Tampa Bay Lightning and Montreal Canadians Not to be an ass, but you now have 9 teams in the West, and only 7 teams in the East, making the postseason. While I personally would love if it the NHL adopted a "top 16 teams, regardless of conference" approach to the playoffs, I don't think it's happening just yet.
