Classy job by the Beavers fans jumping onto the field TWICE before the game is actually over. I can only hope USC is completely out of the mix now.

If they can beat Cal, Oregon and Notre Dame, they should still be in the conversation.

I think they'll lose at least one of those, though.

I wasn't surprised to see SC lose today. It's so similar to the loss at Cal a few years back. All morning I was nervous, and I turned out that I had a good reason.

This team is still going to the Rose Bowl, just as I expected them to. The BCS is going to continue to be a gigantic fuckup, this season being the worst of all.

Here are the possible outcomes that should be in play right now:

1. winner of OSU/Michigan vs. undefeated Big East team

if Louisville and West Virginia both lose:

2. Michigan/OSU play a close game and then rematch in the BCS title game since they are clearly the best two teams

3. OSU/Michigan ends up as a one-sided contest, winner plays some other one-loss team in the title game

I'm just happy Georgia Tech won. My bets are going kinda shitty, but the money doesn't mean that much to me right now anyway, so.... Jackets are Coastal Division champs!!!

(All they have to do is beat Duke and UNC. I'm calling the race now.)

because the computers effect of the BCS....I dont think one of the Big East teams could leapfrog the Michigan-OSU loser unless they drop below number three in both polls...a 1 loss SEC champion or Texas has a better chance than the Big East teams

He's one of the best boxing announcers of the last couple decades.

Nah, the computers are only 1/3 of the results, and while WVU and Louisville have shitty computer rankings right now, if one of them beats the other one, Rutgers, and Pitt, they'll move up to at least to #3 or #4, and that will be enough to get them in the national championship.

beating Louisville,an unranked Pittsburgh and Rutgers who would be unranked after a loss would not boost West Virginia from 14th to the top 5 in the computers.....Louisville is 9th in the computers so if everything falls right and Michigan-OSU is a rout then they have an outside chance....I dont think West Virginia has a chance at all

West Virginia is likely moving up to third in both polls tomorrow. If they win out, they'll probably be second in both polls, especially if the OSU/Michigan game is decisive. That would probably be enough to get them in the championship game.

They're going to pass USC this week, and a lot more teams will lose before the final BCS rankings. Also, even though Pitt's "unranked" right now, they're also the best team West Virginia's played this year, so they'll most certainly help them. When combined with Top 15 computer teams in Rutgers and Louisville, WVU will have no trouble moving up.

WV hasnt played Pittsburgh yet so are you saying the Panthers are the toughest team on their schedule?

A lot of people are writing off the WVU/Louisville winner, but the Big East overall is having a very strong year. The entire conference has a 41-18 record. Their BCS rankings are going to go up when they start knocking each other off more.

Big East gets about as much kudos as they deserve...theres three unbeaten teams but the only nonconference wins of note for any Big East teams were over Miami and Maryland and the toughest team Rutgers have beaten nonconference is Ohio...Louisville,WV and the rest really need to beef up their schedules for the future

I really thought Florida State would come out fired up with the all the Bowden retirement talk and beat up on an average Maryland team but guess not. Looks like FSU may be traveling west for their bowl game. If it's Boise they better hope the Broncos end up in the BCS Top 12.

Texas is leading again.

A&M is going to 8-1. They just stuffed their running game down Baylor's throat. They had over 300 yards rushing. Two 100-yard rushers, four guys with at least 30.

A&M isn't blowing anyone out but they're doing enough to win. Good running game, decent receivers, decent line, and a tough QB. Still not sold on the defense, but they're holding down opponents just enough so far. I'm still scared about what happens when they play Texas. Limas might get 300 receiving against them.

I was saying that they're better than anyone WVU's played thus far, so when they do play them, it will help their SOS tremendously. I apologize if I worded it awkardly. Anyway, if your still in doubt, look at it this way: West Virginia's currently ranked 4th in the BCS. The team directly above them lost, and one of the other two teams ahead of them will lose as well. Also, WVU has the three toughest games on their schedule all left to play. Do you really think that if WVU wins out , their three toughest games of the year won't be enough to put them ahead of teams that pick up a loss? Of course it will. The only way there's not a Big East team in the title game is if all three undefeateds pick up a loss.

And another I-A goes down to a I-AA team. Cal Poly wins at San Diego State.

I don't disagree. Especially since the Big East only has 7 conference games and no title game, teams should boost their OOC schedule more. But, to the computer polls, the Big East teams are likely going to be just as strong as every other BCS conference.

I don't think there's any way they can feasibly leave out an unbeaten Big East team, regardless of who it is. The worst scenario is for U of L to beat WVU, then have a letdown at Rutgers, then Rutgers gets crushed by WVU to end the season. All three end up at 11-1 and no one goes to the title game.

Let's face it, if U of L beats an unbeaten WVU and then an unbeaten Rutgers, how on earth can they not be #3 in the BCS? Ditto WVU should they win out. From there it's a matter of the Michigan/OSU loser dropping down to 3rd, which I'd hope they would. Let's just say that if the loser of that game stays #2 in the BCS and an unbeaten Big East team is fucked over, hopefully it's the end of the BCS as we know it.

My brother called it. What a heartless program San Diego St. is

I'm starting to think the Michigan-Ohio St. matchup is not going to live up the hype.
