have said it any better Well...could you say more? What role is it that you guys are basing this on, exactly?
Black Lushus Posted January 20, 2007 Report Posted January 20, 2007 he was great in Hustle & Flow and was the best part of Crash...he was one of the better parts of the mediocre Four Brothers...what?
The Niggardly King Posted January 21, 2007 Report Posted January 21, 2007 I still don't see what the big fucking deal about Terence Howard is. He is consistently good-great in all of his film roles. couldn't have said it any better Well...could you say more? What role is it that you guys are basing this on, exactly? Regardless of movie quality, Howard is consistently one of the best parts of the movie's he has starred in. Idlewild, Hustle & Flow, Crash, Hart's War, and that piece of shit 50 Cent movie.
SuperJerk Posted January 21, 2007 Report Posted January 21, 2007 The only movies I've seen him in were Crash and Mr. Holland's Opus. Since I didn't eve realize those two parts were the same guy (though the movies came out a decade apart), I'll assume he's a good actor and take your word for it that he'll be great in Iron Man.
dubq Posted January 21, 2007 Report Posted January 21, 2007 Is Iron Man all CGI or a mix of CGI and live animation? The animated DVD that just came out? It's a mix...
pochorenella Posted April 12, 2007 Report Posted April 12, 2007 Here's a pic of the gray armor. It looks great IMO:
Youth N Asia Posted April 15, 2007 Report Posted April 15, 2007 You'd think they'd go for the red and yellow costume for the movie...unless this is like the early days and they'll make another for later in the movie
dubq Posted April 15, 2007 Report Posted April 15, 2007 I'm guessing you're right YnA. At least, I hope you are. I have a feeling that the "later on in the movie" armor will be the Ultimate Iron Man armor.
luke-o Posted April 16, 2007 Report Posted April 16, 2007 Im thinking that too, but the grey armour looks great.
pochorenella Posted April 27, 2007 Report Posted April 27, 2007 And here's Tony Stark himself, Robert Downey, jr., building his armor. This pic reminds me of the opening sequence of the second season of the Iron Man animated series, where Stark is seen doing exactly the same:
Anakin Flair Posted April 28, 2007 Report Posted April 28, 2007 Well, those pics put my mind to rest on how Downey will LOOK as Tony Stark. Now I only wonder how well he can play him. But those pics really got me stoked for this movie. I can't wait for next May.
luke-o Posted April 28, 2007 Report Posted April 28, 2007 That does look really good. It has a very Batman Begins feel to it though.
