What with Adrian Peterson's recent injury, and the fact that we haven't had this thread in a while, lets take a look at some nasty sports injuries. A few weeks ago I got all cracked out on youtube looking at these, so try to find some obscure ones. One angle of Theismann will be plenty, thanks.

Milky showed me this one. Napoleon McCallum:

This is posted for whoever hasn't seen it yet. I know someone is bound to post it, so I might as well save you the trouble. The first time I'd seen it, in one of those retrospective pieces they do on ESPN, I almost vomited in front of nogoodnick. At that time, I didnt know if he had died or not. Quick description is the Sabres goalie whose artery in his throat was sliced open by a skate. View at your own risk (no contact footage, just the aftermath and the blood):

There were what? At least FIVE bench clearing brawls in that hockey video? Why such a stink over the recent football fight.

Rider dragged around the ring, leg wrenched to pieces.

I wasn't even sure if I should post this one:

A horse racing accident that needs to be seen to be believed. I'm pretty sure the jockey lived, although both horses died.

This is no accident, but it made just about every sports blooper tape made from 1985-1995. A guy who about to lose money on a horse proceeded to jump onto the track and punch the horse. Not the jockey. The horse. Despite my blooper tape assessment, I'm having a hell of a time finding it...

Awesome, that was actually the clip is was after, with Tuff Hedeman breaking his face. With all the snapped limbs in this thread, I bet that hurt the most.
