Hawk 34 Posted October 3, 2006 Report Posted October 3, 2006 I'll pick and hope for the Yankees in five, just because we'll be subjected to a relentless deluge of articles about A-Rod and Abreu's chokery for six months if they get knocked out in the first round. Or months of how clutch Jeter is and how he helped that big jerk, A-Rod.
Slayer Posted October 3, 2006 Report Posted October 3, 2006 FARNSWORTH. How many fuckin' times do I have to say it? More like SUCKSworth.
Guest Princess Leena Posted October 3, 2006 Report Posted October 3, 2006 Kyle Watchballgofarnsworth.
Guest Paul Posted October 3, 2006 Report Posted October 3, 2006 That was probably the "best" one... C'mon guys...Farnsworth HAS to be on a short leash. They're not gonna let him Tom Gordon us...
Guest Paul Posted October 3, 2006 Report Posted October 3, 2006 Oh, and the first post of this thread is wrong. Game two will be shown on ESPN...not FOX.
Guest Posted October 3, 2006 Report Posted October 3, 2006 That's great. The less McCarver, the better.
Guest Paul Posted October 3, 2006 Report Posted October 3, 2006 Indeed. I'll be all "McCarver'd" out after tonight. "Whoever wins this game will lead the series 1-0"
Guest Felonies! Posted October 3, 2006 Report Posted October 3, 2006 Paul, get in the AIM chat tonight! All we do is make fun of Timmy.
Slayer Posted October 3, 2006 Report Posted October 3, 2006 "Whoever wins this game will lead the series 1-0" "The loser will be down by one game"
Guest Felonies! Posted October 3, 2006 Report Posted October 3, 2006 Jason Verlander, starting for the Tigers.
strummer Posted October 3, 2006 Report Posted October 3, 2006 My favorite McCarverism is from some time last year (don't know if it was playoffs or regular season: "The key to being a winning team is to be a successful team"
Open the Muggy Gate Posted October 3, 2006 Report Posted October 3, 2006 Farnsworth is a changed man. He wears glasses now. He's Wild Thing now?
Vern Gagne Posted October 3, 2006 Report Posted October 3, 2006 I'm going out on a limb and picking the Tigers to win Game 1.
Guest Paul Posted October 3, 2006 Report Posted October 3, 2006 Nothing will stop Chien Meng Wang tonight. I may, Czech. If I'm around the house and not feeling so shitty.
Guest Princess Leena Posted October 3, 2006 Report Posted October 3, 2006 Paul, get in the AIM chat tonight! All we do is make fun of Timmy. Invite me. Except I make fun of everyone.
Guest Paul Posted October 3, 2006 Report Posted October 3, 2006 If they want you to know, you'll know. Oh and as far as I know, Verlander does not start tonight. Robertson will. Verlander vs Mussina tomorrow night.
Annabelle Posted October 3, 2006 Report Posted October 3, 2006 robertson has tossed several gems this year. its not as though the tigers are walking blind into yankee stadium.
Slayer Posted October 3, 2006 Report Posted October 3, 2006 If they want you to know, you'll know. Are you feeling left out?
Guest Paul Posted October 3, 2006 Report Posted October 3, 2006 Not at all. I'm not saying the Tigers are walking blindly into the Bronx. I'm saying they better watch where they step.
CanadianChris Posted October 3, 2006 Report Posted October 3, 2006 Hopefully the other two road teams winning is a good omen for Detroit. But I doubt it.
Guest Paul Posted October 3, 2006 Report Posted October 3, 2006 Me too. Of course, the Tigers have some things going for them tonight. Wang, a ground ball picther...Sheffield, playing 1st base. Ok, that's the only thing they have going for them.
Bruiser Chong Posted October 3, 2006 Report Posted October 3, 2006 "Whoever wins this game will lead the series 1-0" "The loser will be down by one game" I swear, I keep forgetting what he looks like. No matter how many times I see him, the face and voice just don't click and thus, I can't sustain a clear mental picture of what the guy looks like. In fact, I invariably wind up seeing this guy whenever I try to picture McCarver: Never mind the two look nothing alike. It's ingrained in my mind like that for some reason.
Guest Paul Posted October 3, 2006 Report Posted October 3, 2006 Meh, it's all the same. "Nazi's could break your nose, if angered."
EVIL~! alkeiper Posted October 3, 2006 Report Posted October 3, 2006 The chat is up. IM me for an invite.
Guest Posted October 4, 2006 Report Posted October 4, 2006 Come on guys, the chat needs to get bumpin'!
